Fate? Or, a Christmas Miracle?A woman, unconscious and buried in the snow. A man, alone, but not lonely. They never should have met. How could they know their lives were about to change forever?Olivia Shore was in distress. But she was no damsel looking for a knight in shining armor. However, the moment she foolishly left the safety of her wrecked car and walked into a raging snowstorm, she knew … into a raging snowstorm, she knew she would need more than luck to survive.
The first time she looked into Trey Stanton’s silver-blue eyes, she wondered if he was the devil. She quickly realized he was a good man. A man with secrets. Why else would he bury himself away in a secluded cabin in the woods?
Trey was at a crossroads in his life the day he found Olivia. From the moment he carried her back to his home, she became important to him. The piece of his life he hadn’t realized was missing.
Cut off from the outside world, they shared their hopes, their dreams. They confessed their fears and their deepest secrets. But the one thing they couldn’t confess were their feelings.

Mary J. Williams writes stories and series that are sassy, swoon worthy and heartfelt from page one to the end. I have enjoyed the Sister’s Quartet series and was excited for Trey’s story.
Trey and Olivia are such a fun couple MD fate has them in the right place at the right time. Olivia is finally starting to gain her Independence from her aunt and gets lost in a snow storm. Trey and his dog Carmichael find Olivia in the snow and one glance/touch and Trey knew that his life would be changed forever. This is a sweet adorkable couple.
Trey and Olivia’s story was short but sweet! Trey has been a loner for many years, after what his father put him through… and he likes it that way. Olivia has been under the thumb of her controlling aunt for too long… she’s had enough! But when Olivia is stranded in a snowstorm and is found by Trey, things change for both of them. The story moves quickly, it’s more of a novella. However, I still give it 5 stars! I really wish it were longer because I enjoyed their story! This is a must read!
Fate. You’re out and about when it begins to snow because you’re angry. An accident. You try to hike out. Disaster.
Fate. You’re born to a man with no scruples, and a weak woman. You leave that life and remake yourself. You’re at the right place at the right time. Miracle.
This book ‘ties up some loose ends’ from the Benedict Sisters Quartet books. Ingo Hunter was romancing the sisters mom. What no one knew for a long time was, he had a son. We finally get to meet Trey Stanton, Ingo’s son, in book 4 of this series. This is Trey’s book.
Trey is now a forest ranger. Taking his dog out for a romp in the snow before they hunker down and stay indoors for the next few days, he discovers Olivia close to death after she gets lost in the storm after wrecking her car. Once Olivia begins to recover, the sparks begin.
Since this is a novella, the story moves along quickly. Such a sweet story and the ability to reconnect with the Benedict sisters towards the end of the book was perfect.
Once again, this talented author enchants us with her writing. This time she adds the spirit of Christmas and the chance to have hope, and find love. That happens when Trey Stranton comes into Olivia Shore’s life and rescues her when she crashes her car and decides to walk in a snowstorm.
Isolated from the rest of the world, these two open their minds , acknowledge their fears , secrets and hopes. Can two strangers find their soulmate in unexpected places? Will the magic of Christmas help them find their HEA?
Another story that will stay in your hearts and your minds for a long time to come.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
What a wonderful short read! I loved reading Trey and Olivia’s story. When I first read about Trey, I hoped that Ms. Williams would write his story, and I’m glad she did. I finished it in one sitting, I had a hard time putting it down.
This was an awesome read to start of the holidays. I love every minture of getting to know Trey and Olivia. They were really great together.
Five More Minutes by Mary J. Williams is a very sweet holiday read. It is very well written the characters are very realistic. It is about finding yourself and what you want out of your life. It is a Novella so it is a very quick and fast paced book. I wish it kept on going it was that good. Definitely a must read book.
Five More Minutes is a wonderful holiday read! It was so fun getting to know Trey as the Park Ranger but also the young man he was before the series of events which allowed him to change the track his life was on and the new life he found through his new brother and family.
Every Christmas I wish for a laid back, non-commercialized Christmas, focusing on snow, happy people, laughter and love. I found all this and more as Olivia and Trey were thrown together in that remote forest cabin for their unexpected Christmas encounter. Ms. Williams is a talented story teller who allows you a unique perspective as if you were right there in the cabin cuddled next to the fire and I felt as if I could feel the chill of the snow as Trey and Olivia are frolicking in the fresh snow which is falling all around.
A perfect start to the holiday season!
A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. So glad Trey got his story and the addition of Olivia was great. Both had to find themselves in this story and did a great job of being realistic characters. The Benedict sisters pulled Trey into their lives with good wills to all. A series you want to read but all can be read as a standalone and easy to follow.
