This is the first book of the Cy & Lou cozy mysteries. Tongue in cheek humor. Seasoned detectives on a hint in my very own Kentucky, although, other end of state. Cy & Lou have distinct quirks and habits you look forward to in each book. I have enjoyed this series of books after many a long day at work. Even though the books are about the same …

Very funny book.
The Author did a great job with the murder plot.
Very complex clues, but he summarizes them so you can follow along and try to guess the riddles.

Found this book a little wordy but you really get into the daily life of these two detectives. Then there are twists that keep you going to the end. Ha! And when you think its over. Think again!

This book would have been so much better if less time had been spent on the physical description of the two detectives with their level of physical capabilities and more on expanding on the plot. The basic story line is great along with the, “who done it” factor as the reader proceeds through the book. There are so many other adjectives and …

I loved this story! Those two bumbling clumsy inspectors could star in a good comedy movie. But Cys brain isn’t impaired because he finally hit upon who the guilty party was. I love a good mystery that wakes up my brain cells, and this was just the thing. It confused me at times, but that’s all the better. If something is too easy it would be …

I just happened to read many of the negative reviews prior to reading this book, yet I read it anyway and I found it quite enjoyable and humorous, and I even plan to start book 2 in the series next.
