She ruined my life, got me thrown out of the pack. The only revenge I crave is her.TreyI never thought I’d have a girl like Sheridan. A pack princess—beautiful, smart, one of the elite. She picked me. She gave me her heart, her innocence. Hurting her was my biggest regret. But then she betrayed us all.Now she’s back—sent to spy on our pack. She wants revenge. But my wolf…he just wants her. … wants revenge.
But my wolf…he just wants her.
Sheridan
He crushed my heart and broke my trust. I ruined his life.
Now we have to work together, and it’s killing me.
I want to hate him. But more than that…I want his mark.
Alpha’s Bane is a stand-alone second-chance shifter romance. No cheating or cliff-hangers.
more
This is a second-chance romance between a non-alpha and an alpha’s daughter. I enjoyed the alpha personality but the fact that he was the son of one of the lowest pack members and for this reason him and the heroine had so many challenges to overcome – then and even now. It’s a sweet romance with plenty of heat that had a meaningful and enjoyable plot. I am excited for the next one to bring answers as well as be about a grizzly bear shifter.
A second chance shifter romance. Although Trey and Sheridan were mated in their hearts I didn’t get any real sense of chemistry between them.
This book has a bit of intrigue and suspense. No real mystery because you knew who was behind the human deaths. The whole vampire situation was kind of interesting. I could have done without it, but that is just because I am not a big vampire fan.
It was nice to get the background details on why Garrett and his pack ended up in Tucson. The “12 years ago” sequences provided good information , but the format took me out of the flow of the story.
Overall, it was an interesting book that I read from first to last page in one sitting. There is a bit of spanking and BDSM in the book, so if any of that offends you, steer clear. I honestly think you could probably skim through those parts and still enjoy the book. I do think you should read this book and judge for yourself.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy.
The latest book in this series.
I don’t know what it was about this book, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as the rest of the series. The story and the characters just didn’t hold my attention and it took me a few days to read the book. The constant going back and forward in the story didn’t help either. I couldn’t connected with Trey and Sheridan and their story.
I did like how Trey made Sheridan show her real self and not the picture perfect image of herself. And getting some more background into how Garrett’s pack made their own way.
Although just as good as the previous books in the series, this book had a different feel. It seemed to lack the raw intensity of the earlier books, but made up for it with the romance of second chances. The characters were very likeable and really well developed. The progression of the story as the authors moved from the teenage years to present day made the revelation of each character even better. I really hope these two like working together, because we need a lot more books from this series.
Bad Boy Alphas, Book 9. Can the princess and the fighter save anyone, even themselves?
Has it really been 16 years? Betrayed by their pack “princess,” Trey followed Garrett and the other young pups from Phoenix to Tucson. No one expected the Tucson pack to survive. But they’ve not only survived—they’ve thrived. When Trey sets up Fight Club, it certainly draws attention…the wrong kind. The entire pack’s now on the FBI and CIA’s radar. And now vampires have shown up? All this gets back to the Phoenix pack, where their Alpha (Garrett’s dad) sends Sheridan Green to investigate and shut down Fight Club. When Sheridan struts in decked out to the nines, no one’s more shocked than she when she finds Trey Robson—except Trey himself. You see, it wasn’t just Sheridan who betrayed Trey and the others. He also betrayed her. But Trey and Sheridan’s issues have to take a back seat when Lucius arrives. Bearing a treaty marking territory for wolves and vampires alike, can Lucius be trusted? Can any vampire? On the eve of the treaty signing, the worst that could happen does, putting Fight Club, the treaty, the entire future of the Tucson pack on the line. Who did this? Why? As Trey and Sheridan fight their chemistry and each other, they both know they have to find the answers. How? Each step puts both in more and more danger. As Sheridan’s life hangs in the balance, Trey realizes he has decisions to make. Should he save her? There’s far more than her life at stake. Suddenly everything comes into focus. Only, is it too late? Has Sheridan been sacrificed and everything lost?
Renee Rose and Lee Savino are the dynamic duo of shifter romances. They’re both incredibly talented authors on their own, but when you put them together, you have dynamite. I absolutely loved this story. While this is a standalone book in the series, we have met Trey and the rest of the Tucson pack before. This time Trey is front and center. We finally learn just who and what he is. A shifter, a fighter, capable, hot, sexy, and so much more. Is it any wonder Sheridan fights her attraction to him? And Sheridan? Strong, yet so conflicted on so many levels. Daddy’s little princess vies with the MBA overachiever and again with the chemistry with Trey. Her entire world’s been turned upside down. I love these two! But this book wouldn’t be complete without the cast of supporting characters. As I’ve stated before, I love vampires. Without Lucius and his minions, this story wouldn’t have worked. Add in the entirety of the Tucson and Phoenix packs, and you have the perfect blend of spicy and savory to complete the recipe. This book is fantastic! Renee Rose and Lee Savino have again hit it out of the park. Congratulations, ladies! This book absolutely deserves five stars!
