Layla Walker never imagined living in Jackson Hole until she inherited her grandfather’s veterinary practice. But at least there’s a lifestyle club available where she can get her so-not-vanilla needs met. And yet, there isn’t a single cowboy at the club who makes her stop and take notice… until the night she gets called in for an emergency at Hunt Trail Rides and she runs into the owner. He’s … big and brawny, looking more like a throwback to a Scottish raider than a modern-day cowboy. And then there’s the little fact that he kisses her brainless in under five seconds. That had to be a world record, at least in her book.
Alex Hunt keeps women at a distance. It’s not that he doesn’t partake of the bountiful submissives at his lifestyle club – he does – but he doesn’t let them get close. Abandoned by his mother as a child, now in his mid-thirties, he’s resigned himself to living the bachelor life… until one sexy hot veterinarian waltzes into his barn and helps save his foaling mare. Now he’s had a taste of heaven in a kiss that should have never happened, and he can’t help but want more of her seductive embrace. And he will stop at nothing to draw her into his world – and his bed.
But there’s a thin line between love and lust, fear and trust. Will Layla be able to let go of her fear and trust Alex? Or will she run away and prove to him that women can’t be trusted to stay?
Publisher’s Note: This steamy romance contains elements of power exchange. While it’s the sixth book in the Cuffs & Spurs series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone

I love these books based round the town of Jackson Hole and the Cuffs and Spurs BDSM club.
As always brilliantly written characters and a good paced detailed storyline with lots of emotion and heat!!!
Great read!

Alex is a gruff cowboy that has turned his back on relationships with the finer sex. He doesn’t even realize that he has commitment fears due to his mother abandoning him when he was 5. He just doesn’t allow attachments. Layla is the new vet in town. She is taking over her grandfathers practice and has a bit of a chip on her shoulder knowing that she is going to have to prove herself capable of taking care of big animals and not just cats and dogs. She also has a very realized issue with commitment and love. She is afraid to let people into her live since she “failed” her horse Bluebell. These two meet when Alex needs help with foals birth and sparks fly immediately between these two. The problem is they both are swimming in insecurities about love and life. The journey they take learning to trust each other and love together is emotional and inspiring. I enjoyed reading every minute of this book. This series along with all of the books in the other two crossover series are great. I have loved each and every one of them and not only highly recommend this book but all of the books in the three series. I really hope Spencer is next up in this series. He could do with some love of his own.

An enticing story of two people who feel immediate attraction towards each other but have wavering concerns about how much the other wants from their possible relationship. The BDSM scenes were full of heat. The chemistry never faltered. Theirs wasn’t a perfect relationship which made it believable. I loved the inclusion of other characters from previous books and the hint of a possible new relationship with another couple for new book on the horizon. Recommend
OMG I love Alex and Layla. The instant chemistry and attraction between them is so hotttttt. I love how it takes a while but they find trust in each other and give up their darkest secrets to each other. I hate how Alex is diverting his energy to fix his dad onto Layla but I also understand it. I truly enjoyed this. could not put it down. The way she instantly falls for him as he does for her makes the ending not seem rushed either.

Great, intense and a very good chemistry. In all books of anya you find enough depth in the main characters and that makes you keep reading the books. I definitely recommend them to everyone to read .. they are just top books. From me 5 stars .. Alex and Layla are made for each other.

The Doms in Jackson Hole just keep getting hotter and hotter!
Alex made me swoon right from the start. Growly and bossy on the outside, he’s all heart on the inside. He’s more than got his hands full with his ailing father and trail ride business, but he’s instantly smitten with the new veterinarian in town and simply cannot keep his hands to himself.
Layla took over her grandfather’s practice and has plenty of experience handling large animals, especially the two-legged kind. She’s no stranger to the lifestyle, but hasn’t yet found a Dom that can handle the unique concerns that Layla’s tortured past has saddled her with. I absolutely loved the way Alex looked past all that and saw the woman underneath all the pain.
Alex and Layla are the perfect complement to each other’s missing pieces. They forge a truly beautiful partnership and their story was everything I had hoped for. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This was an amazing read. Layla is new in town, still recovering from the loss of her grandfather and establishing herself with the ranches as competent in her field. Alex needs control when there is one thing in his life he can’t control he pushes in another. The descriptions are wonderful, characters awesome. I’m now going to start over with the series as previous characters are pulled in I crave to know their story. I love being pulled into a book where I feel like I know these people, Anya does that in her story.

