Georgia:There are hundreds of things we know we must never do. For example, we shouldn’t run with scissors or take candy from strangers. But there’s another lesser-known rule, and it’s just as important as the ones you learned as a child: Never, never call your ex-boyfriend when your life is falling apart. But that’s exactly what I did.Isaac:What do you call it when your ex-girlfriend contacts you … did.
Isaac:
What do you call it when your ex-girlfriend contacts you out of the blue on the very same day her mother invites you over for Christmas? Some would call it fate, others coincidence.
I call it an opportunity. One I’m not going to pass up…
Author’s note: 10 Ways to Survive Christmas with Your Ex is a fun and festive 26,000-word Christmas novella. It can be read as a standalone, or along with the other books in the series.

My only wish is that it could have been longer! I loved these characters and this story. A perfect Christmas read with all the chemistry and just the right touch of humor.
Addison’s best friend, Jessa, just got married. Addison got hit in the face with the bouquet, but she doesn’t have a boyfriend. Her dad runs a local garage that fixes up classic cars, and the guy she’s crushed on for the last ten years , Carter – who just happens to be Jessa’s brother, works there. She sees him every day, but her dad says he’s not good enough for her. Most of the guys who work there would love to ask Addison out, but her dad would kill them if they did.
When Jessa gives her a list of 27 ways to find a boyfriend, Addison figures she may as well try some of them. What results is a light-hearted adventure that’ll leave a smile on your face.
I love everything this author has written, but I don’t have any person connection to her. If you buy her books, you’ll love them too.
I received this as an ARC, but I bought the book, too, so I can read it over and over again.
10 Ways to Survive Christmas with Your Ex was such a cute read! I had read one of Shari’s books before, but it was one of her fantasy novels. I liked it so much that I decided to try out her other books. This is the first contemporary romance that I have read, from Shari L Tapscott. And I am so glad that I took the chance on it.
This book was sweet and cute, it was about Georgia and Isaac. Georgia and Isaac had dated before in high school, but Georgia had ended their relationship and left home. But it is the Christmas season, and it seems that her mother is scheming against her. Her Christmas is about to be interrupted by none other than her ex, Isaac, and his parents.
I really liked Isaac. He was so nice and it was so funny to me that Georgia’s mom was trying to set her up with Isaac. He really cared for Georgia. It was so cool how they already knew each other and it was so fun to watch them fall in love. There were a couple of moments when I was like “poor Georgia” but things had a way of working out.
It was a cute easy read. I would recommend 10 Ways to Survive Christmasn with Your Ex especially after a stressful day and you just want a quick and fun read.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion
Short and sweet – and Isaac, oh my!
I loved this story of second chances, holiday spirit, and family shenanigans. Isaac has been a favorite of mine in the first two “27 ways” books, so I was curious to meet the lady who would steal his heart and hopefully be his HEA – and Georgia did not disappoint!
I’d love to read more stories in this series, please…
Sometimes when it rains, it pours and that’s just what happens to Georgia. Everything that could go wrong in her life goes wrong at the exact same time and who does she turn to? Her ex high school boyfriend from 10 years ago–Isaac.
Georgia is the type of person who wants to be fiercely independent and make a name for herself, but that’s hard to do when your life is falling apart. Isaac, on the other hand, is the type of person who fixes things. From cars to people, he’s a generously helpful guy. Doesn’t it sound like a match made in heaven? It could be if pride wasn’t an issue. These are great characters with a delightful situation, marked with some inklings of swoon and holiday magic.
This novella is adorably cute and as sweet as a Hallmark movie, but I wanted more. I wanted to see their second chance at love unfold in more detail and I wanted to savor it as I savor my delectably smooth and creamy Christmas chocolates. I guess with this one, instead of savoring, I devoured it in one sitting. It was still delicious, just not quite as satisfying as I wanted it to be.
Content: mild romance
Super cute! After finishing book two, I was excited to find this novella about Isaac. I loved him in the previous book and was excited to get his story. Isaac was great in this, charming and fun. Georgia is prickly and it was fun watching Isaac push her buttons. I loved the Christmas setting and thought it was an entertaining read. Love this series!
Content: Clean romance, no language or violence
(4.5 stars) – lighthearted romantic fun
Georgia & Isaac have been apart for a decade. That’s a lot of water under the bridge. They’ve done some growing & maturing since then, and the attraction never really died, just kind of smoldered. After Georgia calls him out of the blue for help, Isaac seizes an opportunity to rekindle the flame and the swoony fun commences!
The family pets’ obsession with the Christmas tree, and the matchmaking manipulation by the two moms is pretty hilarious! I also liked seeing some of the other characters from the earlier books. This is a strong conclusion to an excellent series!
*Clean romance level: passionate kisses
I was so stinkin happy that Isaac finally got his own happily ever after!! I loved him in the last two books and especially felt bad for him with Kaylee in the last one. This was a super cute, fun, and Christmasy story! Even if you haven’t ready the others in the series, this is a good standalone.

This author is brilliant at YA and NA clean romance. She’s an instant “Yes, must read!” for me whenever she has anything new out. As soon as I saw it, I pounced on this book and started reading it. After a stressful day, there’s nothing better. Couldn’t put it down and absolutely loved it! A great romantic comedy. A hearty 5 stars from me!
