Reason 17 – The year Nana drank too much eggnog and threw up in my Guccis. Isabel hates Christmas. She’s got a Christmas disaster for each of her 25 years. When her boss sends her from the sun-kissed beaches of Australia to snowy small-town Wyoming, it’s just another thing to add to her ‘do not like’ list. Snow sucks. Christmas sucks. And cowboys suck most of all.Except maybe for one… Christmas sucks. And cowboys suck most of all.
Except maybe for one…
Reason 21 – The year my workplace secret Santa bought me tampons. From the bathroom vending machine.
Johnny loves Christmas. And it only gets better when he lays eyes on a grinchy brunette with the cutest accent around. She might only be in town for a few weeks, but he’s never been one to back down from a challenge. He’s going to right every wrong on her list to make her fall in love with Christmas.
And with him.
Reason 25 – The year I fell for a sexy cowboy. Who lives on the other side of the world. What the hell do I do now?
25 Reasons to Hate Christmas and Cowboys is a standalone romantic comedy sure to give you all the feels of a Hallmark movie, but with the steamy scenes you know you know you’ve been missing.

I loved this sexy take on a cozy holiday romance! Johnny is SUCH a great hero, and Thorpe’s effortless style takes you right into the heart of what Christmas really is about. This was the perfect read and it had some super sexy scenes as well!

Cowboys and Christmas?! You can’t go wrong with that. 25 Reasons to Hate Christmas and Cowboys is a steamy, hilarious, and sweet holiday romance. This book will warm you up on those chilly winter nights and make you fall in love with Christmas and the cowboy.
Isabel is in Wyoming setting up Christmas displays for a department store when Johnny see’s her and is instantly attracted to her. However, she is just visiting from her home country of Australia and really wants nothing to do with him. I loved how determined Johnny is at pursuing Isabel knowing it is only temporary and trying to get her to fall in love with Christmas again.
This story was super sweet, it was steamy and you can’t help but fall in love with both Johnny and Isabel, plus I loved Isabel’s roommate back in Australia. She was hilarious! This isn’t just a must read for the Holiday’s but one I’d read any time of the year!
As per usual Elle Thorpe works her magic and gives us a story that’s full of sweetness with a dash of sexy. And we add Johnny to the list of book boy friends that we all need and love. Because honestly he’s the best. This tale was for sure about loving the season, and finding a magic kind of love as a seasonal bonus. I shipped it so hard and from page one so honestly it deserves all the damn stars.
This book is funny, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
Johnny & Isabel: What true love and romance are made of
I found Elle Thorpe through a giveaway in one of the reader group’s I am part of. Honestly, that’s how I find most of the new authors I start to follow. I didn’t know that this book was Johnny & Isabel’s story (which I learned a little about in Talk Dirty Cowboy) and am I in love with these two. Everything about Johnny is yummy, delicious, swoony, delectable, sweet, sexy, and so romantic. Everything about Isabel is sassy, witty, funny, charming, also sexy, and incredibly lovable. Together…they are magic!!! The witty, sexy banter between them. The chemistry is and the love between them, how it grew so organically, honest, unassuming, and so transparent, even though neither one of them wanted to admit it. Elle, I simply love your honest, day-to-day situations and relatable characters. People we could all have in our circle of friends and who encompass all those great and not so great qualities we humans are bestowed upon. This was just a wonderful, quick read, with all the feels. Bravo Elle !!!

It was ok but not as good as the blurb made me think it would be. The characters read really young to me and I didn’t connect with them. I have read Buck Cowboys and absolutely loved it so I thought I would love this book. Hopefully I will love the next book. Until next time y’all happy reading.
I loved 25 reasons to Hate Christmas and Cowboys. This is a fantastic Christmas romance. The characters are wonderful and have great chemistry. This book is fun, humorous, steamy, sweet and romantic. It is the perfect Christmas story. I highly recommend it.
What happens when a handsome cowboy promises to give the pretty girl 25 good memories to make her love Christmas, and replace all 25 of her bad memories?
Johnny sees Isabel from outside the shop she’s working in in his hometown in Wyoming, and falls in love immediately. When he tries to get Isabel help him pick out clothes she uses a snotty attitude to keep him away, but then thinks better of it almost immediately. When she tries to explain her bad mood he catches her in a lie, and tells her he wants the real reason so she gives them to him, all 24 of them.
What follows is a fast paced insta-love story with both Johnny and Isabel feeling sad that it can only last for a month before she’s due back in Sidney.
Can Johnny tie Isabel so tight to him that she won’t want to go home, or will Isabel find out too late that Johnny might not be as serious as he appears? A sweet, and spicy, story about a cowboy and the lovely lady used to spending Christmas baking in the sun on Bondi Beach. Fun, and super sexy, this is a great intro to the Talk Dirty Cowboy series by Elle Thorpe!
Isabel hates Christmas as she’s always left disappointed, embarrassed or both. She is sent from sunny Australia to snowy Wyoming. She thinks that cowboys suck too until she meets Johnny West. Johnny feels immediate attraction for Isabel and is determined to prove that they should be together. Will Isabel give in or stay like the grumpy Grinch? Can Johnny overcome the bad in Isabel’s past so they can have a future together? A wonderful cute holiday read.

