She carries a wrench; he carries a secret. When a foreign prince and his brother get stranded in rural North Carolina, it’s up to local mechanic, Ruby, to save the day. But she needs help of her own. Can Prince Leo lend a hand or will things get too messy when hearts become involved?
Enjoyed the storyline, enough to buy the series. Very few typos. Loved the characters, confident men letting strong women be themselves.
I really enjoyed this book!!!
I liked it quite a bit. It ends on a cliffhanger though. I really enjoyed the repartee.
Awesome book
Although this is not one of my favorites written by Sylvie Stewart, it was still enjoyable enough that it leaves me curious as to how this story will end. I am intrigued enough to that I will be listening to the next book to see. The narration was done really well. The southern accent was really good.
Mechanic Ruby Green is going to be homeless and jobless thanks to her cousin Jason skipping bail. That is, unless Ruby miraculously comes up with $30,000 in the next 60 days. Even if Ruby sells her vintage car for $20,000 she still needs another $10,000. So when new acquaintance Malcolm Baxter offers Ruby $10,000 for a road trip with him and his twin Leonardo, she says “Deal.” Ruby really likes the charming and sexy Leo but knows she doesn’t have a chance with him. After all, small town girls like Ruby don’t get fairy tale endings, right? Note: this story ends on a cliff hanger
Between a Rock and a Royal is a funny, drama-filled and steamy story that will leave you hungry for more. I can’t wait to read Blue Bloods and Backroads, Book 2 of the Kings of Carolina series.
I listened to the Audible version. Meagan Moses does an excellent job bringing the story alive. I generally prefer dual narration for dual points of view, but with the separate accents for each character it was really easy to keep them straight.
I’ve listened to other books by Sylvie Stewart and this one seemed significantly different from the others. I found the characters to be less relatable for me personally, but no less funny.
Romantic comedy fans should listen to this one as an audiobook, but make sure you have Blue Bloods and Backroads available to start immediately after as this one ends on a cliffhanger. I would actually have preferred them to be combined into one book.
Road Trip 2 guys who happen to be prince’s from a country not many had heard of, but the future king wanted to visit the Carolina’s and they lost their vehicle and ended up in a bar in Ruby’s little town. Malcolm was intoxicated and being obnoxious when she left. She was gettting in her car where she was scared to death by who she thought was Malcolm but there was something different about him but she had hurt her ankle so she was very upset and her ankle puffed up she couldn’t even drive herself home but Leo came to the rescue to take her home. They had to stay the night at the auto shop, where Malcolm decided the next day that he wanted to use Ruby and Ruby’s car for their rode trip. Ruby and Leo seem to become close very quickly. Book 1 of this series. Enjoyed the characters. I own an audible copy. I am providing an honest review.
Totally enjoying this story, then it ended. It is a natural ending as far as Ruby is concerned it very well could be the end of her and Leo. Except, there are other storylines to be ended as well. So I’m on to the conclusion.
Meagan Moses is doing a fabulous job narrating.
I recieved a free Audible copy of this story, at my request, in exchange for a honest review.
Between a Rock and a Royal’ is a delightful, well written tale of a couple of royals, a road trip and love. Ms. Stewart’s characters are fun and Meagan Moses does a wonderful job of bringing them to life. (FYI, this is part one of two) Enjoy!
(Review based on Audible version)
I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook of this story. Sylvie Stewart has produced another hit but I’m not surprised. It’s well written with a plot that keeps you engaged. It’s got southern charm together with pretentious royalty off on a road trip. The brothers, Leonardo and Malcolm, are total opposites, of course. Ruby Green brings in some spunk. This author knows how to bring drama, angst, and great humor to her stories. Let’s not forget chemistry and hot romance. Sheesh. ***fans face***
This is a duet so the story does end in a cliff hanger but you don’t have to wait long.
The narrator, Meagan Moses, does a fine job of bringing the book to life. She gives each character a voice and personality. She’s great with the accents. The characters are each infused with the drama, angst, and humor that makes the story great. The narrator is entertaining and easy to listen to. I recommend this audiobook if you are looking for a warm, humorous story.
Twin princes on the run for adventure trying to avoid their security while making the most of their impulsive ride.
One lady mechanic who could play tour guide and help her family.
Trouble was one quick fling just wasn’t enough especially when it ends in misunderstanding and no proper goodbyes.
This story has a slower start but once it gets moving it really gets going. Full of fun, a handsy layered Twin, another twin full of heart and a spitfire women from small town America. I laughed and felt for them. A romantic relationship of missed Oppourtunity that does end in a cliffhanger but thankfully a book two.
I took awhile to read this one cause I wanted to wait for book two but once I started I couldn’t put it down.
I hope Malcolm also gets his own Hea. He puts on a front- i’ d love to see his walls knocked down.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
An intriguing sweet humorous adventure romance story, it ends in a cliffhanger. Incredible characters. A well-written book. It was a pleasure to read this book.
