A very emotion grabbing storyline. I felt with how far we came that the ending didn’t fit the rest of the flow of the book. It just ended so quickly. It’s really good though.
Great western story, definitely recommend
I would consider this a so-so read. After dragging the story line out for what seemed like forever, the ending then happened very quickly. It was like the author thought… “oh my gosh..I only need 100 more words and then I can say The End”.
I appreciate free books. I realise authors put so much times in their writing but I didn’t enjoy this story. I got bored and I didn’t care for the writing style.
First time reading this author and enjoyed this book so much I have purchased book 2 and 3 in the Otegon trail series.
Interesting all the time. Compelling all the way through
Predictable, but enjoyable.

Not only does she have to deal with the tragic loss of her sister, but her father makes her promise to allow her brother in law Daggart to take care of her. Daggart is suffering from the loss of his wife and becomes …
Dragged out, Female character irritated me, she became irrational at the end. I finished the book, just wanted to know how it ended. I admit there were parts that kept me going but outcome didn’t seem right.
This was a cute western romance, but I have to say its probably a good thing they got all the knots of this crazy story untangled before they hit the hard part of the trip. I can’t imagine having some of these really complex arguments while everyone is seeing mirages and complaining about water shortages in the desert! Beth Ann and Nick have a …
Way too wordy…. descriptions of unimportant events.
Somewhat slow. A long drawn out read. Story interesting.
Terrible ending…great beginning
Too much about forbidden fruit, ending is less than smooth & quick, maybe due to poor editing. It is a quick read, and mostly about wagon trail from MO rather than closer to CA. Nothing about the trail to OR, which is part of the title. I would not recommend this book to anyone.
The story is the only reason I finished the book. The formatting is terrible. I’ve purchased 85 books and never seen this type of format. The letters were small and couldn’t be enlarged. They were also light gray. The pages were each like individual documents. They did not scroll. It was a very difficult read and I will not chose another from this …
Nice love syory
I was distracted by the fact that it felt like I had read this before.
Poorly written.
Where are the editors when you need them? It appears that the proofing was spell check, and that wasn’t always accurate, i.e. brother in law. Words were used incorrectly; adjectives and adverbs were misplaced. This is a period piece, but the language used in 21st century.
The plot was somewhat interesting, but could have been told in about …
