A lot can happen in 10 years, and Gwen and Craig have been there for each other through it all, from meeting on the playground to juggling college finals. But their long-standing friendship hasn’t been without its challenges.
Gwen keeps her emotions locked down tight, and when someone hurts her, she shuts down and shuts them out. Craig has always been her hero, but when one night leaves her … leaves her broken, she realizes he has the power to hurt her the most.
Unable to get past Gwen’s emotional barriers, Craig focuses on baseball and reaching for his dreams, but he misses his best friend. He wonders if he’ll ever have the same relationship he did with the girl he met ten years ago.
When the barriers finally come down and their true feelings are revealed, will they finally become the couple everyone says they’re destined to be, or will the darkness from Gwen’s past tear them apart forever?

This is the fifth book in the Time for Love Series. This is a beautiful, emotional, and heartwarming second chance to love. Honey St. Dennis did a great job with the narration. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
10 Years (Time for Love #5) was a good read by Bethany Lopez. Gwen and Craig have been through a lot together since meeting on the playground. Although they remained friends, their friendship had it’s challenges. Gwen is the type of person who shuts down when someone hurts her. Craig was always her hero until she realized that he has the power to hurt her the most. Craig decided to focus on baseball and reach his dreams, but he misses his best friend. They both hide their feelings from each other. I really enjoyed reading Gwen and Craig’s story and can’t wait to read more by the author.
Wow. Holding in so much pain and not knowing how to let it out or lean on your friends for support is tragic in its own way and we see how it can effect both sides with this book. Bethany is able to weave such a sad story into happiness in the end with such ease that you find yourself cheering for these characters the whole time. I think this book is by far my favorite so far as I listen to this series, but that can definitely change by the time I listen to the next.
Emotional, sad, but not scary or extremely tragic. Worth the read.
Wow!! Gwen and Craig was everything. I loved absolutely everything about there story. How they met, how they both where there for one another. And how friendship turned into something more.
A well told story covering the 10 years Gwen & Craig have known each other using flashbacks. These two belong together yet situations can and do block their way. It takes courage and strength to face them and share them with each other.
I listened to the audio of 10 Years by Bethany Lopez and absolutely loved it. Honey St. Dennis did an absolutely amazing job bringing Craig and Gwen to life in their emotional and charming story. We have seen them throughout the previous 4 books in the series but had no idea how heartbreaking and heartwarming their journey would be.
Craig and Gwen met when they were 10 years old. Craig is Cal’s younger brother (8 weeks) and Gabby’s younger sister (42 Hours) and have been inseparable best friends ever since. They have always been there for each other and their friends. But before starting college, Gwen pulled away and barely acknowledges Craig and he has no idea why. Can he break down the barriers between them or is it too late?
Gwen was caring and kind, but also kept so much of herself buried. How could she give anyone the chance to hurt her? Craig was sweet, kind, and protective. He was determined to breakthrough to Gwen and find the future he always dreamed of sharing with her. Can he do it or is too late? 10 Years was an emotional read with so many feels. I loved the families and friendships in this series and highly recommend it!
Happy listening!
The story line of the book is good I just feel like it has two many flashbacks. I feel like it would have been better if the story would have played out their life or had less flashbacks.
Disappointing! The style of writing and constant flashbacks are a little too much. This story feels like you are reading a high school student’s diary. Although this book actually has amazing characters, I believe the author loses them in her writing style.
This book was odd. The characters were all good and likeable, but it just seemed like they got together too easily after 3 years of barely speaking. And the reason for the not speaking was DUMB!!!
I did not like going back and forth.
