If at first you don’t succeed, keep going down the list…Addison:I need you to know I’m not pathetic. A little desperate, sure. But not pathetic. And mostly I agreed to Jessa’s insane boyfriend-finding list idea because Carter was looking at me like it was the stupidest idea known to man, and I wanted to irk him.Carter:Jessa’s guy-finding list is the stupidest idea known to man. The only reason … the stupidest idea known to man. The only reason Addison doesn’t have a boyfriend is because she’s the boss’s daughter, and none of the guys in our shop want to be fired.
Addison:
Maybe if he hadn’t kissed me last weekend, I wouldn’t be thinking about him constantly. See there? This is his fault. If I need to use a list to find someone who will get him out of my head, then so be it.
Carter:
Maybe if I hadn’t kissed her last weekend, the list wouldn’t bother me so much, but now I can’t get her out of my head. So I’m going to do the only thing a sane guy would do in my position. I’m going to sabotage the experiment…
Author’s note: 27 Ways to Find a Boyfriend is a steamy-clean adult romantic comedy with all the sizzle but no sex.

I love how this talented author can write in so many different styles. Personally, these contemporary style stories of hers are my favourites. I loved the chemistry between the characters. The plot was really fun and different, the characters were strong and engaging. The humour kept me interested and laughing.
I’m sure I will be reading this one again and again. I highly recommend it. I preordered it weeks before the release date and I’m so glad I did. It was definitely worth it. I received a complimentary advanced copy from the author but I loved it so much I bought it outright too. It’s a great book.
I asked some writer friends for recommendations of books that are clean romantic comedies but do a great job of building the chemistry between the romantic leads. You know: make you swoon without making you blush? I’ve been working may through their recommendations. This one was first, and it was so much fun. If you’re looking for some fun summer escapism, grab it, because it’s all kinds of swoony!
This was such a fun book to read! I had to share some of the most humorous bits with my husband. I loved the main characters and their family members. Some were doing all they could for the romance and one doing all he could to keep it from happening. Addison and Carter do get their HEA though it wasn’t easy.
I’ve already checked into the next book. Sahri L. Tapscott was a new author to me and I’m so glad to have found her.
Addison’s best friend, Jessa, just got married. Addison got hit in the face with the bouquet, but she doesn’t have a boyfriend. Her dad runs a local garage that fixes up classic cars, and the guy she’s crushed on for the last ten years , Carter – who just happens to be Jessa’s brother, works there. She sees him every day, but her dad says he’s not good enough for her. Most of the guys who work there would love to ask Addison out, but her dad would kill them if they did.
When Jessa gives her a list of 27 ways to find a boyfriend, Addison figures she may as well try some of them. What results is a light-hearted adventure that’ll leave a smile on your face.
I love everything this author has written, but I don’t have any person connection to her. If you buy her books, you’ll love them too.
I received this as an ARC, but I bought the book, too, so I can read it over and over again.
This is the first contemporary book I’ve read of Tapscott’s (I think I’ve read all her fantasy ones), but it certainly won’t be my last! There were places (plural!) in this book that made me laugh so hard I snorted–and then I laughed so hard I cried. This is one of the funniest, sweet romances I’ve read in a long time. The characters are utterly lovable and the situations they find themselves in are cute, cringy, romantic, and hilarious. I loved the dynamic of the characters with each other and the supporting cast. There’s an over-protective father, a meddling best friend, a kind stem-mom, a few swoony fellows, and sweet Addison. And a list to capture a boyfriend that had me both taking notes and rolling my eyes!
The thing I love most about Tapscott’s books is that while they’re superbly romantic, they are always clean. Anyone who loves a good contemporary romance that hits all the feels while not giving too many details will love 27 Ways to Find a Boyfriend.
What a fun book! This came highly recommended and I am so happy I got it on kindle unlimited. This book had some awesome tension and was actually believable. For the first sentence you got right into Addision’s head. I loved that you got a feel of her personality and who she was right off. You knew a lot about these two without being told much or a long back story. It was perfect. Carter was not very likable till you got into his head and then man, this book was just a happy escape. You know how in books that author tries to build tension by having them get close and then get pulled apart. It will drive me to put a book down if an author does that too many time in this book it worked. It just made the tension mount! This is chaste, with no talk of religion. Some kissing, I would let my teen read this for sure.
I only recently discovered this new-to-me author, and I am hooked!
This cute, funny, and mostly drama-free rom-com hits the spot for me: I love the characters, Addison and Carter have great chemistry, I love their banter, and it was easy to root for these two from the get-go. I also enjoyed getting to know Addison’s BFF Jessa and her husband Franklin, Addison’s dad and stepmom Lydia, the Kentford crew including Isaac, as well as Heath and the pretty Daisy.
I’m definitely looking forward to reading more books in the series!
Holy wowzers! Can I just tell you how much I adored this book?! Once I started it, I had an extremely hard time putting it down. I may or may not have been irrationally angry when I had to go to work instead of staying home and reading all day. I love when a book captivates me like this one did.
I absolutely loved Addison and Carter! The chemistry between these two was sizzling and I couldn’t help shipping them from the very beginning. They had a lot of obstacles that most couples wouldn’t have, but once they realized what they wanted, they weren’t going to let anyone stop them from being happy.
The feels were definitely real my friends. I found myself laughing out loud, holding my breathe in anticipation, growling in frustration and letting out little dreamy sighs throughout the book. I honestly did not want the book to end!
I really enjoyed all the side characters as well. Jessa was hilarious and an amazing best friend. Some of the scenes with Gio and Heath were pretty funny albeit a little awkward for our sweet Addison. Have a mentioned that I laughed out loud several times? But can I just tell you how much Addison’s dad got on my nerves?! Ugh! Men! Haha.
This was a great start to a new fun series! I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series being released. I have already preordered it without even reading the synopsis. I’m choosing to be adventurous! (Do you see what I did there?! Hehe.)
This is my very first book by Ms. Tapscott and I’ll be checking out more of her books. Any author who can grab and keep my attention from the very first page is a for sure winner in my book.
Steamy clean romantic comedies are my favorite and guess what? I’ve found a new-to-me author who writes them! I laughed; I swooned; and I wished on a star that things would work out just the way I wanted them to. And guess what again? There were a few twists that I didn’t expect, which made it all the more fun to read.
Addison is finally ready to find someone after her best friend, Jessa, gets married and produces a list of ways to find a man. Of course, Jessa’s brother, Carter, thinks it’s stupid, but things start getting pretty interesting when he takes a vested interest in the items on said list.
The family dynamics were both fun and heartbreaking, but it was the sizzling sparks that caught my heart on fire. I loved the alternating points of view and eagerly awaited each switch to see what the other one was thinking.
This is just the kind of book that I could visualize as a movie playing out in my mind while I was reading it. I adored every single character and loved the way everything was woven together to make a deliciously beautiful story that made me laugh out loud multiple times. You can bet your bottom dollar that I’m clearing my calendar for the day when the next book is released.
Content: mild+ steamy clean romance (kissing, some innuendo)
*I received a complimentary copy. All opinions expressed are my own and were voluntarily given.*
I loved this book. Lots of sizzle, no steam, cute characters and a happily ever after.
As always when I finish a Shari Tapscott book, I’m full of all the warm fuzzies This story is so adorable and I absolutely love all of the characters, especially Cocoa!! It’s sweet and romantic while staying clean which can be very hard to find.
