A man with a prison record has no place around a fresh faced college student. Tell that to Rory Prince. He should stay the hell away from Olive Cunningham. There’s one small problem, though. She won’t stop almost getting killed—and with this too-smart, too-sweet girl holding his heart in her hands, Rory is powerless to do anything but keep saving her. Homeschooled from a young age, Olive is now … Olive is now out on her own and discovering the world, one milkshake flavor at a time. Until recently, she has experienced life through books. She’s walked in a million sets of shoes while flipping pages—enough to know that Rory gives her once-in-a-lifetime feelings. If only he would stop trying to protect her…from himself.

This was a quick, sweet, and sexy little read. I adored the heroine. I loved Rory. My only complaint, I wanted an epilogue.
It’s cute and is summer-vibes incarnate, but it has an almost surreal vibe that I couldn’t wrap my head around. Normally I don’t like when books are unnecessarily drawn out, but this feels too short and I would’ve liked if it was fleshed out more.
I empathize with Olive and actually like her a lot, but maybe she should’ve pumped the breaks a little before hooking up with Rory. They’re a good fit for each other – the introverted nerd and the bad boy – whose chemistry is bound in running away from a broken past. Just wish there was more. It feels like it was rushed.
I read this book in the Spring Romance Box Set. I enjoyed Rory and Olive’s story. Rory, an ex-con, who doesn’t think he deserves someone in his life and Olive, who has been rejected by her parents for YouTube fame, are an unusual pair. Tessa brings them together and shows how the most unlikely pair can find love and family.
Ex-convict Rory knows he should stay away from fresh-faced college student Olivia. If only she would quit almost getting herself killed and he could resist saving the book nerd repeatedly. – Although Rory had served time and was quick to get angry, he loved deeply and wanted to protect those he cares for. Olivia was sweet and helped Rory want to be a better person. I liked Rory, his two brothers, and Olivia. I loved the way Rory called Olivia “Sunbeam.” This is an excellent read.
First Love
Sweet, naive Olive and older, hard Rory had a very sweet first love story. Even though Rory was older, this was his first love and he was heartbreakingly head over heels for Olive. I love the broken boy, fixed by the sweet girl. It’s a tail as old as time. Awesome storyline and great lead on for other stories in this series should Tessa Bailey decide to write within this world. Loved this book!
Rory was released from prison, lives with his brothers, works their bar, and is a lifeguard. Olive is starting college, moved from her family, and has a habit of almost getting killed. Rory has saved her twice but thinks he’s not good enough for her. It’ll take Rory seeing himself as Olive sees him for him to realize that he’s everything she wants. But when she gets scared and breaks up with Rory, can they live without each other?
Great story with smoking hot sex. A woman just starting her life and a man who has had a rough life.

I think it’s been a minute since Tessa wrote in the new adult genre. Hit it out of the park. Put a dirty mouth on Rory and it’s a home run. This is one of the cutest meet cute moments I have read in awhile between Rory and Olive. Loved it and can’t wait for the next one.
Obsessed
I became obsessed with Rory and Olive pretty quickly, and it hasn’t abated yet! I loved this couple, and I loved this book! It was so sexy and emotional! I was really rooting for this couple from the first page! So good!
Sweet romance with a ex con Rory and college student Olive. A cute meet up with these two after a near miss for Olive. Rory tried to fight the feelings and Olive did too. But love at first sight won out.
I love love love this series. The characters are wonderful and I kept wanting to read more. Definitely recommend!
3.5*
I’m kind of embarrassed to admit that I teared up a little towards the end of this book, when Rory makes his great declaration. Before that it was all this alpha-male possessiveness that can sometimes, okay a lot of times, drive me a little crazy in books. But I kind of developed a soft spot for Rory, so I’ll excuse his somewhat dominating/domineering nature.
He and Olive are the very definition of opposites attract- older (but not that much older) bad boy with a record, sweet young innocent girl from money. Yet somehow these two worked. They were just what the other needed- she was the light and fun in his life, he was the strong and steady in hers.
This book was a bit over-the-top for me, the type of story that hits right on the cusp of “will I love it or will I hate it”, but luckily it didn’t tip over the edge and I ended up enjoying it.
I’m actually looking forward to Jamie and Marcus’s story. From the peeks at Marcus in Mouth to Mouth I’m expecting him to be a real treat!

