What a rollercoaster of emotions Free to Breathe was. As usual with anything this lady writes I was smitten from the very first page. Noah and Maggie had a connection that some people only dream about both were hurting in different ways but maybe if they gave themselves a chance they could be the ones to heal each other.
Noah Haxby is a manufactured rockstar he was lead by his management company and definitely wasn’t given the right advice within the industry and his private life leading him on the slippery slope to alcohol abuse and depression.
Maggie Dashwood is a school teacher that has also taken on the responsibility of her adorable niece whilst her sister is off living her life as part of Noah’s bands image crew.
When Noah and Maggie are brought together under circumstances beyond their control Maggie learns you should never nudge a book by it cover and you definitely should not believe everything you read in the press. Maggie and Noah are made for each other but with secrets and lies threatening to tear them apart do they stand any chance if being happy.
This book is more romance than rockstar and I would urge everyone to grab a copy and read it, I can’t recommend it enough!!!
How would I describe this book? A beautifully written emotional roller coaster that grips you from the first page. I really don’t want to give too much away, this story is so addictive, you really need to experience the it for yourself. Maggie and Noah meets during the most devastating time of her life. A situation which she believes he is partly responsible for. Noah is the bad boy front man of a rock band, or so the media would have you believe. In reality he is the complete opposite but ends up living the life the media and his management have invented for him, a puppet in their world. A world that sees him suffer a great loss as a result. Maggie and Noahs story is full of twists and turns I just didnt see coming. I absolutely loved every word! I only wish I could give it more stars.
Maggie and Noah’s story was a beautifully written emotional rollercoaster of emotions hate, love, despair. I loved this story so much and couldn’t put it down. Maggie’s first initial thoughts of Noah are all that’s she’s read in newspapers and what other people say little does she expect the man who she gets to know. I’d highly recommend as a must read book make sure you have some tissues.
I love it. The story of Maggie and Noah puts you in roller coaster ride of emotion that make you read it again
An emotional subject based read. Varied issues keep this interesting and extremely full on which left me feeling a little raw at times, just how much pressure and angst being thrown at them can one couple take and still remain sane. Maggie not only looking after her young niece and coping with a major loss, ends up with so much more. Little Molly is a delight, not only being adorable she is bright and very intelligent, mainly due to her aunt. Her need for a “Real Daddy” nearly broke my heart, but she is also the character to give the lighter moments in all the deeply moving plot. There are many twists and turns keeping you on guard on what will happen next. I was really sobbing by the end, it tugged at my heartstrings caught me up in all the pain and anxiety that they went through and kept me there. I had a very real book hangover after reading this and had the characters in my head for the next few days, took a day before I could start another book as well. Awesome story.
Maggie meets Noah after the death of her sister and doesn’t have a high opinion of him. When Noah learns who Maggie is he offers her support in whatever way he can. Maggie has heard everything about Noah through the tabloids, but after talking with him she realises that he was nothing, but a puppet created by his management team.
Noah and Maggie have so much going on, Noah battling fighting his addictions after loosing the right to see his son and Maggie not only has lost her sister, but also become guardian of Molly, her sister’s child, Maggie tries to deny her feelings for Noah but can’t especially after the Everything Kiss. Noah knows what he wants and will do anything to prove to Maggie that they deserve their happy ending.
I loved Maggie and Noah, with everything they had thrown at them kept strong not letting the media lies touch them. They both went through heartbreak and came out on the other side with their soul mate. Although I loved Maggie and Noah, Molly was an adorable character too.
Another great rockstar romance by KL Shandwick, this time we get Noah Haxby and Maggie Dashwood, the rockstar and the teacher. The broken rockstar is now fighting alcohol and depression, but some circumstances put them in the same path, will he destroy her, or will she save him? Find more of this beautiful romance story, where nothing is like you see.
With constant challenges to their growing relationship, Maggie and Noah have their work cut out for them. Apparently, Shona was just a fanatic. I love how Noah grew in light of it all. This book made me sad, happy, and every emotion in between. Great story.
Well…. that was a different kind of book by KL
I have totally and utterly loved every other book of hers I have read, however this one, not so much.
It was a very slow story. I found it was easy to put down and pick up later.
I was not wrapped up in it and needing to keep flipping pages to find out how it was going.
It was a definite change of pace from the style I am used to.
It was a nice story, but there was no spark there for me with this.
