Welcome back to Hairy Wart! I missed the heck outta all of ya’! And, I know you won’t be surprised that we’re once again raisin’ hell and forgettin’ to take names.Rosie, here, buckle up, Buttercups, I’m the Witch your momma warned you about, but in an epically awesome way. Promise. Everything was fine. I mean, normal… as usual, my bossy Gator-in-law was butting his snout in where it didn’t belong, and Daisy was runnin’ interference when she could keep her eyes open. Just another sunny day in Hairy Wort…right?
Sure, but dadgummit it was shorter lived than a flea fart in a windstorm. Gettin’ outta the house (away from Faith) Taffy and I happened upon a dead body in the rubble of the Marshall Mansion that literally got up and walked away
Now, Beau and Faith are losin’ their minds, the Dragonettes are beside themselves, and Daisy, well, she’s sleepin’ but that beside the point. Just when I thought things had fallen to the bottom of the swamp where the creepy crawlies creep and crawl, a tall, handsome Panther with a quick smile and a glint in his gleaming emerald eyes appeared smack dab in the middle of this mess and he’s tellin’ everybody who’ll listen that he’s my Mate.
What the H-E-Double-hockey-sticks am I supposed to do with that pile of Grunch crap? Good Goddess, if you love me, send a hundred-pound box of chocolate and three gallons of Miss Bunny’s sweet iced tea.
One thing’s for darned sure, when the Goddess and the Universe team up, with Destiny and Fate on the sidelines, well, it’s more than a Witch can endure. Come on down, hang out a while, ‘cause Heaven knows I could use your help.

Hilarious Magical Fun!
In the Town of Hairy Wart, Louisiana these wacky, witchy offspring’s of ‘Nate the Bastard’, Faith, Rosie and Daisy are keeping to their vow of being the best PI’s around……Southern Fried Sass is their baby and Rosie is up to her PI snoopy ways with her ever present side kick Taffy the dragonette. She is flabbergasted when she discovers a dead body, but when she returns to the scene of the crime to show her ever doubtful sister Faith and her mate croc shifter Beau, ‘said body’ is gone! But that’s not the worst, or better depending on how Rosie sees it, her mate shows up, or so he says, Mal a panther shifter claiming that ‘said body’ (Samuel) is very much alive. Then to top it all off more offspring’s of ‘Nate the Bastard’ show up and it’s a good thing that Freddie & Kerrirose are good guys.
Now they all have to trek into the swamps cause her hot as all heck pudy cat & ‘said body’ (Samuel) have been kidnapped, by non other than the evil Grunch which seems to be another……..I’ll leave that to your imagination.
Get ready for a belly ache from all the laughing!
Finding a mate the Southern Fried way
This is only the second book in the series, but I’m hooked! These southern witches love to use their, sass, wit and snark to solve mysteries and avoid getting mated. It’s all a front though. Once their fated mate has proven his love and devotion the ladies give him their all. With all of their friends and every half-sibling that shows up they get stronger. The more the merrier in the search for a HEA. I can’t wait to see which sibling will find their fated mate next.
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
It was a great book!
Rosie totally brings the sassy back.
This books is a laugh out loud kind of book.
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Overall rating:4.5
Snarky humor definitely abounds throughout this storyline. Book 2 concentrated on Rosie but her sisters and the dragonettes are never far away! Non stop humor runs from page to page so make sure to clear a few hours for laughter! A wonderful read for anyone wanting your day light and happy . This author truly delivers with her unique flair. All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
This is the second book in Julia Mills “Southern Fried Sass” series and I have to say, this one is even better than the first. If you haven’t started this series yet, please, do yourself a favor and read book one, “Later Gator”, get yourself introduced to the quirky family and rest of the cast and come join us for this one. Although they can be read alone, it’s really more fun from the beginning and new characters keep popping into the mix. This crazy mixed up crew is just deep down entertaining.
Rosie thought dealing with her elder sister was draining – now she has to deal with her Sheriff Gator-in-law too! But finding dead bodies is becoming a regular fixture in her life. But dead bodies shouldn’t move – well not unless they’re a zombie – right?
The Dragonettes are still causing all kinds of havoc. But now a Panther thinks he is her mate and he is not shy about telling all and sundry! Grunches, more siblings from daddy dearest to contend with and Mal being all…sexy & smooth and poor Rosie is in a spin!
Great wee story. Hairy Wort is the place to be for all your paranormal craziness!
Julia Mills Southern Fried Sass books are so full of snarky humor and hot sex that it makes them a blast to read. I love her characters, they are so fun and full of mayhem. This book along with all of Julia Mills other books are a must read!
Love Rosie and her super sassy attitude!! Enjoy all the ladies of Southern Fried Sass and the adventures that they experience. Can’t wait for the next book!!
A great romp through the swamp with Rosie, the Dragonettes, her Witchy sisters and her Gator-in-law, this book should come with a laugh out loud warning and a seatbelt! In true Julie Mills style, it is funny, passionate, action-filled, steamy and a wonderfully entertaining read. Don’t miss it.
If you have been following the stories in this series you already know your going to bust a gut with laughter.
Rosie and her little Dragonette find themselves in the middle of a murder? or not?
These two are hiliarious and add in a few panthers and well it’s a party of hysterics.
I hope you grab your copy and enjoy…
The Southern Sass-y zaniness is back! And this time it’s up to Rosie to save the day. And maybe find her mate…wait…what?
Love these crazy sisters and all their friends.
** spoiler alert ** Have to say, I absolutely loved Rosie and Mal. Both were definitely the perfect match when it came to attitude and stubbornness. Loved how despite what her brother was doing, she at least attempted to save him. Definitely was great to meet more siblings from Nate the Bastard! Cannot wait for more in this series!
Nosey Rosie is the second installment in the Southern Fried Sass series and is filled with just that, some of the sassiest heroines I have ever read. There is Rosie, our heroine of this book and her half sisters, Faith and Daisy along with their dragonettes, and all manner of shifters, and witches and it is rumored maybe a vampire or two.
Rosie has a feeling that there is someone in need of help at the Marshall Mansion and when she arrives she finds a dead body. When she reaches out to her sisters and her Gator-in Law who is the local sheriff, they find the body missing and find The brother of the king of “big Cats”, Mal.
What happens from there is filled with laugh out loud antics, lots of sass and some smoking hot love scenes.
I have loved both the books in this series and can’t wait for the next one to come out. Julia Mills is so talented and I have enjoyed every book of hers I have read.
Contains some sexual content.
This book has such great characters. These girls are witches who have the same father because he liked to deposit his sperm generously and then leave. Faith has found her mate in a gator shifter (book 1). Rosie is snarky, sarcastic, nosey, and gets herself into trouble, although the getting into trouble seems to be a shared trait for all the sisters. Rosie finds her mate, he finds her, in this one and our sisters get a big surprise! A lot of laughs through out the story. Well written, short, fun read. RECOMMENDED!
This is the second book in the Southern Fried Sass Series. It’s another hysterically funny short story with Rosie Rosenbloom, who is a snarky witch from Hairy Wart, a town of supernaturals. Also included in the story are her three witchy sisters, the three adorable and funny Dragonettes and a host of other supernatural characters. Of course there are the villains too. A mystery to solve and a few surprises.
Love the characters and the storyline of this series with plenty of belly laughs and adventure. Highly recommend and looking forward to the next one!!
