At twenty-four, Teddy should be used to feeling abandoned and unwanted. After all, he’s been dealing with it most of his life. But a recent breakup takes him completely by surprise and now he’s on his own again. Nursing new and old hurts, he leans on his makeshift family and finds solace in a growing and unexpected friendship with an older man. Forty-two-year-old Barrett has successfully ignored … successfully ignored his biggest need for years. His last boy left him questioning everything he knew, and he is determined to lead a vanilla life, no matter how much his friends try to convince him to be true to himself. When he learns his favorite barista needs a new place to stay, he offers a solution that leads to spending more time with the younger man.
A change in circumstances brings both men together and their buried feelings to light. Teddy knows he’s attracted to Barrett but isn’t sure if he’s ready to risk his heart again, and Barrett is losing the struggle against his dominant nature. Will learning Barrett’s sexy secret be too much for Teddy, or is it just the thing he never knew he needed?

I love the way that Barrett is there just as Teddy really needs him and how they fit together. I really appreciate the way they build up their relation. Barrett’s need for truth really works in a way to make things come out right for both of them. I listened to the audio version which was well done and enjoyable.

Oh My, indeed!! Such a beautiful story!
I loved Teddy and Bear! They are so perfect for each other and mesh so well together. I love Barrett’s protective and caring nature and his care for his baby boy is just beautiful. I love the nurture in this relationship, yet there is still a great balance.
Teddy grows so much in this story and his abandonment issues are approached really well. I love that Teddy was able to find his kink. Bear is such a bold character, the perfect daddy. I love the family they have created and thought this daddy/boy relationship was hot, caring and flew off the page. I loved it!
The side characters in this story are fantastic! I loved Dom Tony and submissive but buff Jason, adorably awkward and walk hurricane that is Dylan!. I look forward to Leo and Dylan’s story and really hope we get to see Tony and Jason’s stories too, there’s definitely more there!
Brilliantly narrated. Highly recommended daddy kink romance!!!

Teddy and His Bear is the first book in the Oh My! Series by Andi James and lila Wilde. This is a sweet and wonderful slow-burn mm romance with an age gap and a Daddy/boy kink.
Teddy is an adorable boy who I couldnt help but fall in love with. From the start, I wanted to give him a big hug. Barrett is one hot and loving Daddy. I loved him. Their chemistry together is amazing. The story is cute and sweet, with emotion. Definitely worth reading.
This was so sweet and fluffy. It was the perfect feel good story.
The beginning of the story was actually such a surprise to me. It was so unexpectedly emotional. I felt Teddy’s pain a hurt throughout the chapter. Thankfully, Bear sees how lost Teddy is and offers him support and friendship. Their romance was such a slow burn, I loved it! They didn’t rush into anything and took their time. It felt very natural.
I read this in one sitting and I can’t recommend it enough!
I liked this book, but I didn’t love it. I don’t know if the Daddy kink just isn’t my thing or if the fact that Teddy started out the book like a man (with confidence issues, sure, but a grown up) and then reverted to talking / acting like a 7 year around his Bear all the damn wasn’t my thing- but this book wasn’t my favorite. That said, Leo and his Lion, the second book in this series, was super sweet, so I am very eager to read more about Tony in book 3!
This is an easy, light, enjoyable read. There is some angst in the beginning but the second half of the book is sugary sweet. This book has daddy/boy kink (no age play) and is a may/December romance. There is some setup for the books to come in the series which is typical of a first book in a series but it doesn’t detract from the storyline. It also contains a happily ever after.
One announcement and the world under Teddy’s feet has dropped. Feeling sad and alone, abandoned, he finds comfort in friends and work. There’s one other bright spot, though, and that’s the handsome older man that frequents the coffee shop where he works. Barrett has a crush on Teddy too, but with his damaged heart and their age gap, not to mention his suppressed desires, he can’t see a future where they’re together the way he truly wants. With the help of an accident-prone co-worker Teddy gets a glimpse of what a future might look like with the older man who’s captured his attention and maybe a piece of his heart. If they can get past their pasts and accept one another for everything they are and enjoy they just might have a chance at forever.
Right from the outset I was moved by Teddy’s pain. His ache became an echoing ache in my own heart. Partly because of things I’m going through but also because the writing was simple, clear, and good enough to convey the depth of what he felt. His evolution felt natural and organic, to a point. I think the new relationship dynamic he found with Barrett suited him to a T though I did feel he became a bit more naive than merely endearingly innocent toward the end. The way he could be sappy and scattered and yet perfect for Barrett’s yearnings made up for that though.
Barrett was an interesting character. There’s a lot about him to love and to root for. I will say, though, that he was endearing up to a point. The way he complemented Teddy and how they fit just right for one another’s desires was a little too simplistic. Not that simple isn’t good, it was just so nice that it felt a bit more sappy than deep.
The burn was very slow to start in this story but it was very much appreciated. It made their evolution all the more believable and created a great foundation to build on. Teddy and Barrett fit together very nicely, share a lot of passion, and have a seriously happy future ahead for them. With a great cast to encourage and support them they were able to overcome their individual difficulties to find a solid partnership in one another. I’m actually looking forward to reading the other couples’ stories as well. There’s definitely going to be some interesting roads they’ll have to travel to earn their HEAs.
