After setting up shop with her best friend, Babbs McGhee, in the very coveted area of Buckhead Luxe, witch and up-and-coming fashion mogul Ginni Black thinks her troubles are behind her. She’s opening a new store, her relationship with her werewolf boyfriend, Nicco, is better than ever, and her judgmental warlock father is finally starting to … starting to give her some credit.
But when her friend and silent business partner ends up dead and Nicco is fingered for the crime, it’s back at it when Ginni and Babbs are forced to dive deeper into werewolf country than any smart witch should ever go.
Buckle up for the second installment of the most fashion-forward witch mystery anyone has ever seen.

“Magic & Mini Skirts” earns 5/5 Mini Skirts…Fashionably Fun!
Witches…Werewolves…and Fashion, oh, my! I enjoy having witches in my cozy mysteries, but werewolves are a new element. However, Beverly Sanders put it all together in an entertaining fashion. Starting with the second book did not put me at a disadvantage since there were enough references to past events (no spoilers) and character connections keeping me engaged. Ginni Black and BFF Babs McGhee have set themselves up in the popular shopping area of Atlanta opening up a small store to highlight Ginni’s fashionable designs. But, their excitement is gravely interrupted by the dead body of their silent partner and evidence seemingly and irrefutably implicating Ginni’s boyfriend Nicco.
I enjoyed and highly recommend Beverly Sander’s “Magic & Mini Skirts” book. The clever and very engaging mystery follows the traditional cozy formula, but including witches and magical creatures and their community made it different and well worth going back to book one to get better clarity of the events mentioned. I was fascinated by the lore Beverly presented for the magical world, the barrier between the two worlds, Lycans, and connection between a witch and a mere mortal. Ginni broke the typical mold in that she may be a witch, born and bred, she wants more than magic to define her life. That was a refreshing take. She is creative and fashion is her thing…but so is investigating murder. Great first-person narrative shares Ginni’s perspective, vivid descriptions, and inner thoughts enriched with fun banter and endearing characters. Thumbs up…or should I say sewing needles!
They thought they have put all their troubles behind when they opened their shop. It will not stay that way when their is a death behind their shop. She is framed for the murder. She will need to enter werewolf country to try to find the truth. Will she do it? See if she can

More magical fun. This time we learn more about Nicco and his werewolf heritage. It was quite the fur bristling experience delving into the wolfish lore, history, and world. I can’t wait to learn more about this enchanting world. I received a free copy of this book from the author for an honest review. The opinions are all mine.
The second book in the Designer Witch Mystery series and this one had me stumped until the end usually I can guess. Witches, warlocks, and werewolves, murder a book I enjoyed reading. I hope the next one in the series is out soon. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Nicco is really an amazing beau. Unfortunately Ginni just cannot seem to get it through her witchly head that imprinting really is a love connection that is real and enduring. But maybe she is finally starting to admit to falling in love with him.
She finally gets a shot at displaying her fashion designs in a pop up store, but a co-investor in the stores seems to have more interest in putting all the ladies down than he does in promoting fashion – or even making money.
There is something weird about his insistence on fountains though, right?
Helpful Nicco ends up in hot water when her patron ends up dead.
Supernatural and romantic/ friendship mayhem ensue in a more fun than truly scary murder mystery.

Witches, warlocks, and werewolves. Oh my. and then some. I love a good cozy with paranormal elements. This is a fun one with crazy fun girls and hot boyfriends. And murder of course. This story made me smile and I remembered earlier wilder days of fun and friends. Girlfriends are very important and as you grow older, even more important. This story will entertain you.

Ginni Black and her best friend Baba get the opportunity of a lifetime to set up a shop in the coveted area of Buckhead Luxe, however, when they arrive to meet the store owner they find her dead. What is more shocking is a security camera picks up Ginni’s boyfriend Nicco fleeing the scene just before the body is discovered.
Ginni can’t believe her eyes! Could Nicco have killed someone in a werewolf rage? And where has he run off to? It is now up to Ginni and Baba to go into werewolf territory to find the answers. Can Ginni (who is beginning to second guess Nicco’s innocence) prove that there is someone else behind the mysterious murder and odd werewolf connect?
This is the second book in the new Designer Witch Mystery series. It is filled with high fashion, wit, paranormal beings, mystery, intrigue, and madcap hijinks. You will fall in love and be entertained by the characters and face-paced adventure.
