A tale of music, forgiveness, and second chances. In each other they found a connection stronger than they could have imagined, but one night of devastation alters everyone they love. Sometimes we have to walk away. Sometimes we have to trust, and occasionally our biggest regrets carry us … regrets carry us back for redemption.
This is the second story in the Backroads Duet. Their beginning, Love in C Minor, is available now.

Oh my God this book!!
I’d been waiting for the continuation of Ridley & Reagans love story that seemed like it was thriving, but thing’s happened life happened. Is it too late for them? This story absolutely broke my heart and put it back together piece by piece. These ladies are just awesome the way they told this story it was like a movie happening in front of you that you wanted to reach out and touch it. The story just flowed flawlessly I felt as if it could keep going never stopping that we’d never have to say goodbye. This is one book that I highly would recommend reading in 2018.
This is my unbiased opinion and my review.
Violence and it’s aftermath tore them apart. Their grief too much to bare. The healing too hard to achieve together. Lives and dreams pulling them apart until that day. So many things unsaid. So many things unknown. But their story isn’t done and it’s up to him to prove it. This story is one of healing and love that hasn’t died. Of finding each other again. He makes it his mission to piece it all back together. They still fit and as the memories come, so does the healing. As the answers are given the understanding dawns. After the music stops they are still and the loss becomes minor because now their love and being together is the only major thing that matters.
I love these two writers. They bring out the best in each other and this series is proof. Their characters take your heart and strum a tune that is full of beauty and wonder. They do it well. They heal the hearts and make the story come alive. Wonderful heart worthy read.
Be still my heart! What a crushingly beautiful love story in this continuation of Ridley and Reagan’s romance. A terrific follow up to the first book as we witness the emotional journey of our couple to the finale. Their love is all consuming as they fight to get their HEA. There are tears and laughs and drama and more tears along so much love. This is a winning writing duo that created fantastic characters that propels this wonderfully written love story to spectacular heights. I love the great family and friends aspect of the story and look forward to Linc’s story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
Loss in A Major by Mindy Michele a five-star read that you will grieve when its over. This is the second book in the backroads duet and you do need to read Love in C Minor first as they complement each other so well, I can honestly say I got so happy when I saw a post by the authors saying there will be stand alone stories that tell the backroads stories as this duet has been one of the best the characters will make you fall in love with them, but be warned they will also make you cry big ugly tears that will ruin your make up and you will honestly love the story so much more. Rea-gun and Rid are all grown up in this episode, but just because they are grown doesn’t mean that they behave like adults. They say god doesn’t thrown more at us than we can deal with, but I wondered with this series, the characters go through so much, but they come out fighting down but not out. This story will move you and I can’t recommend this duet highly enough.
A beautiful ending to Reagan and Ridley’s story! With the way the first book ended, I needed to know what would happen. Hearing the fallout from that fateful night from each of their points of view was very satisfying.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story and would love to hear more from this writing duo, Mindy Michele.
The narrator, Starla Huchton, did a great job, and I would not hesitate to listen to more of her performances.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
