I totally enjoyed this one. Nick and Meadow are perfect. I love the way he sees her beauty despite her scar. Oh and Sally! I love her! This has drama, suspense, a nasty serial killer, a nasty co worker, hot steamy sexy scenes and a heck of a twist that I didn’t see coming.
This book is the first in the Next Generation series. It’s a spinoff from Riley Edwards, Black Ops series. Don’t worry if you haven’t read that series this can be read as a standalone. But if like me you’re a fan of that series. You will know that we meet Nick as a child in the final book getting a brief glimpse of him as an adult. I was so happy to know that Nick would be getting his own book.
Nick Clark is an FBI special agent he’s transferred into the BAU (Behavioural Analysis Unit) The team is on a case investigating a serial killer that is targeting women. Four years on and the Killings have started up again. They are looking for new leads or something they have missed to catch this killer.
Meadow Holiday is living her life in the shadows. After suffering an horrific attack years ago, left her physically scarred for life. She became a loner and kept people at a distance. Having only an online friendship with Veronica Mars, who she met through a survivors chat room. And a local coffee shop barista, Beckie to get her through the tough times. The coffee shop also has a perk and that comes in the form of Nick. She’s never spoken to and only knows his name from it being called out for his order. She would before her attack tried to speak to him. But her feeling are… why would she even try when her face looks as it does.
Little does Meadow know but her and Nick’s lives are about to cross. In a way neither of them saw coming.
All The Pretty Girls was an intriguing romance thriller. That gripped me from the first pages. Nick definitely lived up to his uncles in the Alpha oh my! I loved his care and devotion not only to Meadow but to all things he cares about. I liked that their relationship wasn’t just straight to love because of storyline. A trust and friendship needed to be built up which gave this a more realistic feel to it. If your a fan of mystery and suspense with a great romance you’ll love this. I can’t wait for more in this series and i loved the little snippet we got of the men from the Black Ops series. If you haven’t read that series i can highly recommend along with this one!!
