Gregor Beaumont is in a world of hurt that all the charm in his gorgeous, well-toned body can’t fix. His late grandfather, God rest his soul, wanted to make sure Gregor and his two playboy brothers settle down. He had the brilliant idea of buying up a huge share of the brothers’ engine company and using that as incentive for each brother to find Mrs. Right. Settle down or lose the company to a … competitor. Well, that’s just not happening to Gregor, not when life’s so good at the moment. Gregor likes racing fast cars and seducing fast women, and not necessarily in that order. Settle down? Not a chance. Gregor has his own brilliant idea: find some wholesome and desperate girl to pretend to be his girlfriend. No harm. No foul. Unless things start getting a little bit too real.
Kara Alerby knows she’s a sucker for blues eyes and a great smile, so when Gregor comes into her theater wanting to hire her to act the part of his adoring girlfriend, she’s already got her defenses on high alert. But Kara’s a practical girl, and Gregor’s offering a boatload of money that would go a long way toward making her dream of creating a fine arts school for gifted kids a reality. She can ignore his smiles, his charisma, and his kiss-me mouth if it means she’ll get her school. All she has to do is remind herself, every second of every day they’re together, that it’s all make believe—even when it doesn’t always feel that way.
When Greg’s love of racing puts his life in jeopardy, Kara isn’t ready to watch another person die in front of her like her father did. And Greg isn’t about to stop doing the one thing that makes life worth living. The two are on a collision course, one that could break them apart forever if they don’t change directions…

I really enjoyed this book as usual Leslie fetches us a good well-written romance that will have you hooked right from the start. I liked both Kara and Gregor and really enjoyed getting to know them they were good interesting characters I like a good fake relationship romance so this one was right up my street. This is a super read and I cannot wait to read the next book.
A Delicious Contemporary Read!
Author Leslie North has written a quick read about one of three billionaire brothers (book one), Gregor. Gregor is from the U.K. who lives in Seatle and along with his brothers own, develop and build F1 racing engines, and in Gregor’s case races the F1 too. The premise of the story is that in his grandfather’s will the brothers must marry or lose control of their company to a competitor. Enter Kara. An actress, director, teacher who wants her own acting school. The deal is struct between the two so that both benefit. But do they? Can they acclimate? Can they compromise?
Liked this story because the author had me at F1…I’m a big racing fan. The premise was sweet and the plot wasn’t drawn out but went right to what was going to happen. No long drawn out angst. Kara was a great female character. She was not a simpering female but an honest to goodness adult woman. Booyah!
I’m recommending this book for your reading pleasure and enjoyment.

A well-written story that I enjoyed reading. This is the first book in a new series called The Beaumont Brothers Book and I want to read the next one. Gregor Beaumont and Kara Alerby each have there own reasons for going into a fake relationship. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Will acting turn to the real thing?
Leslie is one of my top ten authors and I love this first in the series of the Beaumont Brothers. Gregor needs to be in a serious relationship to abide by his grandfather’s will, if he and his brothers don’t want to risk losing their company. Kara is teaching summer improv that Gregor signs up for in the hopes of getting Kara to act as his girlfriend. Will their acting lead to a real relationship? You have to read to find out and won’t want to put the book down as you cruise through the pages!
This was okay. The writing flowed well, but the story line felt rushed, and there was gaps of days at a time. Gregor and Kara have okay chemistry, but Kara was not really my cup of tea after a while. How you can make such demands of someone you’ve known a matter of weeks is beyond me. It would be different if she didn’t know his profession before going into the agreement, but she did. Not only did she flip out when he didn’t do what she wanted, she acted like he was the one that didn’t want to have a partnership. Really?! Partnerships are compromising. Not one party making demands, and expecting the other to just go with it without discussion. The ending ended up being very sweet, but I’m still not sure about them as a couple.
I voluntarliy reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
I give this book 3.5 stars. It was a great book but was very predictable. I loved the plot Kara is a theatre geek who is propositioned by the billionaire Gregor. He needs her to play pretend with him so he is able to get the inheritance from his grandfather. It reminded me of a Hallmark Movie very predictable. It was still a good story and I did enjoy the book!

What a delightful story of insta-love between drama teacher, Kara Alerby and Gregor Beaumont. I felt the story was a little rushed. The storyline could have definitely been drawn out into a novel. The overall story is very good. Fake fiancée with a planned fake marriage that turned too quickly into the real thing. I did enjoy reading it.
