Until the secret comes back to haunt them…thirty years later.Jack, Matt, Cassie, and Lisa are four friends growing up on “The Edge”, a cul-de-sac in the 80s. It is their unbreakable friendship with each other that prevents them from falling apart. Until the one night when tragedy is set forth into motion by their actions, leaving one of the four dead…and missing. The remaining three swear to never speak of that night again…or to each other. They go their separate ways, hoping to bury their mistakes and the past.
Thirty years later, one of the friends gets an ominous message. Someone is digging into their past and threatening to expose their secret. Who is it and what do they really want? Is their secret the only thing that isn’t safe, or are their lives in danger, too?

I enjoyed this book and was kept guessing until the end! My only complaint is that one of the female characters was just awful. I didn’t like or sympathize with her in the slightest and she still got the happily ever after that I felt belonged to the other girl.
Excellent plot line. As a personal choice I don`t care for a story to jump from the then and now. Never the less, it kept my attention throughout.
It was an interesting relationship between the four friends. Jack`s love/ hate relationship with his father unfolding was also a twist, although probably not too far off the mark in reality.
Book was similar to others and there have been a few movies that it reminded me of, The Dark, The Five.
I didn’t really like. Story is nit realistic.
A fast read because I couldn’t put it down with an unexpected ending!
It was a good story; just a little confusing at times with going back and forth from past to present.
I feel it is appealing to younger readers, late teens and up. Not so much for older readers.
Definitely one I couldn’t put down. Highly recommend
I liked the story. It kept me guessing and kept me turning the page.
Couldn’t put it down.
It was ok. I didn’t like the constant jumping forward and backward . I felt annoyed and manipulated by the author throughout the book. To give the author credit, I can’t think of a better way to tell this story except to tell me right away who died.
Ut felt like I was reading a book intended for teens not adults so I did not make it past the first 10%.
The inner workings of the individuals Minds was very realistic and very entertaining. it was typical of teenagers and even as adults the inner insecurities worst well-defined and something most people could identify with. I with found the book an easy read.
I liked it until the ending. I thought that it was misleading rather than a surprise.
Friends from the edge was ok. It seemed a bit underdeveloped and the end seemed improbable. The author is a giant fan of the pronoun game, which I found annoying. That being said, it was a quick read.
I enjoyed this book. It went from past to present day easily, which can sometimes be a difficult task. It lasted just a bit too long for me since I figured out the ending. It would ‘t have happened if it had wound up sooner.
Does anyone proofread any more? In spite of all the typos, I couuldn’t put this book down until I finished it. Thanks for sush a great read!
A well written thinker… you’ll be thinking about it long after you close the final page.
Interesting read with a twist to the ending. The characters were interesting and were fairly well developed. The book definitely held my interest and was a quick read for me. I have never read anything by this author before but would definitely consider reading something by her again.
