Fall in love this holiday season with this heartwarming story about finding romance, the magic of Christmas, and the importance of family… Children’s bookstore owner Addie Mayberry believes in the magic of Christmas. Or at least, she used to. So when a young customer needs some seasonal optimism, Addie sets out to give the vulnerable, heartbroken little girl the best Christmas ever. Which … Christmas ever. He wasn’t exactly winning dad-of-the-year awards before, so he’s determined to make it up to Bella. And with Addie’s help, he’s slowly repairing his relationship with his daughter. The last thing he wants is to fall in love, since that road only leads to pain, but he can’t stop thinking about Addie. Not only is she gorgeous, sweet, and great with Bella, she fills something in him he never knew was missing. But Addie wants forever, which is more than Drew can offer…

Incredible Christmas Miracle book by Victoria James. The story of Dr, Drew Barrett, single father to adorable Bella – struggling to come to grips with being an absentee father for the first 6 years of his daughters life. Especially after his ex – wife decided she no longer wanted to be a mother to the little girl, and Addie a book store owner – who has her own demons of being bullied and feeling inadequate.
The story that progresses between the two of them is honest, romantic and uplifting Christmas story that brought tears to my eyes on a occasion. Kudos to Victoria James on such an excellent book.
This was an okay read. This was a sweet, quick read, with holiday cheer thrown in. I gave it 4 stars instead of 3 because the writing itself was good. It flowed well, but I would have liked a little more to the story. Drew and Addie don’t even kiss until like 90% of the book. A relationship doesn’t have to start at page 1, but I would have liked a little more to this one. I was expecting some drama from Drew’s ex, but that didn’t happen. There really isn’t a lot of drama to this one either, just Addie’s self esteem issues. I’ve enjoyed these 2 sister’s books, and can’t wait to find out what happens with the 3rd sister.

This was such an adorable story. I totally fell in love with Isabella (Bella) Drew’s little girl. She was so wise beyond her years. Drew and Addie were wonderful as well. Drew had a few hang-up but his former wife cheated on him and left him. Both were successful and basically ignored their daughter in a quest for their careers. He being a highly respectable and competent surgeon. He believed he was sacrificing his family life to save others. It is only after Bella comes to live with him full-time does he really see that he was truly hurting his little girl. Addie on the other hand is perfect. She has a few self-esteem issues stemming from high school and her Mom. She is someone that is beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.
Drew’s and Addie’s journey is a great story to read. I was immediately enthralled by the story and how it all unfolded. It played out like watching a Hallmark Movie. The plot was so well done that I was sorry that it ended!
This book was written in my favorite dual POV format. It was very helpful especially when reading Drew’s POV to understand why he did and said some things.
I highly recommend this story to anyone. It is so adorable you won’t want to miss it.
Addie Mayberry left her job as a head librarian to open a children’s bookstore and she’s turned it into something magical. When 8-year old Bella Barrett wanders into the store, she and Addie develop an immediate bond. Her father, Drew Barrett, a highly successful surgeon, recently relocated to Shadow Creek, returning to his hometown to try and salvage his daughter’s childhood, which had been devoid of any meaningful parental attention. His marriage ended miserably with his ex-wife not even wanting shared custody of their child.
Don’t be fooled by the light-hearted cover as this story is steeped in serious issues. Drew’s neglect of his daughter was real and he’s working hard to turnaround that relationship. Addie had an extremely difficult childhood, the subject of cruel bullying for years and the target of a hypercritical and insensitive mother. That damage left indelible scars to her self esteem but not to her wonderful spirit. Her relationship with Bella is just heartwarming and goes a long way in guiding Drew’s sincere intentions in the right direction. Of course, it was inevitable that they’d be drawn to each other but theirs was an uneasy road.
I really loved this story as it dealt with some very tough issues not easily resolved. Bella was adorable and I liked how her innocence provided Drew a light towards a path to forgive himself and Addie a sense of self worth. Every story in this series deals with meaty issues and this was no different. I didn’t want this one to end.

When Drew’s ex-wife tells him she doesn’t want to have joint custody of their daughter, Bella, anymore, he moves back to his childhood home. He’s making Bella his number one priority. When Drew first meets Addie, he’s attracted to her, but he doesn’t have time for any other females. No spoilers, so grab your copy and see what happens. Victoria James I really hope there will be more books in this series. We have several people that need their stories told. Finn, Melody, Faith hint, hint.

By this point it’d be pointless to deny it: I’m a sucker for a single dad romance, and A Christmas Miracle for the Doctor had all the right ingredients.
Drew went back home when he got full custody of his little girl. His schedule as a surgeon in the city was not conducive to actually being a dad. Now all settled, he realizes his young daughter is practically a stranger to him and he is set on rectifying that. Is there anything hotter than a guy busting his butt off trying to be a better father?? I don’t think so. He was serious but sweet, sexy and really focused on taking care of his baby girl.
Addie owns the bookstore in town and little Bella is one of her regular customers. That pretty girl just calls to her and she’s determined to cheer her up with some holiday spirit and helping them out when they’re in a jam. What if that entails having to spend some time with the sexy Doctor? As long as she doesn’t fall, what’s wrong with some eye candy?
Obviously, the more time they spend together, the more Addie and Drew’s attraction grows. But with Drew determined to never make the same mistakes of his past, do they even have a chance?
Addie was a sweetheart, all smiles and niceness. She had some serious self-esteem issues, and this eventually got on my nerves, but she was just so nice I couldn’t help but like her. I really liked how much little Bella was a part of this story, and how they all became close together to be a family.
All sweetness and hot kisses, this had a little angst to even things out, but it’s all mostly holiday cheer. A perfect quick and light read for this time of the year.