Two of my favorite things in one book, Christmas and Cowboys!
This is my first Elle Thorpe read but I have many of her books in my TBR.
This was such a sweet rom-com. I loved it. I love a good short book from time to time and this one was right up there with that title.
Everything about this book was amazing! Loved the chemistry between Isabel and Johnny. Love how Johnny was with Isabel.
Just everything about this was SO GOOD!

This is such a fun Christmas story. Isabel is visiting the states from Australia for Christmas and she has a list of reasons of why she hates Christmas. Johnny loves Christmas and is also intrigued by Isabel and when he sees her list he is on a mission to change her mind about Christmas. This is a definite must read for the holiday season.
Did I love this book because I am also an Aussie who thinks of blazing hot sunny weather prawns and the beach at Christmas. Yep probable but it was also a great fun read that drew me in and kept me engaged
Isabel hates all things Christmas and she isn’t impressed that her job as sent her to the heart of country Wyoming at this time of the year She isn’t ready for snow and wilderness and definitely not for small town Christmas Then she meets Johnny West and falls in instant lust with the local cowboy. He isn’t in lust he is love and he intends to make Isabel not only love him but Christmas as well.
My word, I love Johnny. He is so sweet, so tender and so loving. He is really a good guy. A great person all around. I love Isabel but Johnny made my heart beat so fast. The storyline is absolutely perfect. I love the uniqueness of the whole thing. I love the characters and the small town, the setting. I love the friends and family that support Isabel. This is truly a heartwarming Christmas story.

Isabel really does have the worst luck when it comes to Christmas and now she is stuck on the other side of the world where she doesn’t know anyone and it snows all the time. Johnny is a hot blooded guy who always sees the good in things as well as a bit of a skirt chaser so when he meets Isabel and her list of reasons to hate Christmas he feels the need to make Christmas right for her and the adventure to making Isabel love Christmas and him begins. Be ready for super cute gestures, laughs, love, Christmas spirit and a love story that gives you warm fuzzies!!!
25 REASONS TO HATE CHRISTMAS & COWBOYS should really be re-titled 25 REASONS TO HATE CHRISTMAS & LOVE COWBOYS. The Cowboy is named Johnny Aaron West. He has a face so handsome, is very tall & fit, but best of all a heart of gold. He is a man any woman could fall in love with, and her mother & grandma, too. He lives in a small town: Two Creek Plains, Wyoming. His favorite time of the year is Christmas.
Isabel Hale is from Sydney, Australia. Where I might add, it “NEVER” snows. Ever! Her job is as a product display designer and how to make them appealing to get shoppers in the door. She was not at all happy to be sent to small town Two Creek Plains in the dead of winter. Especially at Christmastime, with cold weather & lots of snow. Back in Australia, Christmas means the beach, prawns, and backyard cricket. Not all this white stuff. And no matter where she might be, she hates Christmas. She is the head Grinch of Grinchtown!
Isabel is begrudgingly working at her job, trying to make the store into a more attractive place to shop. She didn’t want to be there. While an all expenses paid work trip to the other side of the world might sound great, this tiny town was not for her. Until she heard a voice, spun on her heel, and got a face full of solid man chest. When she looked up to take a look at the face that belonged to the chest. He was gorgeous, with a easygoing smile. Isabel had just found the first thing that she liked about the entire state of Wyoming. She fell into instant lust. But sweet Johnny had fallen instantly in love.
This is a lighthearted romance. But the best part of the book is Johnny West. He has the list of why Isabel hates Christmas and has made it his mission to undue all her hates and make her love Christmas. He also has a plan to make her love him, too. I enjoyed this warm love story and hope you will take a chance and read it, too.
