Augie:I don’t need anyone’s protection. I’m fine. But to appease my sister after a home invasion, I agree to take self-defense lessons. They just so happen to be with a big, muscled former navy SEAL who may or may not be everything I’ve always daydreamed about but never thought I could have. And he’s dead-set on looking out for me even when things in my life suddenly get complicated. Between the … complicated. Between the increasing threats against me and pressure from my wealthy family to be someone I’m not, I’m having a hard time keeping it together. As I begin to fall apart, I lose faith I’ll ever meet anyone who’ll want a mess like me—much less meet someone strong and capable like Saint Wilde.
The more time I spend with him, however, the more I realize he’s not as put together as he seems. And I begin to wonder… while Saint’s busy looking after everyone else, who’s looking after him?
Saint:
After my big fat mouth gets me in trouble with a high-profile client, my boss takes away the bodyguard gig and sends me back to my hometown to give one of society’s elites a few lessons at a local gym. Babysitting an antiques nerd is hardly my idea of a good time, but as soon the attractive, petite man walks into the workout center, I nearly trip over my own feet.
He’s effing adorable.
And absolutely scared to death.
He won’t tell me what’s spooked him, but I won’t rest until I find a way to take the fear out of his gorgeous eyes. Even if defending Augie means I have to stop protecting my own heart.
His Saint is the fifth book in the Forever Wilde series but can be read out of order. Beware it includes 90k words of delicious man parts touching, grandfathers meddling, sassy siblings, cats mrrp-ing… and one Stevie.

Sweet and tender, this book is perfectly paced and has just enough spice to make it sizzle. A great read.
**********Contains Spoilers**********
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was probably my favourite book of the series so far as their was a bit suspense trying to work out who was targeting Augie and for what reason. I loved the connection between Saint and Augie as even though they come from completely different worlds, they just work. I enjoyed their banter especially while they were working on Augie’s Self Defence training after his house was broken into and his sister Rory suggested that he try learning Self Defence through a Security Firm since he doesn’t want nor think he needs a Bodyguard as he’s either completely in denial or doesn’t think that his house was specifically targeted. I loved that when Augie’s family was talking down to him getting involved with the family discussion at the dinner table when Augie found out that his Uncle Eric and his a*sehole Cousin Brett are wanting the building that Augie’s Antique Shop is in even though Augie recently found out that his Granddad gifted him the building in a Trust so it’s not part of the Stiel Foundation. CSP owns one of building’s next to Augie’s Antique Shop and the Stiel Foundation owns the other one and Saint found out the CSP is a fraudulent nonprofit which is meant to provide low income housing but the neither of the Shops are considered low income and Hobie residents wouldn’t want low income housing right in the town square and the property is less than 8 percent. Saint told them that he has more than passing knowledge on what they’re talking about since his dad manages $500 billion dollars in real estate investment deals globally and he also helped his dad’s, Saint’s Granddads’ multimillion-dollar property investment which is in Hobie. I also loved how Saint basically told them all they treat Augie like sh*t and that he bends himself over backwards trying to impress them and gets absolutely nothing in return. His sister Rory is awesome and his Grandfather has some redeeming qualities. I’m really looking forward to reading Doc and Grandpa’s story next and finding out how their relationship began as they were in the Army together and seeing Grandpa being reunited with his long lost sister Tilly. All I can say is it’ll be a massive gay celebration when all the Marian’s and the Wilde’s descend on Napa Valley. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
His Saint is a sweet addition to my ever increasing library of Lucy Lennox books. For some reason I expected Saint to be gruff and uber-manly. He isn’t, and I don’t mind. He is just as loveable and personable as the other Wildes. His patience and gentleness with Augie are touching.
Augie is sweet. A bit clueless and in denial about some of the things happening in the story but sweet. As the book progressed and he opened up to more of the people around him, I could see a character that I would love and remember.
The storyline is interesting, and the secondary characters are well placed and supportive of the overall story. I always enjoy seeing the authors characters from prior books. They are amusing and bring a sense of family to the book.
Saint and Augie have a passion that is strong, and the HEA is satisfying.
I look forward to more from this author.
Antiques, keys, a nerd & an ex- Seal. Fate?
