WOW!!! What an engaging faux romance. Kinsley is a young woman who grew up feeling she had no control over her life. All her decisions were made for her by her family. Now she is being coerced into an arranged marriage. She starts taking inventory of herself and starts to fight for her independence. Killian is her intended and he wants to be CEO of the Felton dynasty. But he has to marry Kinsley to become that. There is a power struggle between Kinsley and Killian. Just when Kinsley starts to stand up to her domineering grandfather, he has a heart attack. When he awakes Kinsley tells him how she feels and that she is willing to walk away from everything just so she can make her own life decisions. Then the unthinkable happens. Cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read the next book. This is an exciting relationship that may or may not lead to romance. I highly recommend this book. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received an ARC of Maybe Yes from Ms. Miles, and this is my honest review. Kinsley is a 21 year old model who is attending Yale while modeling for several magazines, and she’s a hotel heiress. Her family owns and runs some major casinos in Las Vegas. For many years, she has always known that she will have to marry whoever is picked by her father and grandfather. When her father suddenly dies, Kinsley finds that not only is her world turned upside down, but she now has to marry sooner rather than later. When Kinsley escapes to another casino to drown her sorrows in gaming, she meets Killian. Killian is a young man who knows what he wants and goes after it. After a night of sensual conquests, Kinsley feels a bit more prepared to stand up to her grandfather about who and when she will marry. Even though their attraction and sexual tension draws them toward each other, Kinsley and Killian each want different things. When Kinsley realizes that the man she is to wed is Killian, she becomes furious at the games that are being played. Kinsley wants to marry for love, and Killian does not want to marry at all.
I absolutely LOVE Killian. His alpha, take no prisoners attitude just drew me in. He is a man who knows his worth and demands it. I liked Kinsley, but I felt like she needed a bit more backbone. The story line drew me in and held me captivated. The characters were excellently written, and the steamy scenes were intense and heart-stopping. I must warn you that this does end in a MAJOR cliffhanger! I highly recommend this book to those 18+ due to language and sexual scenes. Thank you Ms. Miles for allowing me to enter and be enthralled in your Las Vegas world. I can not wait to find out what happens next.
This is the first book in a new series from this talented author, and what a fantastic story this is. Kinsley has an exceptionally wealthy family, and she has been brought up with her life planned for her, and she just needs to follow this path. When her father passes away, Kinsley finds out that she is to marry a man who has already been chosen for her by her father. Killian has worked for 5 years with the company, and he always knew that he would be the CEO and married to Kinsley. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written story but OMG, that cliffy!! This story has a plot twist that I for one did not see coming, and I cannot wait to read the next book in this phenomenal series.
I am hooked and I cannot wait for the next book this one is so good. The cliffhanger that is just awesome. The author has written about a young woman who has had her life dictated by her family. The book shows all the ups and downs with some great twists. The only sad part is the next book is not out till mid-January and the third one a not till February. Oh, the injustice of it all!! I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I both love and hate it when I get to the end of a book and I don’t know what to say. I hate it because, well, I always have something to say and when I’m speechless I feel all off center. But I love it because it means that an author has successfully transported me deeply into their world, to the point that my real life doesn’t quite fit right until I recover from the story hangover. I spent half this story loving Kinsley and Killian and the other half wanting to strangle them – or at least try to shake some sense into them. Even knowing that this is part one of the series, it’s still a very steep and abrupt cliff I fell off of at the end of the book. I am very invested in seeing where this story goes next.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
Kinsley is about to graduate from Yale. She has to marry a man her family tells her to, or she doesn’t get her inheritance. Excellent writing, love this author!

This is book one of this series, so beware cliffhanger ahead. This was a good read for me. I really liked Killian, the main male character. In my opinion he really made the book. Kinsley, the main female character was just OK. I did not think she was very likable and in total was just too immature and spineless. The plot though is good and kept my interest with plenty of twists and turns. I am interested in seeing what happens in the next book.
Heiress Kinsley Felton has never really dated because she’s expected to marry who’s best for running her family’s casino empire. When Kinsley’s father dies unexpectedly, her grandfather tells her she’s going to meet her fiancé tomorrow, and then she’ll marry him in 6 months. Kinsley is used to being told what to do but now wants to make her own decisions even though she doesn’t know what she wants in life. Will Kinsley make the right decision or will it end in disaster? Note: this story ends on a cliffhanger.
Maybe Yes is an intriguing, drama-filled and steamy story full of twists and turns that will pull you in. I can’t wait to read Maybe Never, Book 2 of the Maybe, Definitely series.