Book 6 in the series, but you can read it as a standalone.
I really enjoy this series. The books are set in a beautiful setting and I love the fact that the characters aren’t perfect. They make mistakes, make presumptions, aren’t also in a good mood. that makes the characters more real and easy to relate to.
Layla and Alex make a wonderful couple. Both of them carry scars, but together they make eachother lives so much brighter.
A great addition to the Cuff and Spurs series. My only hiccup was the heavy use of “girly bits” that I found distracting.
Anya Summers has written an awesome series with all the cuffs and Spurs stories. The latest edition is just as stupendous as the previous ones! Alex and Laylah’s story is very endearing. He is her Scottish Warrior and she is his perfect submissive! Hot and steamy throughout!! Wonderful story!

Layla went over to see one of her patient a horse that was having problems with delivery. As she approaches the stall a man started to yell at her that tourist were not suppose to be there. She tells him that she was not a tourist. She then realized that Alex was the owner of the Hunt Trail Rides. She then tells him who she was Dr.Layla Walker and why she was there. He couldn’t believe she was the Vet and she was a women she had a lot of that type of attitude before they meet her. Layla knew that the mare was having problems so she went in to help her with the birthing. As she was getting herself together when she looked at Alex and he turned her chin off to the side and kissed her. They heard something in the stall which stopped the moment. Layla wanted a Dom in the bedroom only and at one point she thought maybe Alex was a Dom. Alex took her to breakfast with his brothers and their submissive wives and girlfriends. Mason realized where he saw Layla she was the new sub at the club. Layla has been going to the club but not has not scented with any Dom. Master Alex shows up and they scened together and he was not bothered by her scars. But, he wanted to find out what happened. Layla met Alex’s father who was in the middle to late stage of dementia and was being crusty and she gave as good as she got and his father really liked Layla. Alex’s father David was starting to get worse but when he was lucid he told Alex not to live his life and not to think all women were like his mother. Alex and Layla were spending more time together especially since she is still working with the animals at his ranch. Layla was getting better acquainted with the Doms and their subs. The ladies had a Sunday night gathering and it made her feel included and she loved the friendship they had for each other. Alex was still pushing her to get back on the horse and ride around the paddock once. She had a bad day and all he talked to her about is that she didn’t trust him. Then all of a sudden his father’s nurse ran out to get him. Alex ran in the house to his father Layla followed him into the room. Layla went to console him he told her she was not welcomed there any longer. She was leaving when the ambulance showed up. Alex spoke with his dad in the hospital and he knew he messed up badly. David told him to go and try to make things right. Layla came by David’s room the next day with balloons and flowers. David spoke with Layla about his son and he was counting on them getting together. Alex comes into the room and wants to speak with Layla but she was on her way out he told her he needed to talk right away. When they started to talk Alex confesses to Layla that he loved her and wanted to marry her. Layla was so shocked but of course she would marry him. They decided to get married at the hospital by the chaplain so they could have David present at their wedding. A couple months later David was still alive and he guessed about her secret.
I enjoyed every minute of this book, two lost souls find each other and fall in love. It sounds simple but it isn’t, and Layla and Alex are no exception. Layla has had tragedy in her past but is now starting a new life when she takes over her late grandfather’s veterinary practice and meets Alex when one of his horses has trouble foaling. Alex is taking care of his sick father and having trouble coming to terms with his mortality. Fortunately, Silas, a master at the club they both attend brings them together and the rest, as they say, is history. I really liked that not all Layla’s problems were solved but she and Allex still managed to work it out. Make sure you have some tissues on hand, there are some sad parts and others where you will have tears of joy, either way it is a lovely read.