A final note. This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don’t enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and Amazon. Please use these resources. I urge you to leave a review, but with a proviso. Please don’t leave a negative review when you know you won’t enjoy the book. It’s not fair to the authors. They work hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you’ll object to a book’s subject matter before you buy it, you’re doing yourself and the authors an extreme disservice.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
Alpha’s Bane is the ninth book in the Bad Boy Alphas series, but can completely stand alone. Sheridan and Trey were an unlikely high school couple, she a pack princess and he with a low ranking family, but they were torn apart by their own hurtful actions. Years later, Sheridan has come to infiltrate Trey’s Fight Club, to understand why there’s vampires around, and to maybe even find closure with Trey. But she has a tendency to get into dangerous situations and soon she has a vampire lusting after her, and her only savior is Trey, who still hates her. Except his wolf doesn’t. Will Fight Club offer a second chance for Sheridan and Trey, or will they get in each other’s ways again?
Wow! I swear, this series is just amazing and keeps getting better and better. I loved Trey and Sheridan! I loved how much they sacrificed for each other and how much they wanted to fight for one another in the end. Most of the chapters start off with a flashback to their high school years, which I loved, and they had an explosive beginning and an even stronger right now. Sheridan was feisty, but honestly still trying to figure out who she was on the inside. I loved that she was an all alpha female, able to stand on her own and defend herself, talk with head vampires and was totally cool with working the bar, but also had a really vulnerable side of just wanting to be loved and accepted. Trey was full of sacrifice and anger, but really came into his own being and knew what he wanted, even if he was fighting against it. I loved how even when he didn’t quite trust her, he only wanted to protect and love Sheridan! I loved the vampires and the direction that all took in this story and once I started this book, it was really difficult to put down to go about my day when needed! This has just been an amazing book and series by two phenomenal authors!
Second chance for love.
This is another great collaboration between these two wonderful authors. It is a second chance for love story. Trey hurt Sheridan in the past and they still had obstacles to overcome if they want to be together. This is a fast-paced, page turner with wonderful characters.
Received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review…..
Love a strong, alpha H…love a strong, alpha h, Trey and Sheridan are perfect for each other, if they can just resolve the issues from their past. Renee Rose and Lee Savino are a fantastic writing duo and this is a great addition to their repertoire. Trey and Sheridan are well written, compelling characters, the book moves quickly with some great twists. Loved it. I hope we learn more about Grizz, I kinda love him
Super-Hot Second Chance Delight by this Author Duo!!
Sheridan is a pack princess. Trey is from “the wrong side of the tracks”. High School sweethearts; when Trey breaks her heart, she finds her own revenge. Trey is banned from the pack for four years, but chooses to stay away longer; as do many of the younger wolves. Twelve years later Sheridan is investigating the club Trey owns. Sparks definitely fly here.
Trey storms towards me, thunder in his expression and lightning in his eyes. He’s filled out since high school. Now he’s massive as a mountain and beautiful as a god, and every molecule within me quivers as he closes in.
Beautifully written, we switch from today to twelve years ago learning the nuances of these captivating characters.
Sheridan is in my head – surrounds me, my thoughts swirling an endless loop of worry around her. And then it hits me why. It’s October 25th. The anniversary of her brother’s death. My mate is suffering. I slam off the water and grab a towel. I don’t give a “crap” what went down between us. I don’t care if a future’s impossible. If Sheridan needs me, it would take every pack on Earth to keep me away.
Scintillating romance, pack politics, danger from vampires and everything that makes a story a must-read!!
*** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book ***
I absolutely loved this one it gave us a lot of insight to all the whys and questions being answered. Trey the forbidden and Sheridan the pack princess have gone through 12 years of agony only to meet again with the flames still HOT!!! and I adored Sheridan the strength this she wolf has and courage exspecially to stand up to the Vampires which I found fascinating and fight for what she believes in was amazing, also the past and present and I was routing for them so hard they were so made for each other in every single way the bond always being there. I think this was my favorite the characters and writing was so good I couldn’t put it down.
I really enjoyed this book! There was a lot of angst and so much heat between Sheridan and Trey! Great read!
Sheridan and Trey’s story is one of threats , lies, betrayals, angst, murder, blackmail, danger, vampires, controlling parents, tested and compromised loyalties, lust, chemistry and ultimately love. The years of seperation have not dulled the mating call. Can they move on from the pain of the past and have a future together?
Renee Rose and Lee Savino have outdone themselves with this one! In my opinion, this is the best “Bad Boy Alphas” book to date! Since this is a second chance romance for Trey and Sheridan, the storyline takes you from present day circumstances to remembrances of their first relationship, filling in the blanks of what preceded, tying together all the lose ends so the reader feels like they’ve walked through every bit of their lives with them. The characters are so relatable with their fears, insecurities, growing pains, determination and love it leaves you with no doubt as you go through their emotional rollercoaster with them. Congratulations ladies on a book well written and thoroughly enjoyable. One that I’d be honored to highly recommend.
