FIRST PLACE WINNER OF THE NATIONAL EXCELLENCE IN ROMANCE FICTION AWARD: FOR BEST FIRST BOOK, AND TOP THREE FINALIST FOR BEST CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE!Sizzling contemporary romance author KC Decker takes readers on a steamy, erotic ride in her new series. Book 1 in The Jessie Hayes Series: 1462 South Broadway, is a compelling love story with a well-cultivated plot, spanning … plot, spanning the entire series. You will relate to the highly developed characters and want to follow them into battle in solidarity of their flaws. 1462 South Broadway is a smoking hot example of how kink and BDSM can be sexy and playful instead of always brooding or deviant.
Have you ever found yourself mired in the redundancy of day to day life? Perhaps everything seems perfect, but somehow existence just feels uninspired and mundane? This is the precise rut where Jessie Hayes finds herself. She has a great career, witty friends and an adventurous spirit to keep her fulfilled, but the matter of contention seems to be, she is constantly disappointed in men.
After yet another failed and painfully boring relationship, Jessie’s friends convince her to try something new, something crazy…something intoxicatingly sexy, and profoundly erotic.
What follows is a journey of sorts, but not one as cliché as simply finding the perfect man and living Happily Ever After, because there is far too much story to tell in between.
Follow talented author KC Decker as she takes you on an intensely erotic journey of BDSM, kink, sexual awakenings and ultimately, deep, abiding love.
FIVE STAR REVIEW FROM READERS’ FAVORITE: Reviewed by Christian Sia on May 6, 2017.
***** KC Decker’s 1462 South Broadway is book one in the Jessie Hayes series, a sizzling contemporary romance with a huge potential to entertain fans of the genre. In a deliciously crafted story, the reader is introduced to an exotic world of eroticism and a sexually famished Jessie Hayes in the quest for sexual pleasures. She is the kind of woman who could have been fulfilled, but she is not. She has a keen sense of adventure, surrounded by great friends, plus she has a good job, but then one thing doesn’t seem to work for her — men. And this is until she discovers 1462 South Broadway.
Apart from Fifty Shades of Grey — which wasn’t particularly interesting to me — I have hardly read anything in this genre, but I was able to complete this book in two sittings, and I mean complete it as in completely absorbed in it. KC Decker is a skilled writer who creates very compelling characters, exploring the most powerful and hidden emotions in them. Jessie Hayes may seem very normal from the outside, but deep inside her is a crazy longing, a fire that burns but that doesn’t consume. There is something powerfully weak about her and readers will connect with her emotions, her longing, and her sense of sensual adventure very easily. The plot is well-imagined and the author did a tremendous job to clear the work of any clichés that are often associated with this genre. The writing itself is sexy, crisp and well-polished. If the characters won’t seduce you, the author’s powerful prose will. It is steamy and exhilaratingly entertaining, the kind of story that will drive a reader over the edge.

I love this book. Will definitely be back to read more by Author K.C. Decker 🙂
Jessie was tired of all the lifeless boyfriends she has had. That morning telling her lifelong friend and roommate and his boyfriend about the guy she just broke up with. Devin gets a promotion card for club 1462. She went but never imagined her life would change like it did. Oh how the changes made a huge difference.
Prescription for Kink in her life
—>>> When Jessie’s last boyfriend signals the end of a now-too-long line of unfortunately regrettable and forgettable men, her best friend and condo mate extends an invitation to a BDSM club, 1462, for inspiration and sexual exploration. All it takes is one interview with Bishop, the club’s Gatekeeper, for Jessie to be salivating for more, especially with him.
I did begin Jessie’s story with Book 2 of this series (1700), and I was glad to have read this book as I now understand the trials and courtship she has had with Silas Bishop.
This is Jessie’s new journey, for once putting herself out there as the pursuer, trying to find a foothold in Silas’ life, both at his club and out of it. With all his experience, Silas himself has not found anyone whom he would like to share his life with.
I confess I am reserving judgement for Silas, as his actions thus far have not endeared himself to me, personally. Although I do understand his actions, he is lacking when it comes to living with the self-proclaimed “kinky courtesies” of “Communication, respect, and trust.” He does see her clearly, however, and has demonstrated remarkable insight into her character and personality. Fortunately, the men Jessie already has supporting her in her life and whom she trusts are unwavering in their regard and care (and steal the show for me a little more than Silas), and I cannot wait to see what comes next!
Noteworthy sizzling moments punctuate Jessie’s immersion into a relationship with a man she finally deems worthy of her regard and heart as well as a whole new world she cannot wait to explore with him. BTW, I wish I went to that steampunk ball, myself!
I should be flogged, I can’t believe I’ve not red another book by KC Decker. I have been missing so much!! This series could be one of my favorites!! Silas and Jessie are well written, compelling characters, and the chemistry is unreal. They have their issues to work through, but don’t we all. The book move quickly, there are smoking’ hot scenes, and a great ending leading into book2…. Can’t Wait!!
Will Jessie find what she’s looking for at 1462?
This is my 1st book by the author and all I can say is wow! Jessie kicks another boyfriend to the curb when her roommate suggests she go to 1462. When Jessie meets Silas, the club’s owner, all she wants is him. But will they trust each other despite the obstacles to have a relationship? You have to read to find out and won’t be disappointed.
I was very impressed by this book and author. This is my first book from this author but it won’t be the last. This book has some delicious dirty sex scenes along with a good story. I enjoyed every page. I can’t wait to read the next book.

