Sutton Briar has lived the past several years doing everything in her power to remain invisible. Boxy skirts? Oversized tops in muted colors? Yes please! She learned the hard way that gaining the attention of the opposite sex could lead down a very dangerous path. She’s content to blend in with the wallpaper, but then her boss makes a request she can’t refuse for fear of losing her job.Pretend to … her job.
Pretend to be the girlfriend of legendary musician, Camden Knight.
There’s just one problem.
She can’t stand him… and the feeling is mutual.
Camden Knight spent years burying a crucial part of himself from the public eye. But when a one-night stand gone horribly wrong blows the lid off his secret, the only hope of repairing the damage to his reputation comes at the hands of a woman he despises.
They’re complete opposites in every way, but what starts as a fake relationship quickly turns into something neither of them expected. And what was supposed to be only one night leaves them both wanting so much more.

Loved Camden and Sutton’s story. Solid storyline. Strong characters. A little angst. The story flowed causing me to not want to put the book down. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.
It was soo good to come back to the Civil Corruption boys and all people around. I know that this book doesn’t include this wild men exactly but I really enjoy reading about folks from previous books. I loved Sutton snd Knight!
One Knight Stand has very accurate tittle. Why ??? Because Jess will hook You up with another hot and naughty guy… for sure Your night will be sleeples and untamed There’s one thing for which You need to be prepared – ONE NIGHT won’t be enough… Knight and Sutton will stay forever in every readers heart. This book is one of this kind which You won’t put down, from the first page to the last one this book sucks in compeletely. There’s a lot off funny, sweet and hot moments… but it’s book about love so there’s will be also drama in the background.
Knight might be a player, but it looks like he also could find heart… somewhere He looks like tough guy, but when You meet him closer It can be seen that he is just good guy… Good guy who need right woman by his side. Maybe it sounds like rule old just like time old could be… but what should I write when it perfectly fit here? Sutton knows how to keep this man on right side of her life. She is so sweet and gentle… almost to soft for Knight, but during reading, after knowing her better every reader will find out how amazing young woman she is.
Maybe their story started like ONE NIGHT STAND, but quiclky became something a lot more. TWO lonley hearts find each other in messed up life, and that’s the most important, guys !!!! ALL this things makes this book so wonderfull… so go grab Your books in hands !!!
Whew, One Knight Stand is AMAZING!! I it so much more than I had even been anticipating.
When I met Camden in Defile, I adored him. He and Tate were so close, in that way that not many friendships have. And here in his own story, he shined even more. Poor Cam has gotten himself into a pickle. He had a good time with the wrong woman and that woman was vengeful enough to release a tape of them together after he didn’t call her for seconds. A tape that shows something that should have stayed private, and now the press and public are after him. To say his image needs a bit of cleaning up is an understatement. So when Tate appoints Sutton to be Cam’s fake girlfriend? Um…well let’s just say things don’t start off on the best footing because these two cannot stand each other. She because she hates spoiled, elitist celebrities like him, and he because Sut isn’t his type (or so he says) and he thinks she’s an ice queen (she’s not.)
But as time goes by, their natural chemistry kicks in and they cannot resist falling into bed with each other. Unfortunately, she’s got demons, serious demons, and a past that still haunts her. And he? Well, his feelings are something he can’t, doesn’t want to, define yet. But he’ll have to if he wants to keep his woman, the woman he really does love, even if he hasn’t told her.
Like I mentioned before, I absolutely fell in love with One Knight Stand. Camden is so damn swoony and all kinds of sexy and alpha, but he’s not an ass at all. Sutton, though, was the real star in their story. She’s so strong, survived so much, and yet has stayed such a sweetheart. I love her sass and the way she resisted Cam’s charm, but not for too long *wink* And it was good to see cameos by some of the Civil Corruption guys like Declan. It was great seeing Declan and Camden’s friendship had stood the test and had gotten stronger, considering how much Declan hated him in Defile. Jessica Prince’s rockstars are always sexy and alpha, maybe not always likeable (at least for me), but they’ve always got presences. But I do believe Camden Knight has got them all beat. He’s sexy, he’s damn swoon worthy and he’s got the hugest heart. Paired with the amazing heroine that Sutton is, and One Knight Stand ended up being my favorite yet of Jessica Prince’s rockstar romances. I can’t wait for more!
