A great read from beginning to end.
I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway.
This is about a young girl who was kidnapped by a serial killer couple who murdered her mother and then raised her to eventually follow in their footsteps. She lives with them for seven years, but is rescued when the secluded farm they lived on was raided and Charlotte is set free and goes to home to her remaining family. Then she is in the media because her dad knew this was a story they won’t let go of. Finally she ends up in Arizona, where she enjoys solitude and tranquility after growing up in the public eye. Charlotte’s life ends up being completely nutty when she is dosed up with an experimental drug, giving her superhuman strength and healing properties. Dude this story was all kinds of crazy. I’m not sure how I feel about this book. I wanted more from it.
Bone Music is the newest from Christopher and it’s an interesting mix of Serial Killer and SciFi.
Charlotte is going through a lot and trying to deal with the aftermath of who her parents were. Then dealing with what she believes is a stalker. She is then thrown into something else, that can be understandable difficult to deal with. This story had some great character development and I can tell that the author really took his time with it. But for me it was very difficult to get into the story at his fullest. I just have a hard time reading in the third person, I feel with third person I can’t really connect with the characters on a personal and emotional level. Which as a reviewer is very important to me. I feel like I’m the outside looking in. Not to say that no one will enjoy and love this book.
Overall, I have to give this Two Boundless Stars. It was ok, but I feel it could have been better.
I loved this book. Great storytelling! I can’t wait for the second book to be released. I’ve already pre-ordered it. I enjoyed getting to know the different characters and am looking forward to learning more about them. I highly recommend this book
Didn’t finish book did not finish and deleted from my list.
Not really like the Steig Larsson series, which is why I read it, but tightly written and not so science fictiony as to be implausible.
While I don’t normally read strange books with other-worldly plots, this book kept me entranced. I loved the fast-paced account of a tragedy,, unexpected twists and turns. Well-done.
