This was my first read in regards to a Female MC and was not disappointed! Loved all ten stories, some more than others, but all were great reads!
There are many battles to be won or lost: Cat vs. Mouse, Predator vs. Prey, Captor vs. Victim, Light vs. Dark, and Love vs. Hate. Each battle will be fought with everything that the King’s Harlots/Hell’s Harlem/Vice-One can dish out!
King’s Harlots #1 – Grit is focused on Jay Gold, Prez of King’s Harlots and Angel Rodriquez leader of Vice-One.
King’s Harlots #2 – Stain is focused on Asher Donovan and Meeka Cline who happen to be best friends that turn into lovers.
King’s Harlots #3 – Grim is a continuation of Jay and Angel. This story gives you a little more background to book one.
King’s Harlots #4 – Rude is Coby Porter and Brogan Tapp’s story. These two are a “cut” above the rest and they go through hell and back and then some.
King’s Harlots #5 – Numb is Dale Michaels and Maxine Stanton’s story. These two have the biggest push-pull relationship that I have ever read!
King’s Harlots #6 – Rust is Creena Chan and Vincent Stone’s story.
King’s Harlots #7 – For You is a continuation of Cody and Brogan. This one I needed some tissues for. There is nothing they won’t do for each other.
Hell’s Harlem #1 – This story is focused around Greyson Mercer, Prez of Hell’s Harlem and Eve/Marlowe Rhodes.
Hell’s Harlem #2 – This story is focused around Tray Lister and Zillah Wolf (daughter of the Prez from a rival MC).
Hell’s Harlem #3 – This story is focused around Catch Hunter and Sara Jenkins. I am sooo happy that Catch finally got his HEA!! I was really starting to get worried!
A female MC club (who has heard of that!?) and Alpha SEAL TEAM men come together. Lead by Bad ass Jay and all alpha Angel, these women and men join forces to try to rid their town of an evil that has seeped in.
Within each book you get the suspense from trying to figure out the trafficking that is ruining their town. But when the trafficking hits too close to home, there’s no option but to become invested in these people. You fall in love with each person you meet (maybe minus one, but he’ll grow on you before its over, I promise!)
Although the series was perfect, I was sad to see it end. You will want more than J.M. gives for sure!
I’ll give you a challenge, I DARE you not to love AND shed a tear for every single one in this world!
This is a 5 STAR BOX SET. That’s right. Each and every book will grab your heart and touch all of you senses. Below are my first impressions of each book…can’t give anything way…
Grit:
Holy Mother of “why the hell has this ended?” Batman!!! I’m hooked I tell you. H.O.O.K.E.D. In fact, I was hooked from the first Chapter. That’s right, the very first one, and it’s extremely hard to get me sucked in THAT early.
I have to get a few things off my chest before I begin my review. First, what a freaking PERFECT combination! MC and Military, brilliant. Two bad asses that not only compliment each other, but make each other stronger. Now that’s what I’m talking about. Second, just for the record, I NEVER write a review immediately after reading the book. I like to sit and let it marinate so that I can make sure I get everything out that needs to be said. So the fact that I’m currently sitting at my computer on a family night, 1 hour after finishing this book, writing my review, speaks VOLUMES about this one.
Stain:
Hmmmmm….well…let me start by stating that this topic is not for the faint of heart. In fact, some people may even categorize this as borderline dark. But let me say that although the topic has a dark tone, I’ve read WAY DARKER (Hellloooo Kitty – I love you) and this ain’t it. If you’ve read the first book in this series, then you’re aware that the evil being implied is indeed pure hell. If you haven’t read the first book, then you need to stop reading this review and pick it up because although you “could” read this as a standalone, I HIGHLY recommend you don’t.
Grim:
Batta Bing, Batta Bang…short and to the point with just the right amount of information and sex to get you through…until we start obsessing over the next one, that is.
Rude:
Ask me how long it’s been since a book has made me cry. Not, eyes getting glossy. Streams of water falling from my eyes, kind of crying. Actually. Scratch that. Don’t bother asking because I honestly can’t remember the last time. Until this book…
Numb:
You know that book that you KNOW will be the death of you emotionally? The book that you’ve been waiting for since the very beginning. The book that, after the ending of the last one, had already brought you to your knees before you even read it. Yeah, that’s this book and then some. I’ve gone through just about every emotion you can have while reading this. And now….I’m Numb.
Rust:
WOWZA! What a way to end a series. This was BY FAR the sexiest book I’ve read. But my heart still aches. I can’t believe this is over…(super sad crying face)
