On a hunch, Michael reviews ancient records. He is astonished at what he finds. He goes before the appeals court. The lawyers at the other table hammer him; the judges pursue him. He leaves with a heavy heart. With gathering speed, the days tick past.
30 Days of Justis is the story of a frantic father who happens to be a lawyer–but is he lawyer enough to save his child? Will there be a last minute call? Or is he in Cache’s life only as the last face she sees before it goes dark? A psychological thriller? Yes, definitely. A legal thriller? Yes, definitely. And so much more.
From American Institute for Justice: Most engaging legal thriller of 2018 – destined to become #1 on Amazon Bestsellers charts. John Ellsworth has written the definitive novel about a young woman on death row in Washington State. She is 28 years old and knows only that she has a father she’s never met. His name is Michael Gresham. He is a lawyer.
From San Francisco Review of Books: This is the first John Ellsworth novel this reader has explored. It is so convincingly written – not only the spot on legal aspects, but also the fascinating characters he paints and involves in his complex plot – that it serves as a fine aperitif for his output. This man writes very well indeed.

It was the first book I’d read by this author. Once I started reading, I could not stop. The premise was intriguing, I loved the way the protagonist immediately responded to the daughter he never knew, and it kept me on the edge of the couch (I was reading lying down) right until the end. Highly recommended.
Lawyer Michael Gresham has 30 days to save the life of the daughter he didn’t know he had. Evidently she is the product of a brief relationship he had many years ago and was not told about. She is on death row due to sloppy work of a lawyer who has an agenda that doesn’t include good representation. There’s not much time for him to look into her case and see if he can get her off of death row. To make it more difficult he is recovering from a stroke and is in weakened condition. He is doing his best but is it good enough. It’s another page turner by John Ellsworth.

Interesting story, if not believable. Just way too many conflicts of interest. Surely, someone, somewhere, would have drawn the line. And the cover is a little misleading.
The story that is told in this book just cannot happen no matter how corrupt some folks think the Judicial System is. If I could have even half believed the story I would give it a middle of the road rating. I have read Mr. Ellsworth in the past and he is a good author. Just not this time.
I enjoyed this book from the beginning. A very good read!
I liked this book overall, but the writing in first person was hard to get used to. Plus the author wrote very straightforward (as males tend to do) & it was somewhat abrupt in many places.
This was a really good book. I enjoyed it very much.
Disappointed. Unrealistic
Although much of the book focused on procedural issues of law, the book held my interest due to the character development, the family devotion and the determination of one man to keep his family together. It held my interest throughout.
I really like the book. Once I started reading I did not want to put it down
A great read, this book kept me interested all the way through to the last page.
Another fabulous book from John Ellsworth! Different from others, no formula writing. Always entertaining and satisfying.
Wow! As an avid reader this one caught me by surprise. Loved everything about this book, couldn’t put it down. Wonderful characters, story, twists and turns, all done with excellent writing. Highly recommended.
Some of the twists and turns of the legal machinations stretched the bounds if reason (no way would this juvenile have gotten a death sentence) but still a good read.
I thought this book was great. Easy reading, hard to put down, kept my attention and informative.
the legal system is slow to do anything as remotely depicted as in the book…
I really enjoyed this book. The author made everything in writing seem like it was a true story. Truly a good author to follow.
Worth a read.
great, kept my interest up till the very end.

I loved this book. The characters and their interaction in an almost impossible situation made me unable to put it down. Makes on really rethink the death penalty as well using a realistic situation and fantastic characters.
