My Review
The Fixer: The Killing Kind is book 2 in Jill Amy Rosenblatt’s The Fixer Series. It picks up exactly where book 1, The Fixer: The Naked Man, left off. Rosenblatt is a new author for me and i must say i am quite impressed . This Book had my attention from the first page. The plot of this thriller is fast paced and keeps your attention through the whole book. If you haven’t read the first book, The Naked Man first i recommend that you do. Even though The author does clue you in on some of the past events its not enough for you to really understand what is going on without reading the other book first. It is a Fantastic storyline with alot of suspense and twist. Theres blackmail, drugs, murders, disappearances, large amounts of money, and a dirty DEA agent. I must say Jill Rosenblatt is one talented writer. This book has a very large cast of characters which were very intriguing and unique. She gives you very clear descriptions of their personalities and appearance. She also gives you very vivid descriptions on all locations . That’s a lot of describing to do and she did it in a way that I did not have any problems remembering who was who and how each place looked. Be prepared to sit up late to see what will happen next because when you start you will not stop turning the pages til you reach the end. I felt like I was with her every step of the way. Interested yet ? If not here is a bit more.
Katerina Mills makes me think of a female version of Jack Reacher . Kat, is not exactly the model citizen. She lives a double life. One, being a student and the other being a fixer. She is smart and in collage and in alot of debt. She is also a woman with a lot of complications. A complicated life, complicated love life , and a very complicated job. Putting herself through law school she is always Late with her work and term papers . Kat the fixer, works for MJM Consultants, an agency that caters to wealthy clients by doing things for them . However, there are many risks involved. The money received once a job is done, is staggering. But she needs the money to pay off her loans and provide for her mother. Hired by MJM to do jobs that most people would run from since they often require her to kill someone, steal, and put herself in alot of danger. When the phone rings she has to stop whatever she is doing, drop it all and handle the client and whatever the client wishes her to do. She always manages to get herself into things that has you on the edge of your seat wondering if she will get herself out alive. This book will take you from one crazy dangerous and deadly assignment to the next one. Kat has to do all these requirements plus try and stay alive. Her adventures will leave you holding your breath as you set on the edge of your seat.
While some assignments get wrapped up in the end, there’s still a lot going on and you’re in for a bit of a cliff hanger. There is just so many questions left unanswered so i am guessing there is going be another book. Well at least i hope there is. I am looking forward to the next book in this series . I highly recommend this book, you won’t put it down.
