Cute story about the boy next door who came back different. Fast moving romance, but Raven and Logan have history, so it is believable. Both have baggage and issues to work through, but the story does not get bogged down by them. Lots of lighthearted humorous banter and plenty of steamy kisses in this one!
This is book 5 in a series of intertwined stories about a group of friends. All can be read as standalones, but it is fun to see main characters from one book reappear as support characters in another. Sometimes you get to see events from another perspective too.
Absolutely wonderful, and I mean both of those words; this novel was absolutely wonderful! This is the first book that I have ever read by Ms. Corry but I can promise you that it will not be the last! The challenges that this young lady faced was so real that I feel as if I could reach out and touch her right now to help her through her troubles. I love to read and I read a lot, but a book has not moved me like this has in a long time. I look forward to reading more of Judy Corry’s novels, I hope to find and feel just as deep a connection.
Having not read the previous books in the series – I really liked Raven and felt for her. The Mix-Up at the party was pretty funny and led to a great story. Logan was funny, sweet, kind, and just plain awesome. I liked how they each “needed” each other for an event and how they finally got to know the real them.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a sweet, clean romance. I normally don’t read YA romance stories as I am in my mid-50’s but this really seemed like a timeless piece. I really felt for Raven as her nickname was “Rebound Raven” as all the guys she kissed were on the rebound and would go back to their former girlfriends.
I recommend this story if you love sweet, clean romance.
This book grabbed right from the start. I loved the characters and their interactions in the story. This was a perfect romance story for teens. Raven is insecure about her status with guys. Logan has always been the bad-boy and has turned his life around. The story kept me engaged until the end. I recommend this book to those that love sweet romance between teenagers.
My Mistletoe Mix-Up is adorable from start to finish! A quick novella, this book is a speedy read, and perfect for the busy holiday season. The dynamic between Raven and Logan is charming and, despite the length, you really connect with the characters, and root for them from start to finish. The twin aspect adds that sweet little twist and it being set during the holiday season really gets you in the mood for the holiday season yourself.
There are several steamy kisses but otherwise it is a fun, squeaky clean read that could be read multiple times. The writing is wonderful and since this is the first book that I’ve read by Judy Corry I must say that I am smitten. Loved this holiday novella!
Cute Christmas romance with all the high school foibles to make you long for young love.
A very cute read.
It took me a little bit to get into it, but by halfway through, I was looking for excuses to pick it up again, even trying to read it while I cooked dinner. The kissing scenes were perfection!
Thanks for the sweet escape, Judy Corry
Terrific, YA, G-rated romantic comedy
Raven Rodgers had an unrequited crush for years on the boy next door, Jace Carmichael, but she could not stand Jace’s identical twin, Logan, who always teased her unmercifully. Eighteen months ago the Carmichael family moved away, and Raven is surprised and delighted to discover that they are back in town. Raven and the boys are 17-year-old juniors in high school versus the immature freshmen they were the last time they met, and she hopes that, maybe, just maybe, she might have a chance with Jace now. Then, to her utter amazement, Jace flirts with her and kisses her beneath a sprig of mistletoe at a Christmas party. She is thrilled that her chance for romance with Jace seems to have, at long last, arrived. Until she discovers the source of that toe-curling kiss isn’t actually Jace. It is her old nemesis, Logan.
Initially Raven is angry at Logan, because she assumes that he is simply, once again, yanking her chain, and in a more embarrassing way than ever before. But Logan assures her he’s not the same aggravating guy he used to be and, furthermore, he really needs her help. Without clearing it with him first, his mother has invited his unlamented, ex-girlfriend Olivia to visit their home. He is positive that the best way to avoid a messy encounter with Olivia is to convince her, once and for all, that he has moved on by presenting her with his new girlfriend. Which he assures Raven he can only do if she will agree to fake a romantic relationship with him.
This is a highly entertaining, G-rated, YA romantic comedy. Unlike far too many YA novels whose authors advertise them as comedies, this book is actually funny. I loved the switched-twins Meet Cute, and the ever popular fake-romance plot works really well in this story. I found both Raven and Logan to be quite likeable, and they make a terrific couple.
Judy Corry is outstanding at writing YA romances, such as this one, which fulfill the classic genre expectations of adult romance novels: no cheating, no romantic triangles, and dual point of view of the hero and heroine. She always includes, as well, a very satisfying HEA.
All in all, I highly recommend this novel to fans of YA romantic comedy.
I rate this book as follows:

In this sweet young adult romance, twin brothers get up to mischief. Raven is initially upset when she finds that she’s kissed the wrong brother, however Logan redeems himself in her eyes and she discovers he has more depth than she initially thought. The story is clean, romantic, generally well written and is suitable for young adults.
