I never wanted my dad to remarry. The idea of replacing my mom seemed absurd to me, but he went ahead and did it anyway. I don’t know how he could possibly have ever thought that I would accept them into my world, though. I didn’t want a new mom, and I certainly didn’t want a stepbrother stealing away my only living parent’s attention. I vowed to myself on the day that they got married that I … would always be better than him, that I would always outshine my stepbrother in every way that I could, so that my dad had no choice but to look at me.
Life doesn’t always go to plan, though, and I know that now. Things change and so do people. The only things that are certain in life are what have passed and even then, no one person could ever truly understand the whole story. That’s how I lost the man I loved. That’s how I lost the person who I’d never accepted as a brother but had always been family to me, and now I need to find a way of getting him back.
Please Me Again is a 20,000-word steamy contemporary romance novella with a happily ever after.

I liked this book. I was surprised at how she wrote the main female character. I didn’t find her very redeeming. I could feel his emotions so clearly from the wonderful words written by the author…the love, the longing, the hate, and the overwhelming loss. I also felt her frustration when they meet again. Well written short story.
Good Read

I enjoyed reading the storyline and could relate to the characters involved. I did think that the main female character needed a small reality check. This is my type of book.

A good quick read.
Isabella is a girl who never felt she was good enough, inside. On the outside, she set about to become the best she could be when she turned seven and realized that her father paid more attention to her stepbrother, Paul. Unfortunately, she didn’t realize that Paul was the only one who cared about her until she blew it and pushed him away. It’s a sad story that ends on a good note but I wish it hadn’t been such a quick read and had gotten a little more deeply developed.

A enjoyable quick read with strong characters making a great taboo story about step siblings that is captivating and a second chance. There is drama, suspense, chemistry, twists and turns as these two get a second chance at a HEA six years later.

In this book we meet Isabella and Paul. Isabella has seen Paul and his mother as intruders into her and her father’s lives ever since they got married when she was five. However on the day she graduates she wanted it to be a father daughter thing, but that wasn’t what happened. Paul knows that he wants something from Isabella but if she can’t see what it is he isn’t going to make her. Can these two find common ground or will their chance have passed?
This is a great short story. It does have its ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. However I don’t want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
An awesome book. Extremely entertaining, captivating, and interesting read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong and intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.

ONE INTERESTING READ!!!
This is one exciting, action, pulse racing, page turning wonders that you’re not sure where it’s going until you get smacked in the face. So much hostility and anger that you have to wade through to get to the meat and potatoes. The two main characters have such a strong undeniable chemistry it’s gut-wretching to see what they each go through. All the twists and turns along with a few glitches here and there make for one enjoyable experience. You get all the drama, excitement, nailbiting, nerve racking, pulse racing and suspense that coils ever so tightly as the story unfolds. The characters and their personalities are so realistic and believable. The scenes are descriptive and detailed it really pulls this little gem together beautifully. Nicky did an amazing job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Fantastic job Nicky, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.
This story is about the choices we make when we are young and immature to those as an adult. Isabella made a choice to be selfish and reaped what she sowed and lived a miserable childhood right through young adult. She made life hard not just for herself but also for her stepbrother Paul. After claiming he loves her, which I couldn’t understand, he walks out of her life. Years later they meet again under dire circumstances but now their feelings have reversed… or have they? I felt like there was something missing in the development of the characters and the ending was too rushed.

Isabella never wanted her dad to remarry and she never wanted a stepbrother but life had a different plan for her. Since the day her dad remarried she decided she would do her best to outshine her stepbrother Paul which she does until the day of her graduation.
Paul has sat back and allowed Isabella to do what she wanted, he was there for her no matter what while growing up but the night of her graduation he tells her how it is, how it’s always been. That night he leaves and doesn’t return until six years later after a call that makes him go home.
Isabella and Paul are step siblings. Isabella never wanted her mom to be replaced, nor a new sibling taking her place in her father’s heart. There’s a lot of anger, but there’s love too!