Oh man, I’ve been dying for Camden Knight’s story since meeting him in Defile and I knew I would absolutely love him!
In One Knight Stand we have a bit of an enemies-to-lovers, fake-dating story. One that brings out both the good and bad sides of Sutton and Camden. When this whole fake dating thing starts, it’s to help repair Camden’s public persona—he’s been embroiled into a bit of a scandal, and only Sutton can help him work his way out of it.
And they can’t stand each other. But they doth protesteth too much… And once they get over themselves and their perceptions of each other, wowza.
I loved Sutton and Cam and their budding romance. It was fun, flirty, snarky, and not fake. Nope. Real feelings crept in. And it was so fun to watch them fall in love. And it wasn’t an easy path—each of them had baggage to unpack and move on from.
I also loved the side characters—Brina, Sutton’s sister was my favorite. I loved her protectiveness and her fierce love for her sister. I also adored Cam’s mother, Val, and his relationship with his siblings too. They didn’t treat him like a star, but as their annoying little brother. They grounded him.
I did struggle a bit with the neat wrap up of some of the more emotional side-stories though—especially the relationship between Sutton and her mother. But overall, the romance between Sutton and Cam won me over as a whole, and that’s really what One Knight Stand is all about—Sutton and Cam.
***5 Stars***
After reading, and loving, the Civil Corruption series I was all in when it was announced that Camden Knight, Tate’s BFF and smexy as sin rockstar, was going to get his own HEA ~ especially after that little tease at the end of Ravage, that definitely had me making grabby hands and saying “Come to mama” *BSEG* ~ and One Knight Stand did NOT disappoint! It had the perfect blend of angst, drama, sweet swoonyness, smexy as hell times and a ton of moments that had me laughing out loud throughout the book that kept me turning the pages and made a little sad at the end because there were no more words to read and I really, REALLY wanted more.
I already liked Cam after meeting him in Defile. His unwavering loyalty for Tatum was such a draw it was hard not to like the man, but now I adore him. He is a rock god, he is all kinds of Alpha AF smexy and is cocky, but isn’t OTT arrogant and underneath it all is a man with a golden heart who simply loves writing and play music.
Sutton I adored…in the end. This isn’t to say that I didn’t like her to begin with, because I did. She is a spitfire and has a whole lot of sass, even if it is hidden beneath many, many layers of armour. It was more I needed to see what made her tick and when those layers fell and her past came out, I hurt for her, but I loved watching her fight through her demons and show the world how amazing she really was.
With the whole enemies to lovers mixed with a fake relationship thing going on, sparks were going to fly to matter how you spun it and sparks flew in every way possible and I thoroughly enjoyed each second of it. The chemistry between them was intense from the start and I loved watching them go from being all snarly and snarky with each other to realizing that their preconceived notions of each other were, for the most part incorrect and actually acknowledged it like the adults they are. Now, they had their moments, dear lord did they have them, but when they sorted their shit out, I loved how honest and sincere they were with each other. And as far as that little “issue” with Camden and what he likes in bed…HAWT! Absolutely HAWT. And while there are enough issues between the two of them, another twist had to be added to the mix and it’s a big one. It wasn’t a surprise, but as much as I hated the initial fallout, I loved how it was the catalyst for a pretty amazing HEA all around.
This one pulled me in and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Outside of Cam and Sutton I totally enjoyed the supporting cast of characters. We do get to spend a little bit of time with the Civil Corruption crew, but it was Sutton and Camden’s families that were amazing! Sabrina and Valery had me cracking up and Bryan and the kiddos weren’t far behind. And that Epilogue was all kinds of everything! If you haven’t read the Civil Corruption series, you won’t be lost, this one can be read as a standalone, but I think it would be a lot more fun if you did, especially Defile.
And last but not least, now that Camden has his HEA, when can we expect Stone to get his?? *BSEG*

One Knight Stand by Jessica Prince was a fake romance with two people who could not be any different from each other. But you know what happens when opposites attract! Camden Knight and Sutton Briar were not exactly friends, but Camden needed help and apparently Sutton was the perfect one to help.
My heart just melted for Camden. A Rockstar who was sexy and cocky, but also sweet and caring. Sutton prefers to keep her life private and, in the background, but now her life is going to blow up in a big way. Camden’s reputation has taken a dive and he needs help. Enter Sutton to try and turn things around as his new girlfriend.
