Cricket is used to relying on no one but herself. Working two jobs to get through nursing school, she has no time for anything but studying and paying the bills. When three hot cowboys give her a night to remember, she believes it’s just that. One night. For Sutton, Archer and Lee, Cricket’s the one who got away. Hell, she’s The One. Period. When fate puts her back in their arms, they’ll stop at … they’ll stop at nothing to keep her.
This is book three in the Steele Ranch series. If you like hot cowboys, you (and Cricket) get three in this one. They’re hot, they know exactly what they want and nothing will stand in their way. A standalone read, this is MFMM—it’s all about the heroine.

This book was originally titled Roped on initial release, but was renamed Tangled. Vale gives us another amazing menage story based on the long lost daughters of Steele Ranch that have been called to claim their fortune. This is the third book in the series, but can be read alone.
Cricket has worked hard to get where she is in life, but she can’t seem to forget one incredible night spent after the rodeo a year ago. She left in order to pursue her dreams, but she never forgot the amazing night she spent with three cowboys. How fortunate for her when she ventures to Steele Ranck to claim her new fortune, here cowboys are waiting for her. No to find out if they just want another romp in the hay or if they will give her the home she has so desperately wanted.
Vanessa Vale brings a hot, sweaty, sexy story that will definitely have you reaching for a fan while reading.
Holy Moly!
I have no idea where to start. This book was off the charts with hotness. I was hooked from the very begging. Vanessa Vale has quickly became on of my favorite authors. I am so in love with this series. I was in love with Lee, Sutton, and Archer right away. My heart broke for Cricket every time Sutton left at night. I just thought two hot cowboys was hot. But dang three was of the charts. These threes chemistry was off the charts. I could not put this book down. This book drew me in and wouldn’t let me go. This is a must read!
I absolutely loved it and i would definitely recommend it.
Cricket borrowed money from a loan shark, and now, she is paying the price.
On the run, she is stopped for speeding.
Archer can’t believe that he found Cricket after all this time.
He could never forget the one night he had shared Cricket w/ Sutton + Lee.
Now she is in front of him.
This time they will not let her escape so easily.
She doesn’t know yet, but she belong to the three of them.
The storytelling + the character’s build were awesome!
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
Christina Cricket Johnson is a hard working nursing student, who just happens to enjoy a bit of fun when she can get it. A year ago, she had an amazing weekend with three hot cowboys at a rodeo, but since then reality in the form of school and two jobs has ruled her world. When she’s forced to take out a loan from a loan shark to pay her tuition, Cricket finds herself in one heck of a jam when he comes trying to collect “interest” in the form of her stripping at his club. She barely escapes and finds herself heading towards the Steele Ranch she’s just found out she’s inherited as one of Aiden Steele’s daughters.
When Sherriff Archer Wade pulls over the gorgeous young woman who is speeding, he immediately realizes two things. One, she’s afraid of something and two, she’s the woman that he and his best friends hooked up with last year at the rodeo. He recognizes her nickname, but she has no idea who he is since the room had been pitch black to help her explore her fantasy.
When she asks to be arrested, he knows she’s in trouble and immediately calls in for backup in the form of Lee and Sutton. And, now that these cowboys have her back, they plan on taking care of all of her troubles and never letting her go!
I’m a fan of Vanessa Vale’s Steel Ranch series, especially since each book seems to get better and better! I really love how smart and independent Cricket was. She’s a hard worker and knows what she wants out of life. I also love that when she realized she had people willing to share her burdens with her, that she let them. She’s not a pushover, however, and gives just as good as she gets . . .when Sutton tried to keep himself apart due to baggage he has from his time in the military, Cricket doesn’t stand for it and is willing to fight for all three of her men!
Archer, Sutton and Lee combined really want to offer Cricket all they are and all they have. Each is very different personality wise and I loved watching how those traits play off one another and make sure that Cricket has all she needs to be safe and happy. And, I do have to say, while all the men are pure Alpha and all cowboy, I have a soft spot for Jamison!
While part of a series, Tangled can easily be read as a standalone. I can almost guarantee, however that you’ll want to go back and pick up the other books in the series. Tangled has plenty of heat and suspense and makes for a fantastic story! 4.5 stars
Cricket is the heroine in this story, she gets all tangled up with three hot cowboys. Sutton has Cricket in a hotel room, they had a quick, hot connection when they met at the rodeo, then after talking about their wishes and secret desires, Cricket confessed that she fantacized about bedding three men at once, so Sutton calls his two best friends to fulfill Cricket’s fantasy. The foursome have one night together and it blows their minds but Cricket wasn’t there the next morning. The men are all
disappointed as they felt there was much more to their night with Cricket but would never get a chance to find out if she truely was The One for them. They never got her full name or phone number and could not find her even though Archer was a cop, he failed at finding Cricket too. A year later, Cricket is in trouble, she took a loan from a sleezebag named Schmidt and although she paid him back, with interest, he is demanding more. Schmidt had Cricket abducted from her apartment and was trying to force her to strip and more, to pay back her so called debt to him. Cricket escapes and takes off in her car and next thing we know, she is on her way to Steel Ranch where she was told she owned it along with 4 other half sisters and a father none of them knew about either. She is pulled over for
speeding and Archer is the cop on duty when he discovers her name is Cricket. He calls Sutton right away and verifies she is The One that got away a year ago. Lee the third man Cricket bedded last year is at the ranch along with Sutton when Archer drives Cricket to Steel Ranch and all four of them are reunited. None of their feelings have waned, Cricket, Sutton, Archer and Lee resume their sexual attraction to each other and it’s one hot sexfest after another, they really are hot together and feel the easy, but sexual connection stronger than ever. Of course there are problems, Sutton has a past riddled with bad memories and nightmares, so he leaves Cricket every night, but in the care of Lee and Archer. Cricket has her nursing school to finish and Schmidt rears his ugly head again. In all, when it comes down to it, the foursome really do love each other and her men will protect and defend their lady. This is the third sister’s story and we have two more to meet in future books. I can’t wait to read about them, each sister has her own unique background and meets the men that will complete their lives, usually in a menage relationship. Good Reading Folks!
I received a free copy of this book from the author.
Tangled, formerly titled Roped, is more than a menage. It’s a quad. This Steele sister, Cricket, met Sutton, Archer, and Lee over a year ago at a rodeo and had one wild night. Presently she’s running from some bad people and just so happen to run to the three men at Steele Ranch.
Sutton can’t believe his/their woman has appeared – and is a Steele sister. What luck! Only not so much luck for Cricket. There’s some bad guys after her and the men just want to protect her. Well…not only protect her. These three keep her very busy, that’s for sure.
If you love novels with quite a bit of sexy time this one is definitely for you! As usual this read really quickly for me. Vanessa Vale’s books always seem to fly by when I’m reading them. There is no m/m action in this story it is all focused on their Cricket. Some might say she’s one lucky woman.
