Twenty-year-old MacKenzie’s life has changed quite a bit since the day Jed Whistler took her over his knee and spanked her bare bottom soundly for stealing his wallet. The handsome, firm-handed Texan rancher is now her fiancé, and his loving guidance and strict correction have helped ensure that MacKenzie’s pick-pocketing days are over. But as she prepares for her upcoming wedding, MacKenzie finds … MacKenzie finds herself worrying that Jed is being pursued by another woman. To make matters worse, an expensive piece of jewelry is stolen from Jed’s sister, and the circumstances make it seem like MacKenzie is to blame. Certain that Jed will be furious and end their engagement, she runs away rather than face him.
Returning home to New York, she takes a job at a nightclub and tries to start over, but despite her best efforts MacKenzie cannot forget her handsome cowboy. Has she lost him forever, or will Jed track down his runaway bride and bring her back to Texas with a bright red bottom?

WICKED—NAUGHTY—AND TOTALLY DELICIOUS
I enjoyed this story that is a continuation of the saga from Tamed by the Rancher where we met Texas rancher, Jed Whistler when McKenzie pick-pocketed him in the Five Points area of New York. In this new story, Jed and McKenzie are engaged and planning their wedding but have a trip planned to New Orleans to see Jed’s sister, Alice and her husband, Freddy. The humor in this story will be Missy, the maid of McKenzie who whines and complains often. The story will be a journey, and there will be the good, the bad, the ugly, and more along the way.
Arriving in New Orleans will have their excitement of the trip dampened by old acquaintances, siblings, Blanche and Rex Hamilton. Blanche is forever getting her digs in about McKenzie former life and insinuating a past between her and Jed. Sadly Alice shared McKenzie story, and now the Hamiltons won’t let it go, but then again, it may be because it works in their favor.
The story will have lies, backbiting, deceit, false accusations, plenty of angst, and hurt feelings. It will have McKenzie accused of stealing from Alice, and in the heat of harsh words and anger she will leave for town and board a train to get away. While Jed is beside himself, a little investigation will help clean up a situation, but now he must find his wayward fiancée, and she could be anywhere.
What happens when McKenzie shows up in Five Points but is so out of place? Her only real friend, Finn, will come to her aid and help her locate a respectable place to stay, even if the landlady is a strange one. She will even land herself a respectable job as a waitress in a club. While Jed follows her to New York, he sees her but doesn’t approach her and just assumes the worse and leaves. What will it take for him to wake up and go get his girl? What a journey each will go through before they reunite.
“God, how he loved this woman. She was everything; his soulmate, the female part of himself. Apart, they were incomplete, but together they become one who person. He doubted there was another woman in the world who would respond to him like this; who he wanted to respond to him in this way.”
The story will have both Jed and McKenzie missing each other, and finally, he will listen to his sister telling him what a fool he is and going after her. Once he lets her explain what she has done, where she has lived, and about her friend that is like a brother, Finn, Jed will realize that she never betrayed him.
“Wherever this road took them, whatever lay ahead, she would never doubt that he loved her again.”
There is a great chemistry between Jed and McKenzie, and she thrives on his dominance and discipline. The story has many spanking scenes, exhibition, female domination with a caning, anal play, bondage, power-play in this D/s relationship. The story does end on a happy note, and some people get their comeuppance, and other’s prove to be very forgiving.
“It was a game, a glorious game, where he always played the master, and she the willing servant. But there were no losers in this game. Only winners. A game she wanted to play forever and ever, and then some.”
Loved it, great read. I would definitely recommend it.
