Jack Reacher is out in the middle of nowhere, in South Dakota. On a Bus. Stuck in a snowstorm. The bus crashes and the passengers are left in Bolton, South Dakota. An assassin is on his way to kill a woman in Bolton. Reacher does what only Reacher can do. Another great Lee Child read.
“61 Hours” is an edge of the seat thriller, featuring Jack Reacher. It is my first read of a Lee Child book, but it will not be my last.
It is well written, highly entertaining and includes lots of unexpected twists and turns.
What can say? The usual page turning from Lee Child. I think this is one of his better ones.
Ok. I have made it a habit of reading the Jack Reacher series in order, so if you are like me and have not made it this far, STOP! As for the rest of Jack’s fans, read on. This is hands down the best Jack Reacher story in the series. Lee Cild has outdone himself with this amazing, twisted novel that is as gripping as Reacher’s right fist. The characters and the story line keep you begging for more, page after page. Reacher always seems to end up in the wrong place at the right time, and always lands on his feet. Great book which I highly recommend. Enjoy!
This is the only Jack Reacher book where I really worried that he did not survive and was anxiously waiting for the next book to come out. He seemed to be in an unresolvable situation when this book ended. One of the best in the series!
This 14th book’s storyline was okay. I liked the action in this story. I liked Reacher’s character. The ending was okay.
As all Jack Reacher books, I have read them all but four!! Can’t imagine Tom Cruise as his screen person but that doesn’t stop me from reading them!!!
Great!
Jack catches a ride on a tour bus that wrecks outside near Bolton, South Dakota. It’s colder than he’s ever been in before and never wants to be again. Per usual, Jack gets involved and his sense of justice and right sticks him in the middle of the conflict as he tries to protect a witness from being killed. Lots of ins and outs, as always, and somehow Jack survives in the midst of unsurmountable odds and evil. Who would/could guess what is coming next…?
Jack reacher at his best. Twists that I did not see coming
61 Hours is the first book I read written by Lee Child. I loved it! From the very beginning, the action starts as Reacher gets off the bus in a strange town, and is immediately suspected of a crime, but then is drawn into the drama of protecting a witness who refuses to leave her home, counting down to the time when the mysterious Plato is ready to take control of an intricate network of criminals. Reacher throws a wrench into everyone’s plans, and decides to handle the problems his own way. Get ready for a thrill ride!
Lee Child never disappoints.
SUPERIOR author
All Jack Reacher books are good, just in varying degrees!
I really like Lee Child as an author. His character and style of writing keeps you on edge to the end.
This is one of my favorite Reacher books.
We see a lot happen, and it’s all compressed into a short time (the titular 61 hours). The constraint makes everything feel fast-paced. The Reacher formula is in effect, but when it works–as it does here–it produces a very entertaining novel.
I like all the Jack Reacher books.
This was a gripping Jack Reacher story. As the action unfurled, the clock kept ticking down… but to what? My interest was kept all the way through the VERY surprising ending.
Lee Child always delivers
I always enjoy a Jack Reacher story!