I really do love this dynamic duo! They just write fun and sexy PNR. Sheridan and Trey have a lot of history and drama between them. Their story is told through a series of flashbacks that really helped you understand their history. In the end I really enjoyed Sheridan standing up to her dad to be with Trey. This book is full of angst, drama, pack politics and add vampires and their drama to the mix. I can’t wait to see what these authors have in store for us next!
AWESOME!
This series is the best!!!
Action packed, intriguing and sexy as hell! It really doesnt get better!!
A second chance romance with 2 amazing characters! The chemistry between them is sizzling and hasnt cooled even after 12 years!
MUST READ!
Can’t wait for the tale of Grizz!!
Overcoming the past…
All through out this series we have been aware of the fact that this “pack” was formed after they were kicked out of their old one. In this story we find out what/who led to that happening. While the “pack” has overcome the past and become successful, Trey still has issues with the past….that issue is named Sheridan and she has just come to town. Can these two put the past behind them and look to the future or will the past repeat itself? Then there are the vamps….what are they truly up to and how will it affect the “pack”? I really love this series and can’t wait to see what happens next.
*I received an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*
Extraordinary, EASY, erotic, and full of suspense, this wolf-tale is a Phenomenal MUST-READ!
Ya know the old saying: ‘The last___ (one of whatever is being compared) is always the BEST!’ has proven true with EVERY book read in the Rose/Savino Alpha Shifter series. “ALPHA’S BANE,” the latest novel offered in the series, is no exception to that rule as it is sincerely the BEST, IMHO, of course. Not only did it answer a number of questions that have long plagued this reader, questions about some of the specific details concerning the two shifter packs that provided the characters for these wonderful paranormal novels, “ALPHA’S BANE” also told the most remarkable, second chance/coming of age romance. The use of dual narration, character angst, dialogue, and action enable readers to get to know the characters, both main and secondary, within a short span of chapters, charming this reader and drawing her totally in love with Sheridan and Trey. Speaking of characters, let it be known that while writing individually Savino and Rose both create the most realistic characters having to deal with the most unusual and most of the time life-threatening dangers imaginable, what they do individually is then magnified and refined into sheer greatness when they write as a team. With “ALPHA’S BANE,” the usually erotic explosion begins with a slow burn with intermittent flaming flashbacks, and then gives readers the most sensuous BDSM scenes ever! So, if you like some suspense added to this steamy delight, then “ALPHA’S BANE” is the romance to buy! I voluntarily read an ARC copy of “ALPHA’S BANE” and this is my honest review – I wish I could award more stars because “ALPHA’S BANE” earned them! Purchase your copy of “ALPHA’S BANE” TODAY! Happy pages!
I enjoyed this very good read. This shifter romance offers readers plenty of angst and emotion as Trey and Sheridan are reunited and have to try to deal with the baggage of their past romance when they were teenagers. I liked both these characters and I loved the chemistry and connection they had. I felt that they had both made mistakes and although Sheridan’s mistake was much bigger and caused life altering damage, I still felt bad for her. I mean honestly, take teenage girl heartbreak, overbearing Dad and her place as pack princess and it’s not really to shocking that she did something so short sighted. Trey though was not faultless. Even though what he did came from wanting what he thought was best for her and his own insecurities and low self esteem. Again, somewhat typical of teenagers. I liked that good did come out of what happened. Both these characters really grew and learned more about themselves. This second chance romance offers lots of drama, emotion and steam.
Exciting romance with a fiery heroine and her deliciously dominant mate!
First off, for fans of the series, we finally get the whole backstory into why Garrett’s pack split from his father’s pack years ago. That itself is enough to buy and devour this book. But how all that came about stems from the young romance between pack princess Sheridan and her wrong-side-of-the-tracks boyfriend, Trey. To say pack politics kept them apart would be an understatement, but their own pride and stubbornness played a part as well.
In the present day, Sheridan, representing the Phoenix pack, drops in unannounced at Trey’s Fight Club in Tucson. She’s there to find out what Garrett’s pack has been up to, but soon finds that a growing threat from the area’s vampire nest is a much more pressing concern. The direction this takes is completely unexpected, and the scenes at Toxic were off-the-charts HOT!
The authors interspersed the past with the present, and though it was a little confusing that the sections detailing the past were told out of chronological order, it all worked cohesively together to tease out all the pertinent details in due time. The personal growth of both main characters was clearly demonstrated in how, in the present, they dealt with the prejudices and misunderstandings of the past. Their devotion to each other was so beautifully demonstrated that it was a relief to all when they finally stopped hiding from the truth.
The HEA was triumphant and heartwarming, though I would have preferred a bit more of an epilogue. Still, the story is non-stop excitement with wonderful shifter characters and truly villainous leeches. It’s a perfect standalone romance that also gives a lot of insight into the characters and pack politics from the earlier books. I don’t know if this is the last book in the series, but the authors didn’t leave any loose ends or hints at future storylines. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