Wowee. Nobody does growly, sexy dirty talking men like Tessa Bailey. I love how her heroes are at the end of their rope with attraction and can barely hold themselves back. Rory is deliciously hot and my kryptonite; a “bad boy” torturing himself with past deeds that doesn’t feel worthy. He wants to stay away from Olive for her own good, but it’s just not possible. Olive just wants to belong to someone and feel cherished. When they finally come together, it’s hot hot hot!
I LOVED this new NA from Tessa Bailey. It was perfect. Angsty, searing hot, romantic and swoony. Wonderful characters–a young but strong and endearing heroine, and a protective, protective, dirty-talking alpha hero. And also a secondary cast that I’m crossing every available digit in hope they will have their own books. I loved it.
4.5 stars!
If this isn’t proof that Tessa Bailey can write anything, I don’t know what is! I enjoyed Mouth to Mouth so dang much. It’s new adult at it finest. It had the right amount of angst and passion. As well as Tessa Bailey’s special brand of sexy. I am so in love with the relationship between Olive, a super sweet, smart and innocent (but not naive) college student and, Rory…*dreamy sigh*…the guilt ridden bad boy with a soft side. They could not be anymore different but they fit so perfectly together. I love me a protective alpha and that characteristic in Rory only made me crush on him more. I admit, I was a little bummed at the length of the story. If only because I selfishly can’t get enough of the sweetness between Olive and Rory.
It’s official, Tessa Bailey is a magician. She has made me fall in love with a New Adult novel! Mouth to Mouth was a slice of pure sunshine and I can’t recommend it more. Rory is an ex-con who works with his two brothers as a lifeguard on Long Beach and a bartender at their family bar when he meets Olive Cunningham (or rather saves her from being flattened by a bus) sparks fly immediately.
This book is instalove goodness partnered with endless summer vibes and the smoking hot love scenes Tessa Bailey is known for. Mouth to Mouth is a classic boy from the wrong side of the tracks falls in love with the rich but down to earth girl story and it’s everything I didn’t know I needed right now. Rory is my new official book boyfriend. I loved him so freaking hard. He was rough around the edges, but so freaking sweet. Olive was, for the most part, mature yet fun and I completely felt their connection.
I think everyone will relate in some way to Olive and Rory’s love story; from the absolute high of first love to the insecurities that come with falling so deeply for someone. This book was pure and made me believe in love at first sight. The fun plot combined with some of the most beautiful and romantic lines I think Tessa Bailey has ever written, created a breathtaking and emotional novel with just the right amount of angst.
If I had to provide a criticism, it’s only that I wanted more! I fell in love with the entire secondary cast of characters and I cannot wait for their stories. Tessa has made me care deeply about all three Prince brothers and their best friend from childhood, Jiya.
Overall, everything about this book worked for me. I was grinning from the time I picked this book up to the time I set it down. If you’ve never read a Tessa Bailey novel, Mouth to Mouth is the perfect starting point.
**I received an ARC of this book in order to provide an honest review**
I keep thinking ‘nah, this book can’t be better, hotter, sweeter than the last one she wrote’ but Tessa keeps proving me wrong. Tessa has hit her stride in the past couple of years and is turning out better and better love stories. This one is short, sexy, sweet and nearly had me in tears because Rory is the perfect man and Olive is heartbreakingly darling. Another 5 star read. Thanks Tessa!
I loved this book. I could not put it down. Bad boy Rory was perfect for good girl Olive. The chemistry was hit. The banter was real. The story hit me in all the feels.
When it comes to writing deeply, conflicted souls… Tessa Bailey owns it.
I mean.. she holds the crown when it comes to epic, dirty talking scenes. Which I need to add, Mouth to Mouth, has a nice healthy dose of that. I love how Ms. Bailey does NA!!
I don’t want to give away anything about this story, because I truly loved it from start to finish. Both Rory and Olive are working their own issues as they embark on their deeply connected relationship. While my heart broke for Rory and Olive, I loved how Ms. Bailey kept the realism of this story close to the vest. This made me appreciate the story so much more.
Please note: This is a new adult series. Meaning, some of the decisions made by the heroine are very typical for a college freshman who was home schooled all her life.
I loved the start of this series and already anticipating what’s in store for the current supporting characters.
“I don’t want to be her villain.”
Mouth to Mouth is just another example of how Tessa Bailey can DO NO WRONG! Exquisitely written, flawlessly filthy, and undeniably romantic! Rory and Olive are in a league of their own! I’m absolutely powerless when it comes to this woman’s writing. While I’m in her world, nothing else matters and nothing else exists for me. It’s vivid. It’s sexy. It’s unforgettable. I couldn’t look away…not even for a second.
This new adult romance with a delicious erotic undertone gave me all the feels and all the tingles. I had butterflies in my stomach for days! Smiling, blushing, laughing, and even tearing up a bit…book one in Tessa’s new Beach Kingdom series, gives us a brand new batch of characters to fall head over heels for. We have a Tessa Bailey signature alpha hero with a bad boy edge and a sweet, innocent, and smart heroine who becomes his world. These two together are EVERYTHING! She tames his wildness and he opens her eyes to sexy adventures. There is heartbreak. There is growth. There is so much love packed into this novel. If you haven’t discovered the greatness that is Tessa Bailey, this book right here is the PERFECT place to start!
