Sick horror story. Can definitely make your stomach turn. Very evil and sadistic, right from the beginning.
I’m very glad I got this for free, as I haven’t lost any money. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for time. The writing was better than most that I’ve read lately, but not good enough to merit a higher rating. The story was incomplete, as it is just a teaser for the later books (which I will forego). None of the characters had any depth or …
This book was disturbing enough that I almost wanted to put it down but the plot was so strong I wound up following all the way through. The characters are all flawed with redemptive qualities. The plot was entirely unique (seriously, I love the horror genre and have never read anything this complex) and built in a way that made me want to read …
Very good read if you like horror
Awesomely unique with sickening imagination!! Terrifying and intriguing all at the same time! Hopefully not too many places like this exist??
Once you read this book, you’ll be begging to read the other two in the trilogy! I was able to read this for free thanks to the author. I was completely hooked after the first chapter. I began reading this at work (I’m a 911 dispatcher) and it would be so difficult to put it down when needed. Once I got home, I read the entire book through and …
3.5 stars
This book is creepy and weird and I’m so fascinated with it! I think some things could have been left out, but overall I enjoyed it. I’ve honestly never read anything like this book.
Totally off the wall ,reminiscent off Stephen Kings book the fog but with a hell off a punch, actually quite scary!!!!!
WOW!!! I have to say, this series, especially the first book, needs its own new genre. Horror just doesn’t seem to be scary enough to cover it. A. R. Wise is a wizard of horror in these books. I read stuff in here that I thought no mind, regardless of how twisted it is, could ever dream up. If you haven’t had the pleasure of reading Mr. Wise yet, …
I enjoyed it. Can’t wait to read book 2
Awful
I enjoyed the characters but got bogged down in the story.
I did not care for it. To strange and deleted it after 2 chapters.
Sorry just not my cup of tea. I found it hard to follow when times kept going from the past to the present and back again.
Finished but only because I started
Confusing, and boring.
Different & boring at first
This book kept me on my toes and kept me wanting more! It’s got twists and turns throughout and the ending is quite unpredictable! 10/10 would recommend!
Very well written. I thought that the whole book was extremely sad, the way so many lives were affected and that the event described was obviously cyclical in nature… It kept me on the edge of my seat.