Though they did not care for each other at the start, things begin to change as they got to know each other. They had great chemistry and I loved their banter! One Knight Stand by Jessica Prince was such a fun read that full of angst, laughs and sexy times! The characters burned up the pages. I loved the character, story and seeing old friends!

One Knight Stand is another great Jessica Prince book!! I was so happy to dive inside the rocker world just a little bit longer.
I loved Camden when I met him in Defile, as Tatum’s best friend. In One Knight Stand we get so much more that that sweet guy. But, there is so much more to him that one would think. He’s so hot and sexy! Plus his family is a freaking hoot! I loved his mom so much! Paired with his nutty dad! So great!
Sutton was a little bit cold at first, but once we got to see past her walls, you couldn’t help but like her. Her relationship with her sister and brother-in-law was so tight! Some of my favorite parts of the book were when they are there.
One thing that did throw me a little was that Sutton’s POV was in first person and Camden’s was in third. It took me a few chapters switching back and forth before it felt more natural. Also, the use of the word cutie was used so much in this book. There were situations where that word felt out of place. But, that did no way take away from my enjoyment of the book.
I really, really loved their story. I was so happy he got his own book. Plus, an added bonus, we get to see a bit of the Civil Corruption boys!!
When I read Camden Knight in Defile, he had me hooked and intrigued and that was just instantly meeting him as a secondary character in Defile. Now that he is the main character in One Knight Stand, holy hotness alert!!!! That whole intriguing factor goes up to 1000x. He steams up the pages and just has you enthralled. Camden is this sexy , red-hot, delicious rockstar. He is most definitely alpha and yes, a cocky know it all, but not really that arrogant. Beneath his rock god exterior is a real man that is super protective and one that has a heart of gold. Then there is Sutton Briar – she is one sweet, fierce yet sassy woman. She has so many layers to her personality that it like peeling an onion to get to her inner core. Through the book it was so wonderful to see those layers finally start to peel away, start to see her finally open up and start to have trust in those around her after all that had happened in her past. Sutton grew emotionally and I was excited to see her hard work pay off. To not let her demons beat her for once and for her to overcome those deamons and come out victorious was truly monumental.
I don’t know how to word this without giving the story away so what I will say is Sutton and Camden didn’t get along right from very start. Once they started on this “relationship “to get to know each other, feelings started to flair. And when that started to happened , let me tell you, the hugest smile grew on my face. This story is full of drama, angst, heartache, despair, anger, 2nd chances, action, twists, turns, forgiveness, healing, chemistry, passion truest love and romance. Camden and Sutton have some of the hottest witty banter with some sexy spice put in. Also, the supporting cast adds an added layer of sassy sweetness and sharp charm . One Knight Stand is an excellent read to add to your e-books pile as a must keep.
My Rating: 4.7 stars ****
It was such a delight to read the story of Camden and Sutton. I did not realize this was a spin off of Jessica Prince’s Civil Corruption Series that I must now read! Camden has that rock and roll bad boy image that was just made incredibly worse with the release of a revealing video. Sutton is the quiet, safe “girl next door”. When she is asked to help clean up Camden’s bad boy image by being his fake girlfriend, lines become blurred and feelings begin to stir and unfortunately the skeletons come tumbling out of the closet. The HEA ending is worth every moment of anger, fear and tears that you must endure to make it to the epilogue. Thank you Jessica Prince for this amazing side trip through the lives of Camden and Sutton but now I must return to the original journey and read about the lives of Civil Corruption.

I really love the ‘Fake Dating’ trope, we all know it’s only a matter of time before fireworks go off and it becomes the real deal. One Knight Stand is exactly that premise told in dual POV and featuring troubled Main Characters, both in desperate need of rescuing. There are painful secrets that are eventually revealed and trusts that seem to be betrayed; all this told in a heartfelt story that makes the HEA ending that much more satisfying.
“You trust your gut. The heart is a beautiful thing, but it tends to lead us astray when it’s hurting. Your gut never steers wrong.”
When the legendary singer/musician Camden Knight has a sex tape leaked, by a vengeful one night stand, he needs to have his reputation repaired, stat. That’s where his best friend and manager, Tatum, steps in. She has a solution; he needs to “date” someone respectable, be in a serious relationship, to appease the press. And Tate has just the perfect person in mind: her assistant, Sutton. The same assistant Camden’s been dissing for two years, who he thinks resembles a frigid nun because of the way she dresses and acts. He’s convinced this will never work.
