Unappreciated. Lonely. Betrayed.Shelby Sanders’ life had never been much to brag about, with an alcoholic mother, a rusty old trailer, and not a hope in the world to change any of it for something better. That’s why she left. That’s how she ended up at the Last Resort Motel. And that’s how she found herself on the set of one of TVs hottest paranormal investigation shows.Garrett is the host of … shows.
Garrett is the host of Paranormal 911. He’s hot, broody, and as protective as he is standoffish. He invited her along to that ghost town with a cocky smile and a kiss that made her heart stutter. But neither of them ever dreamed that something would follow them home. Something evil. Something neither of them can see.
Now Shelby’s in real danger, and Garret can only pray he knows how to save her before she ends up dead. Or worse.

Shelby has had enough of her mom, so she decides to leave. Hitchhiking until she’s left on the road until a van with a tv crew stops and offers her a ride on their destination of a ghost town where the cult had a mass suicide. Things get interesting when they get there. By the end, I wanted to see more of Shelby and the crew.
This is book 10 in The Last Resort Motel series. I loved this novella with the steamy chemistry between Shelby and Garret. The paranormal elements were intriguing and entertaining, and the ghostly appearances kept me engaged. This was a lively, sexy read!
This book was spooky, with some heat and very enjoyable characters. Really liked Shelby and Garret as a couple. Love when a heroine is strong and independent and that’s what Shelby is, not overly dramatic when thrown to the unknown but still feminine and real. Garret was still a little of a mystery, but showed character, protectiveness and was a complete gentleman. Markus brought the fun to the group and Tim and V were interesting and added some good scenes to the story. Overall super interesting, had me biting my nails but I wish it was a little longer. Would love to see the relationship evolve and the others are interesting enough that I would read their stories.
I enjoyed this spooky novella . Although I wanted Shelby and Garrett’s story to never end . The start of the story pulled me in , I felt for Shelby and her horrible home life.
I did want it to be a little more scary when the ghost hunting started , but This author makes you feel her characters emotions .Which place you right there in the story with them .That’s one thing I love , connecting with the characters within the stories I read .
Spooky goings on in this fantastic paranormal romance short story by Geri Glenn. For me Geri is more well known for the MC romance being a lover of the Kings of Korruption series but boy oh boy does she cross genres well!
I am a huge fan of the TV show Supernatural and if that is the case for yourself then this tale will be right up your alley. A budding romance blooms between Shelby and Garrett. Shelby has had enough of dealing with her neglectful and selfish mother, she sets out to start her new life and falls into the path of Garrett and his team when they are on their way to film a deserted town known for its unexpected happenings.
If you like your romance with a side of spine tingling, goosebumps raising ghosties then this book will satisfy your taste buds. Suspense and mystery abound this is a monster mash must read just in time for Hallowe’en!
I have to admit, I did find this slightly humorous, but I also have a very weird sense of humor. I am a fan or horror and paranormal, so this book was right up my alley. Geri Glenn writing amazing stories, and even this is not in her normal wheel house, the book freaking rocked!
Shelby hasn’t had it good. Her mom, WOW! Throat punch feeling alert ahead when you read about this wench. But none of that stop Shelby. She decided that it is time to pickup and head out, because she only has herself that she can depend on. And her move lands her directly into lap of TV’s latest paranormal show and Garrett.
Garrett and Shelby hit it off from the start, but obligations and another chick with a wish for a throat punch start to stand in the way. Then the paranormal starts and it takes off from there. Feelings start to develop, dangers shows its form and is raring to go, but love always conqueror’s the day!
A cute a quick read that I enjoyed from the beginning to the end. I think ROOM 666 will be enjoyed by a wide range of readers, so don’t be worried about it being paranormal. It is part of the story, but not the basis of it. Take a chance and enjoy a story that will put a smile on your face!
Such a great read! I couldn’t put it down and had to finish it in one night. The chemistry between Garrett and Shelby jumps off the page and the paranormal story is blended seamlessly into the romantic one.
Fun Exciting and Intriguing. That is how I would describe this wonderful novella by Geri Glenn. This series of novellas, based on various rooms at the Last Resort Motel, just keeps keeping better and better. Ms. Glenn has written a storyline that is just perfect for the October addition. It’s very well written, will keep you on your toes and the intensity will keep you glued to the pages. As for the characters, they are well defined and all have an exciting part in the storyline, even the secondary characters. You’ll come away feeling a part of the group by the time you hit the ending.
I say this is perfect for October because we have the crew of a Ghost Hunters Show filming about a lost city not too far from the Last Resort Motel. On their way to the hotel they pick up a hitchhiker, Shelby, who is a young woman running from her old life and looking for an adventure as well as a new start. BOY of BOY does she find the adventure as the crew takes her along on their Ghost Hunt. I don’t do spoilers so I won’t go any further. I will simply say that this is one exciting trip that you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend grabbing this one up, you won’t be sorry you did. 2 Thumbs Up for this thrilling 5 star read.
Shelby had had enough. Her mother was a drunk and a drug addict. She kept bringing skeevy, sleazy men back to the trailer for her trade. Shelby had struggled for years to pay the bills and keep herself and her mother safe, but no more. Her mother had taken the one item that Shelby treasured, and pawned it for money. Shelby didn’t know if it was for drugs, drinks, or a loser, but Shelby had had enough!
Gathering up her few meager belongings, Shelby leaves the trailer that she has called home for 22 years. Hitching a ride with a trucker, Shelby leaves her past behind, heading hopefully into a better future. But she doesn’t get far before she’s dumped beside the road because she refuses to sexually satisfy the trucker.
Seemingly, luck is with Shelby, as a van appears after several hours and offers her a ride. Shelby is astonished to realize the occupants of the van are none other than the TV crew of “Paranormal 911”, who go from site to site trying to capture ghostly activity. Shelby is invited to join them until Saturday, when the crew is heading to Las Vegas. They are going to a place called Saddler’s Gap; a ghost town that was the site of a horrific cult mass suicide, instigated by the cult leader Malcom Santino. The Paranormal 911 crew are hoping to discover compelling evidence of ghosts. What they discover will turn their world, and their perception of it, completely inside out.
Wow, what a ride! My imagination was set on fire with the imagery evoked by Ms. Glen’s tale. Well-developed characters and complex scenarios, I felt like I could “see” what Shelby saw, experience her emotions of revulsion, terror and attraction. Very well written, with startling twists and turns. I enjoyed every sentence!
This novella might be a quick read but in a short space of time it will give you a story that will fill you full of intrigue, suspense and so much angst. The Last Resort Motel is a romance with a side of paranormal. It will have you not only feeling the chemistry building between Shelby and Garrett but it will have your heart racing from the evil lurking in the shadows. A book that held my attention and had me on the edge of my seat biting my nails right to the very end.