I am so loving the Forever Wilde series. Watching the Wilde men find their forever men warms the heart. This installment has it all: intrigue, lots of family angst, choices, trust issues, insecurities, and HEA. What’s not to love!
I won’t reword the blurb. Suffice it to say Saint and Augie have an interesting time getting to HEA. The attraction bertween them is as intense as it is inevitable, even if it’s inappropriate. The sex is hotter than the Texas summer. And, you will never think of antiques the same way again. Oh, did I mention the baby? I loved this book. I can’t wait to read the next one!
If you haven’t already read the previous books in this series, please do so now. To get the most out of this continuing story, read them in order. I know I am late in discovering this series. But all the books are here, no waiting. You will love this series.
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
If I had to quote an author as a reference to contemporary gay romance, I would say Lucy Lennox without hesitation. With His Saint, the author only confirmed my opinion. I had a lot of fun reading this fifth installment of his series « A forever wilde novel » that I devoured in a few hours only.
Although I had loved Hudson’s luck, the previous book of the series, I had some reservations because I had not found the excitement that Wilde fire had procured me. With His Saint, I felt this little thrill again during my reading. Unlike his predecessor, this one does not only revolve around the love story between his two heroes. Although light, we discover in addition to a small investigation that comes in support of the relationship and offers a framework to evolve.
Lucy had already proved her talents for writing action scenes with Wilde fire and her titles in collaboration with Sloane Kennedy and she effectively puts these qualities at the service of His Saint’s story.
I loved the character of Saint. I did not necessarily hang on to him during his appearances in the previous titles, but I must admit that I fell under his spell in this book. He is the perfect embodiment of the tender-hearted bear, and his loyalty and dedication to his family and sister commands respect and makes him extremely touching.
Augie is also a lovable and interesting character, although his enormous lack of self-confidence and unwillingness to accept help has sometimes frustrated me.
For the rest, we find all the qualities that make a book of Lucy Lennox a success. An effective, dynamic and addictive pen, an exciting and well-conducted story with a well-crafted storyline, very hot sex scenes, excellent dialogues and, of course, a universe and the funny and endearing members of this crazy family.
Finally, I can only advise His saint, the reading of the last chapters is worth reading this book given what they announce for the next volume which will be centered on King, one of the characters that the we have not had the chance to discover until now.
I love this series so much! When you meet Augie in Hudson and Charlie’s book, you automatically fall in love with the quiet, reserved shop owner. You also see Saint in Hudson’s book and see his background and frustration with his protection detail at the time. Bringing shy Augie and outgoing Saint together was so perfect. Their chemistry was insane and the falling in love with super sweet. Another highly recommended book in this series!
This is another great story in the Forever Wilde series. Saint Wilde, a security specialist and former Navy SEAL, meets his match in Augie. Augie is adorably nerdy, rich, insecure, lonely, and afraid to trust. Each man is perfect in the other’s eyes, and I love them both.
Saint has an uphill battle on his hands here, as he has gotten in trouble at work and has been sent home to Hobie, Texas. He is assigned to teach self defense to Augie, and ordered not to do anything stupid. Saint is pretty sure hitting on his client on the first day would not be looked upon favorably. Augie is afraid of appearing weak or pathetic to Saint, so he unwisely keeps Saint in the dark on some important issues that he should know about. While there are many of the author’s trademark laugh out loud moments, there is also a lot of pain here, mostly due to Augie’s past. Saint learns quickly to tread carefully around his prickly love interest; and it’s wonderful to see Augie very slowly begin to gain confidence and decide to trust in Saint.
Along with the romance and mystery involving Saint and Augie, there are also signs that we’re finally getting ready to see the Wilde and Marian families come together. Both series are wonderful, and I can’t wait to see how my favorite characters from each series react to their counterparts. For now, though, I am quite satisfied with the ending (and bonus scene) provided for Saint and Augie. Happy sighs!
Saint and Augie
Enjoyable, easy, sexy read with a happily ever after. This is the 5th book in the Forever Wilde series. You could read it as a stand-alone but I’d recommend reading the previous books to get a better understanding of the family dynamic. There are also some references to the Made Marian series and while everything is explained and it’s only a blip in the book, you may not completely appreciate the significance of that small portion of the book without the context of the other series. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and am excited about the next installment of the series.
