This second chance romance had a good storyline with well rounded characters that grabbed my attention from the very first page and wouldn’t let me go until the turn of the very last page!
What are the odds that Rachel and Matt would ever run into each other after they left that community center as teenagers. Welp that’s just what happened! In this second book following Lily’s company Quality and the girls we get a whole story about the talented architect Rachel. I absolutely loved this because you get to follow Rachel, who in the first book isn’t necessarily seen as such a great person especially by Michael. Furthermore, you began to see the whole group blossom into an even better family! I can’t wait for the next story on their other partner miriam!
Loving this series so far. The company cares about the community and people and they try to help the people. This series has mystery and intrigue great characters . I’m glad that Rachel got her hea looking forward to the next installment.
Love by Design is the second book in the Women of Quality series and you will not put it down. Architects, swindlers, kidnappers Oh my! this book will keep you on your toes. This is truly the story of two people who have never known real live even from their families. Even though they are broken and unloved they both have always tried to do the right thing and make the world a better place. Strong characters really makes this book one of my favorites by Dean Hodel. His strong independent women will endear themselves to your heart. His male characters while they are alpha to the core fall hard once they meet the woman of their dreams. This is a real second chance at love book featuring the geeky smart genius and the girl who dreamed of buildings and architecture who knew of each other in high school but then went their separate ways. When fate brings them back together they have many obstacles in their way including kidnappers and a murderer. Matt must keep Rachel safe safe at all costs even if he loses her in the process. You will enjoy how this story twists and turns before the main characters get their HEA. .
Loved this book, Strong characters, the win against the bad guy is always a plus.
But Rachel became a stronger person after what she had gone thru in book one of this series and it wove perfectly into her story with Matt perfectly. This book is a winner. I’m looking to reading the next book in the Women of Quality Series.
Rachel and Matt’s story is steeped in business espionage and intrigue. The mysteries reached out and grabbed my attention. Looking forward to the rest of the series!
She is trying to prove she is more than a pretty face while leaving love in the past. He is to be her help but there is more to the project than they first know. Someone is trying to ruin all the plans. Why? What is being hidden from them? Will they call for each other? See what will happen

The story is good and has potential to be better. It is short and sweet but the focus seemed to be off. I like second chance romances and feel this was good but not great. The characters are easy to like but at times the story seemed unfocused

Rachel Pryce went to high school with genius Matt Harris. They meet up again 20 years later when Rachel is the architect on a community center design in their old neighborhood through a grant company called Re-up. Matt has agreed to be the intermediary to support the interest of the neighborhood. Something is not right with deal when people in the neighborhood abruptly pack up and leave without talking to anyone. Rachel and Matt work together to prove that Re-up is a mafia style company that will do anything for their own agenda.
The second book in the series, it is now Rachel’s time to show her friends and partners that she can redeem herself, even if they woudl never demand it of her.
When Rachel gets the grant for a large project to rebuild the community center she frequented as a child, she reconnects with the old neighborhood, but also finds a lot of mistrust, because someone is buying up properties and enforces the selling.
Finding love at the same timewas something she had not counted on and for a while does not know how to handle.
Like the other two the book is an interesting blend of romance and mystery – not enough to call it suspense, but still highly entertaining.
