A departure from the average vampire myth. The explanations seemed to drag. I almost deleted the book without finishing it.
I found this book to be a little slow at times, but was able to finish it. I probably will not read the sequels. This book may or may not catch your interest – but if you like vampire works, it is worth a try.

This book was hard to follow and seemed to be wordy without really saying anything. It was like when you had an essay due in school and had to hit a certain word count. I read it, thought it had some potential but ultimately won’t be looking for the rest of the books,
