I absolutely love books about vampires and angels.
Who’s good? Who’s evil?
This one looks like it’s full of plot twists – I can’t wait to read it!
Great start to a series. It is a little slower paced, but the details that make it so are wonderful and make the story very rich. And the story is great once it gets really started so it is well worth reading even if you’re not a big fan of all the details added in.
It’s definitely a different take on Vampires and even Angels. And I’m an absolute sucker for stories set in London. What I can appreciate the most is how the story was in a constant state of moving forward. I got to the end and needed more!! I discovered so much in this world that I’m sure I’ll find more in the next!! I’d recommend this to any Paranormal Romance reader looking for an awesome read.
This is my honest and unbias opinion of the story. This is a wonderful story to read , it has very strong characters and a wonderful story line. This is book 1 in the series and I am so glad I read it . I highly recommend this book to all and if you buy it you will not be disappoint at all I promise you will love it.
Just shy of a 4 star
This was a bit of a different direction for Rosemary A Johns and I really liked the idea of the story as well a lot of the elements of it, I did find there were times were I felt there may have been a bit too much detail or inconsequential information but it did not detract from the over all book. Once we got more into what was happening around town knowing there were a lot of things out there that go bump in the night as well other societies that are fighting one another and seeing themselves as the saviors it gets really interesting! There are some great characters that you will love as well as others you will hate, while others that you never know which side they are really on. When the 2 main families come together boy oh boy do people show their real colors!!
I can’t decide if I really likes this, or really would pass on it. The story of Violet was scary, pitiful, and downright cool!. Upon turning 21, that’s exactly what happens…she turns. She just doesn’t know what she turns into. With “help” from J., Rebel, Ash, and 2 blood familiar foxes, Violet has to learn the hard way what she is, what she can do, and where she is actually from. Witches, vampires, angels, Fallen, and Pure all combine to try and capture or kill Violet before she finds out what she truly is. Really, my major problem was not with the story, but with the dialog. The story is told from Violet’s view point, and the British slang, street terms, and generally strange way of expressing oneself gave me problems trying to figure out what was being said. Guess it’s a generational thing since I am WAYYYY past my young adult years. I think I want to read the next book in the story line just to find out what exactly happens, and that’s what an author really wants, right?!?
I received an ARC of this book and am posting a review because I want to!
