Snowed in with a twist!
I’m a sucker for a snowed in together romance which made the start of It Started with Christmas my jam!…but then the sort of kind of love triangle meets quadrangle set and in and I wasn’t too sure anymore. I like Joe, Holly, and Rhett as individuals but all together I just wasn’t too sure but then Papa/Art saved the day!
I really liked Nana and Papa and totally loved the Christmas box! From that point on, the book picked up for me as some of the love issues began to sort out and it ended very strong.
If you like your Christmas romances with the heart and heat of a Hallmark movie I highly recommend this one!
Good book with nice characters. I liked the story and how it didn’t take the same path as other books often do. It’s realistic and an enjoyable read
I like Jenny Hale. She writes sincere, wholesome stories about people that could very well be your neighbors. I thought the ending went a little overboard but otherwise I enjoyed the story.
Enjoyed this book. It held my interest!!
Truly enjoyed it
I liked the book it was a nice romance book.
Just loved escaping for a bit and enjoying the story
During the holidays, I love to read a good Christmas romance. I’ve found that some are too short, too cheesy, or poorly written. So, I was so glad that this book was just right!
I loved the characters and the emphasis on the importance of family and community. I appreciated the fact that the characters had morals and integrity. I loved that true friendship was so important to all the characters.
Was the plot predictable? – yes. Did it matter? – no. I just enjoyed and appreciated this “feel good” story – keeping the perfect mood during the holidays!
I had a hard time with this book. I felt like it was having an identity crisis! Almost like the author didn’t really plot anything and just kept writing, For example; Holly was a waitress, apparently a phenomenal one! But she was also an interior designer. And a wedding planner, AND rehabbed old furniture! All so amazingly well. Joe felt flat to me. They had no connection in my opinion. And then we had Rhett, who just sort off popped in. I think he was supposed to be part of a “triangle” but there was also no connection there for me either. I won’t even go into his part of the “plot”. It made no sense. I would pass on this one.
This was a moving Christmas story full of loss, love & moving on. The characters were well developed & easy to relate to. I loved the relationship between Holly & her grandmother. She gave up so much to be there & support her in her grief. Getting back to where her grandparents love was established actually helped them both move on with life. Joseph was a surprise in the cabin but quickly became a big part of the story. The journey Joseph & Holly follow to their relationship is tough & bumpy but was enjoyable to witness.
