After personal assistant Kiersten Abbott wins sixty-nine million dollars in the lotto, she suddenly has more than enough money to quit her impossibly demanding job. But where’s the fun in that? She decides to stay and exact a little revenge on her insufferable ass of a boss.
Billionaire Cole Harrington quickly figures out something’s afoot with his usually agreeable personal assistant. When he … assistant. When he finds out about the office pool betting on how long it’ll take him to fire her, he decides to spice things up and see how far he can push her until she quits.
The game is on, with everyone waiting to see who will crack first. But the bet sparks a new dynamic between them, and soon they realize they just might have crossed that fine line between hate and love.

I can’t say enough about this book. From the first scene, I was hooked and I couldn’t put it down. I laughed so damn hard at times, my mother-in-law who was in the other room, kept asking me what was happening. So I would try to recount for her the scene and she would laugh too. I finished it in one sitting, then read it again.
I’m not sure what happened to rom com. But I’m so glad that a few new to me authors are getting it right. 69 Million Things I Hate About You is original, funny, inspired, steamy, and a serious page turner. I couldn’t wait to see what the heroine would think up next! Oh and loved that ending! If you like rom com and want something different, give this a try.
What a fun read!!!
We all have that one boss. Laugh out loud funny! I loved it!
69 Million things I Hate About You by Kira Archer – This is comedy gold! Three best friends win the lottery, and instead of quitting their stressful jobs stick around until everything goes through. In the meantime, Kiersten starts a betting pool for when she will get her billionaire boss to fire her. But as the two of them ramp up the competition for who can drive the other the craziest, they realize how much fun they have together when they are being themselves. Loved every bit of this! Made my Friday! Happy Reading!
I love it when a book makes me laugh out loud. This one certainly delivered the goods!
This is the first book that I have read by Kira Archer. I will definitely be looking for more books by Ms. Archer.
Makes you wonder what you would do with that kind of freedom! A fun read
4 Never Stars. What a completely funny, entertaining, and total brain-candy rom-com!!! I loved it! Yeah, Cole had it all and was the ultimate demanding jerk of a boss. But, he had his reasons. He is also not at all what he appears to be to his employees. You get that as soon as you see him interacting with Brooks, his best friend. Kiersten, or is it Krispin? Anyway, K is an overachiever and more than a little OCD. She’s also a people pleaser. When her life suddenly changes and she can take chances she never thought she’d be able to, is when things really get interesting. If you’re looking for a totally fun read that will have you laughing out loud, you’d better check this one out.
ROFL at parts of this book!
Cute if a little far fetched.
A good book for light reading.
Very cute
All Nighter! Could not put it down! Laughed out loud!
I have to admit: I LOVE that BookBub always gives me new authors to try. When a book goes on sale that looks fun like 69 Million Things did, I always have to give it a try and with this book? I am so supremely happy that I did.
I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning reading this one.
Funny and fun, sexy and flirtatious, I had the most AWESOME time losing myself in Kiersten and Cole’s world. I couldn’t wait to see what pranks and schemes the two of them would cook up next for each other and when this story was over, I simultaneously sighed and swooned because it ended, regretting that I couldn’t immediately read it again.
This was my first Kira Archer book, but it will definitely NOT be my last. LOVED. EVERY. MINUTE.
Not my typical genre (the billionaire premise usually holds no interest for me), but this storyline intrigued. This book had some laugh-out-loud moments and I enjoyed the chemistry between the characters. Almost makes me want to read the next in the series!
This book had me laughing out loud, so entertaining!
Fast read
Enjoyed the situation, the lottery win. I don’t see that too often in a romance novel. The characters were easy to fall in love with and the dialogue was fun.
A few times I laughed out loud while reading this book.