Not one to read alot of holiday books because I work in retail and it comes all too soon I am very selective in what I do read. This one is one of the few that got past me thanks to having read this author a time or two knowing she will give her best. Miracles comes in all shapes and sizes and curious how this one will come about is a soon answered. Drew and Addie seem like they both need the same medicine actually with it comes in doses. This one also did the same for me as I read it needing that same medicine as they did. As you see how this one goes on you become so immersed in them that forgetting your surroundings will become the norm while reading this one. You see you want that miracle to happen for them thanks to the magic in the writing.

This was a cute book that gets you right into the holiday spirit. I just loved Addie. She’s was an awesome woman. She’s full of kindness and heart. It broke my heart to know how her high school days were, but karma is going to repay her for her kindness she shows daily. It also broke my heart in the beginning of this book for Drew and Bella. Bella is so adorable and I love her interactions with Addie. This book is jam packed full heart and feels. I highly recommend it!!
Now this book is an example of why I love holiday stories. All that magic and romance of the holidays wrapped up in a beautiful family story. Addie and Drew are amazing characters and Drew’s daughter Isabella is such a cutie. Small town life is new for Drew and his daughter. Drew had to admit he wasn’t giving his daughter the life she deserved when her mother decides to completely leave both their lives so he packs them up and takes a job in Shadow Creek. His plan is to focus fully on Isabella. That is until the shy unassuming bookstore owner, Addie Mayberry, comes into their lives. If Addie has her way this will be the best Christmas any of them have ever had.
Fantastic story that is wonderfully written with characters that will steal your heart. I highly recommend this one.
After realizing his fast paced city life wasn’t conducive to raising a child on his own, Drew Barrett decided it might be time to take a step back from that lifestyle, for something a little calmer. And he knew returning to Shadow Creek would give them just what they needed, a quieter life, one where he could still do what he loved, but also give Bella the good, wholesome life she deserved. What he never wanted or expected to find there was love, the moment his daughter befriends a local shop owner and they bond over their love of Christmas everything changes. This change isn’t easily received, at first, it takes a persistent little girl and the magic of Christmas to turn it into a miracle they all needed!
A Christmas Miracle for the Doctor is a beautifully crafted tale that will give a nice little tug on the heartstrings and leave you heart full of joy! I am a sucker for heartwarming single parent stories and this book definitely had all of feels and then some. These well crafted characters wandered onto the page, lured me into their world, and made me feel right at home, as if I were meant to be there all along. Early on I developed quite an attachment to them, Drew had a lot of old hurt to work through, and was quite adamant love wasn’t part of his life plan, but love had other plans for him. I enjoyed watching him maneuver through all the unexpected changes in his life, and find the courage to open his heart to love again, Addie and him were a perfect pairing. If you are looking for a wholesome, feel good Christmas story, I highly recommend you pick this one up, it’s certain to warm your heart and bring on some holiday spirit!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from NetGalley, and I am voluntarily leaving an honest opinion.
Victoria Vane continues to charm in this small town series. Drew and Addie are a pair of wounded souls looking for a new start in this small Montana Town. Both have returned to their roots in search for what they had lost in the past. They find that in each other through the connection made through his daughter the effervescent Bella. She is a wounded little girl who is finding her feet in the pure love given to her by Addie. The outcome is an all around happy outcome for all three.
Oh how I love this Series by Victoria James. Sadly somehow I missed the last two. I’ll catch up though. Once again Victoria James swept me away in the world of Shadow Creek. Addie is an extremely relatable character! I love that she’s full of love and joy and helps others see that. I hate that her mother is a horrible person that tore her down most of her life. I hope she gets her comeuppance soon. Drew is totally the hero to sweep women off their feet! An amazing dad who is determined to put his daughter first. When he went all alpha I could have swooned like regency era lady! Finally my favorite character in this story was Drew’s daughter Bella. She’s charming, sweet and hilarious and she totally stole the show!
If you enjoy a great, slowburning friends to lovers romance I highly recommend reading A Christmas Miracle for the Doctor.

But when he moves back home to Shadow Creek where he grew up he’ll soon find out that not only is his daughter in love with Addie but he is too. Can they come to a comprise and become a family for Isabella?
This is the first book I have by this author and now I am a fan.
The story of Addie Mayberry and Doctor Drew Barrett will touch your hearts. At times heartbreaking , it is also heartwarming.
Addie is a children’s bookstore owner whose childhood was rather tough and a mother who constantly criticized her. She feels she will never be enough. Her new customer is a seven year old girl whose parents are divorced and feels she is not enough , as well. Drew, her Dad, has changed his life and returned to his hometown in order to give his daughter a safe place and a place to feel loved. Watching the three of them interact was touching and poignant.
This is a story about overcoming mistakes, failures, self-esteem and doubts, in order to find love, hope, and a new beginning. Be forewarn that tissues might be in order.
