This book was previously published in Amazon Kindle WorldsForce Protection on the Move Jesse “Flint” McCoy spent the year since he left the SEAL teams building a security business with his former teammate and best friend Cannon. They’re a private operation, and they don’t advertise. Though they prefer overseas missions, they take the occasional domestic assignment—such as when an old friend … domestic assignment—such as when an old friend calls because he’s worried his sister might be in over her head…what’s a good buddy to do?
If it bleeds, it leads.
Digging into a piece on stolen valor, the last thing news producer Gertrude Wagner expected was to become the story. What began with a suspicious social media profile and a stray bullet sends her running for cover and right into the arms of her brother’s best friend—the sailor who broke her heart.
Guarding Gertrude is more than a favor for Flint, it’s his duty and honor.

Fast, action-packed read.
While I enjoyed this book, I got a bit lost in some of the two main characters’ television references. To the point where I felt like I was the odd man out, sitting at a table with a couple of people who attended the same college or grew up together. They were all talking about people and things I had no clue about. And since the show wasn’t named I wasn’t able to check it out for reference. I was glad I was reading this on my Kindle app so I could pull up the definition of a few words I had never heard before.
The characters I liked, the action was good, and the story fast-paced. But I wish there was more.
Another great read from Heather. Flint is retired from the military and opens a private security service with his best friend and former team mate Conner. Flint left unfinished busisness behind and win a friend of his (former girlfriends brother) asks for his help to protect her, he can’t refuse. Gerty has turned into a force to be reckoned with as a news producer, but forgiving Flint even if it was to keep someone from killing her, not so much. A must read u can’t miss.
Jesse “Flint” McCoy left Trudy behind when he joined the Navy. He wanted to give his career 100% and he couldn’t do that and be the best boyfriend for Trudy. He is still friends with her brother and he has kept up to date for the most part on her life. But when he gets a call from Ned that she is in trouble he drops everything. Just as well cos no sooner has he tracked her down than her car is blown up, her apartment ransacked and they are on the run!
Gertrude (Trudy) took a long time to get over Flint. Not many men have measured up since but her life is just fine thank you very much. She is hot on the trial of a story but even she has to finally admit that she is in the crosshairs of someone out to get her! She may reluctantly accept Flint’s help but there is no way she is letting him back into her life.
Fab story. 2nd time around love and both have now grown up. You just know that if they had stayed together back then, they wouldn’t have survived the joint pull of both their careers. Trudy and her BFF are a force to be reckoned with! Ned, naughty, naughty boy! Just what secrets are you keeping???
The brilliant rapport between Flint and Trudy, including all the in jokes about Supernatural and who is the best brother, etc were a great comic relief to all the action.
After a fun day with a bunch of pals, that includes Tex, Liam aka ‘Angel’ and his business partner Cannon, Jessie ‘Flint’ McCoy gets a call from his Navy pal Ned. He doesn’t hesitate to takes the assignment to protect Gertrude, even though they have a history and it won’t be easy.
Gertrude ‘Trudi’ and her friend Veronica, run a TV news magazine. They are good at what they do and always check the facts. It’s one of those investigations into the facts that now has her in danger.
When Trudi’s Jeep goes BOOM, it takes more than a little coercion, on Flint and Ronnie’s part, for Trudi to agree to get out of town. She does go, she fumes, but doesn’t argue further as proof of the danger reveals itself.
I loved the references to Supernatural and it was great seeing Tex and Angel. Cannon is a pistol, and I really hope we get to see more of him soon.
Plenty of hold your breath action, tear causing revelations, giggles and smoldering love combine to make this a page turning read.