“No one would buy that I’d ever hook up with someone like her.”
“Someone like her? What the hell is that supposed to mean?”
“No offense, but you’re not exactly my type.”
“What? Smart, educated women who can string more than three words together to form a sentence aren’t your type?”
Sutton Briar wasn’t always this reserved. She was outgoing and trusting until a horrible and traumatizing incident, the summer before she started college, when she was eighteen. She’s kept it a secret from everyone for the last eight years, including her older sister/best friend, Sabrina. She’s been a shell of her old self, since then. The two of them are incredibly close; they’ve had each other’s backs when their single mother Sylvia was especially mean and said hurtful things to them.
“I love her, but she’s one of those miserable people who won’t be satisfied if everyone else isn’t as miserable as she is.”
Sylvia was bitter and resentful of successful men, especially those that were celebrities. She has her reasons; their father was famous and had abandoned them when they were young.
When Tate suggests Sutton for the job of Camden’s girlfriend, she feels she can’t say no to her boss. Sutton thinks Camden’s an insufferable and rude jerk, he’s always shown his disdain towards her when he visited Tate’s office. It will only be for a while, Tate tells them, until there’s another scandal or the press is convinced they’re together and gets bored. A fake relationship with an expiration date, they both remind each other. She really should have said no, since they have to act like a loving couple and spend time together, Sutton’s sure no one will ever believe it.
“I really think you can be good for her, Camden. But she has a nasty habit of sabotaging her own happiness. I never understood it until now.”
The more time they’re together, the more they both realize how wrong they were to judge the other and they begin to have strong feelings for each other. Sutton feels she can confide and trust in Camden, he’s convinced her he’s not going anywhere; she tells him her secrets, sure he’ll keep them safe, and it feels good to finally confess them.
“You promised you’d stick with me.”
“And you promised you’d never hurt me. I guess that makes us both liars.”
There’s a whole lot more going on in the story, from mothers getting involved and bitter exes, this story packs a punch! The end is fabulous, I loved it!
One Knight Stand is the story of Camden who needs a complete image overhaul after a one night stand gone public. A girl next door is needed to clean up his image and Sutton, the assistant of Camden’s best friend, fits the bill.
Camden and Sutton were two totally different people, not at all who I would think would end up together. Slowly, but surely, the lines blur and the relationship between the two becomes something real. There were a few twists and turns that caught me off guard in the story and I was surprised. However, the only thing I did not like was the overuse of the nicknames, especially during sex.
Overall, it was a good story and I enjoyed it in one sitting!
I love the world Jessica Prince has created. Her rock star romances with a mix of love and hate are so much fun. Then the way she blends characters from previous stories into a new one never detracts but definitely enhances the storyline. One Knight Stand is one such romance.
Camden Knight has got a bit of an attitude after being exposed by a scorned lover. He’s kind of arrogant but has a soft spot and a good heart.
Sutton Briar works for his management team. There is no love lost between them. And she’s got a bias she needs to work through. But she’s a sweetheart and loving even to those not always deserving.
Together they need to prove to the world and themselves that what they’ve got going is real. The build up is great and chemistry spot on. The sexy times are hot. Camden and Sutton have witty banter with some spice thrown in. The supporting cast adds another layer of charm. One Knight Stand is an excellent and yummy romance!
“What the hell did you do when one night wasn’t enough?”
I met Camden before along with Civil Corruption guys, and he was so sweet and adorable and a great and loyal friend for Tate (Defile). And I love this author’s heroes and heroines so dang much!
So it wasn’t possible for me to love even more, right? Wrong!!!
Camden and Suton’s story touched me so deeply, so beautifully, I was getting more and more in love with them, in love with heir love.
After a huge blow on Cam’s image for something he shouldn’t be ashamed of, he needs some damage control: a sweet girl-next-door to be his girlfriend so the world could think he’s been saved…and somehow, he has.
When Suton is chosen to be that girl, at first both of them thought this could never work. They seemed so different and they didn’t quite get along very well. But, as much as God, love works in mysterious ways.
“Every single day, I thank my lucky stars for agreeing to be Camden Knight’s fake girfriend, because it led to this”
What started off as fake, something for the vultures to back off from Cam, soon starts to get a another form, a loving form. Something beautiful and unique, made for the two of them.