The author, KC Decker, describes Jessie’s introduction in the BDSM scene and the developing of their relationship. It results in a very interesting story with a lot of hot sex action:
. Jessie’s admission test;
. The sushi/body meal;
. The Thai diner;
. The annual 1462 Fetish Ball;
. Telephone sex and an unexpected love confession;
. Break up and make good sex.
In short: the book was a page turner, easy to read and with credible, nice and interesting characters.

At first, I wanted to quit reading this book. I thought to myself, this is not doing anything for me. The character Jessie irritated me with her inner dialogue. It was too much. I thought she would never shut up. I just wanted her to get it over and move on to the next part of the story. But I looked at the other reviews and saw that people liked it. I went back to the book and it did start to get interesting starting with Declan. The lusty Scottish warrior. Then Jessie performing as sushi girl and then arriving at a masquerade ball as steampunk girl. Each time her roommate Devin and his boyfriend Corey, orchestrated each of her hot outfits, hair and makeup. Now Silas owns 1462 and took an immediate interest in Jessie when she went to apply for membership. Jessie definately found Silas extremely attractive. On the second part of her assessment, Jessie thought she was rejected from 1462. But she had misconstrued the situation and left. For the first time in like forever, Jessie felt rejected and took it hard. Several days later she ran into Silas at the grocery store. Jessie was determined to talk to him and give him a piece of her mind. In the end, all Jessie wanted to do was to go back to 1462 and prove she was good enough for membership. She did and she got in. In the meantime, Devin asked Jessie to attend a work function with him. While there, she runs into Silas again. They chat and he asks her if she would be interested in performing at the club as a sushi table. Jessie took this as a challenge and agreed. When the day came, she realized she was waaayyy over her head and out of her comfort zone. She ended up doing very well and as an added bonus, Silas was responsible for her aftercare. Finally, they went on a date but it was cut short. Silas got an emergency phone call. After not hearing from Silas, she receives an invitation from him for a steampunk masquerade ball. Devin and Corey assemble a hot and wicked ensemble. She goes and has no lack of attention. Carson approaches her and they fall into a congenial chat. He tells he about the club and what is offered. Then Silas sees them and it appears to Jessie that he is maybe jealous or maybe possessive. He pulls her upstairs to a private room and starts a BDSM scene with her. He invites Carson to partake in the scene. After Jessie is extremely aroused and the two men ready to penetrate her, something goes wrong. Silas immediately leaves the room without explaining himself. Jessie whispers her safe word. Carson backs off and unstraps her. Jessie becomes emotional and breaks down in tears. Carson tries to calm her down and provide aftercare but Jessie is not having it. She leaves. Devin her roommate tries to comfort Jessie. But she just wants to be alone. She is an emotional mess. Eventually Jessie pulls herself together and tries to forget Silas. Several days later, driving home from the gym, she runs into Silas. He begs for a chance to explain and invites her to dinner. She goes and Silas opens up to her. Jessie now understands and forgives him. It is the beginning of their relationship. Boy do they have their work cut out for them. On a work trip, Jessie and Silas sexily facetime together, when her co-worker, Salinger, walks into her hotel room. She screams and is disconnected from Silas. It is a misunderstanding between Jessie and Salinger. Jessie is overwrought and cries herself to sleep. She calls Silas the next morning to explain but her calls go directly to voicemail. She has left him several messages and texts but he has not returned any. Devin gives Jessie much needed emotional support and offers some sound advice. She is determined to see Silas and force him to hear her out. But she finds out that Silas is out of the country and is not expected back for a few weeks. Will she eventually see Silas? Will he give her the time to explain? Even if Jessie explains everything to him, will he continue to see her or end things with her? This is truly a romantic story. I am so glad I continued to read it. I highly recommend it and know you will not be disappointed.
I loved the whole series !! It was fantastic.
Although the suggested otherwise, the story is not just titillating with mild BDSM but surprisingly funny and sweet. Some parts of plot feels little hurried and forced but cute characters and romance and heat makes up. Quite enjoyable.

I was so glad to be finished with this read.
Hmm, where to start?
Writing, sentence structure, editing was alright. Poor creativity. Story line was nothing new. I thought it was a bit silly actually and a little dramatic at times. Not to mention the characters were wishy washy. I didn’t think they were consistent or well developed.
