adore Harmony Raines writing. She writes story that suck you in and make you feel what the characters in the story feel.
In this one Julian is a bear shifter who lost his mate well over twenty years ago. He saw her across the street and as he was crossing to talk to her she turned. She held a bouquet of forget-me-nots and was very pregnant. A man ran up to her and asked her if she was ready. Julian then followed them as they went to the courthouse and married. He wanted her to be happy, so he never talked to her. He watched over her for a couple years then left. He threw himself into building a hotel and named it the Catherine after her.
Cath came to Bear Creek to see her son Liam, and to help with his wedding. Her so called mate left her alone to raise her boys herself and she swore she would never get involved with a man again. But when fate intervenes and they meet face to face, things are about to change.
I love the fact that they got their second chance at love. There is an underlying mystery going on in this book too. Along with a few things that got resolved. Can’t wait to read more. Whose book is next? Is it Adam, Hector, Sandra? Or someone we haven’t met yet? I guess I will have to be patient to find out.
I recommend any of Harmony’s books in this series. (

I really liked this second chance romance between Julius and Cath and thought they were great together. Just when things are finally working out for Julius and Cath, her ex-husband Hector who left over 25 years ago with only a note as goodbye saying that she basically belongs to someone else as he’d seen Julius and knew that he’d made a mistake telling Cath that they were Mates as they weren’t and Hector recognised the look in Julius’s eyes knowing that him and Cath were Mates, thinking that if he left he allowed her and Julius to be together but little did Hector know that, that was the last time Julius checked in on Cath as he only wanted to see her be happy and didn’t want to get in the way and it was too painful to see her with another man. Julius walks in on Hector kissing Cath and thinks that he actually is cursed. He walks straight back out of the store as he started seeing red so didn’t want to cause a scene for either Cath or Liam. Cath chases after him and they go up the Mountain so Julius can let his Bear out so he let off his steam and can calm down before going back to the store to see if Liam is okay with having his father back in his life after all this time. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I’d recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
attempted to read twice, lost me at chapter 4
Loss, anger, angst, love and hope swirl together in this tale of misunderstandings. Excellent, and with many other aspects as well. No spoilers here, just go ahead and enjoy!