“It’s real. I promise you that. It may have started off as pretend, but it’s very, very real now”
Suton has faced hell, and that changed her a lot, but, strong and resilient as she is, she could make it through and get the other way. Sure, she built a wall around her, but all it took was the right guy to make her trust and, for the first time, seek on protection and healing from someone else.
I loved how deep and meaningful this story was. I loved Cam’s preferences (and dear Lord, they were hot), I loved how patient he was, I loved how he was someone Suton could rely on, even if he made mistakes.
Their background molded them, the good and the bad. They were the incredible people they were for all of that. They were special and deserved each other so much.
I also loved how the secondary characters were important. The story was about the hero and the heroine, but they weren’t alone, and their friends and families were just as fundamental as they were.
Another thing that I loved, still on that train of thought, is that this book didn’t just solve and focus on their love. Sometimes, you read even a good book, but by the end, you have so many questions, you still wonder this or that, but you don’t have the answer. So many things go without closure.
But this time, we could se things getting into their right places, getting solved as only time, forgiveness and love can do. It wasnt a story about Suton and Camden only. It was a story of their surroundings as well. And, of course, their love and future.
“‘You’re amazing, Suton. You know what? I’m never letting you go’
‘Good. Because I don’t want you to'”
The only thing that bothered me a little was that the story from Suton’s point of view was written in first person. But when it came to Camden, it was written in third person.
I wished the whole book was written in first person, alternating from him to her. It would be even more powerful and personal for me if it was Camden himself teeling the story and everything he was feeling, suffering, struggling, loving.
He was so full of emotions that I wanted him to tell me about it.
That being sad, it wasn’t enough of a bother for me to drop a star in my review. I still give 5 (and even more) reviews.
Anyway, I’m in love with Camden, I’m in love with Suton, I’m in love with their story. It was powerful, sensitive, emotional and about rising from the pain and the blow.
And no matter their beginning, it was real.
“Cutie, this has been real since that kiss on your front porch. I’ve just been waiting for you to clue in”
Camden Knight is used to quick hookups with random women, he is a rock star after all and he knows the women interested in him only want one thing and its not getting to know him. He makes a mistake though with this last hookup and now his career is in jeopardy because of it. When his agent comes up with a plan to clean up his image he enters a fake dating arrangement with Sutton Briar, a woman who despises him and you could create ice cubes with just one look from her, not to mention she dresses like a bag lady.
Sutton can’t believe she has to be the fake girlfriend to Camden, she has avoided celebrities forever and now she has one on her arm. Her past though has kept walls erected around her to keep her safe, but as she gets to know Camden those walls come crumbling down and she finds herself falling for him instead. Can she trust Camden enough to give her heart to him or will he be another lesson learned in her life?
This was phenomenal, I laughed, cried, and swooned. Camden has a bit of a chip on his shoulder initially but when it comes to Sutton he is amazing once he sees her for who she is. One of the best I have read from this author so far.
This is another one that I absolutely loved from Jessica Prince. Anytime I finish a book with a happy sigh, I know its hit the spot. One Knight Stand was everything. I loved the characters Camden and Sutton. I won’t lie I thought Sutton was going to annoy me and she kinda did for a while, but I completely understood where her insecurities and hesitance came from. I think the author did a great job balancing the two and seeing Sutton grow from the things is her past that affected her relationship with Camden. Don’t even get me started on Camden. The man is sexy as hell with a kinky side. I liked how he took the time to truly get to know Sutton and seeing these two fall for each other was the best. Their fake relationship wasn’t fake for very long before the feelings kicked in.
One thing I didn’t like was the constant shift between third and first person POV.
The supporting characters were also great. I liked Sutton’s sister Sabrina, her husband Bran and their kids. Tate was cool as well and I loved Camden’s family. I will say the focus shifts in this book quite a bit. It starts off with a video of Camden getting rough with a one night stand during sex getting leaked and him needing to have a fake relationship to shift the focus off the video and how people perceive him. It becomes less about being seen publicly together to Camden really wanting to spent time with Sutton and get to know her because his feelings become real. Lastly, we deal with all the baggage of issues in Sutton’s past. Don’t get wrong I loved every minute of it, I sometimes don’t like when the story shifts from the main premise of what I’m expecting the story to be. I’m not complaining at all.
One Knight Stand was a winner for me. It has some emotional parts, its funny with lots of cute moments being our two MC’s, and its hotter than hot. I really loved this one.
