I fell for Rafe in Deep. Mr. Protective got his damsel in distress. And now he’s fallen for her. She’s stolen from him and returned with the goods. Only he still has no idea who she really is!
Diana’s got moxie!! She suits Rafe! She is not going to sit back and do nothing. She’s going to go after her brothers herself! And, of course, not let Rafe in on the plan.
He’s got everything he ever wanted in Diana. He has a future and happiness and a piece of himself he wasn’t sure he’d ever have.
Love the last chapter HEA!
So Deeper is the second part of The riveting “Deep duet” by M. Malone and Nana Malone.
And after where we left this I have been gagging to get stuck right back into this enthralling story and I just have to say Deeper certainly didn’t disappoint, it just keeps getting better and better.
So we start back off here exactly where Deep left us with Diana on the move along with that ever so revealing flash-drive and with Rafe not far behind in hot pursuit.
and Instead of being in self-preservation mode after realising Dianna has lied to and used him all he can think about is her safety.
Which is just so heart-stirringly hot.
Rafe just comes across as such an absolute keeper, I actually loved him even more here, there’s just something so very sexy about a man who is willing to lay his feeling so bare, leaving himself completely vulnerable and open.
I must admit though, I am bloody glad he has finally woken up and smelt the coffee and realised Dianna is not quite what she actually appears maybe now they can start to move forward in regards to trusting each other.
I hope also that Diana realises just how lucky she is that Rafe was prepared to give her a second chance.
So I would love to say that the evasions of truth are so over, but this is Dianna that we are talking about and although Rafe seems more than willing to lay all his cards on the table now, Dianna herself doesn’t seem quite able yet to break the habits of a lifetime and still seems to be dragging her feet slightly in regards to full disclosure.
So right from the start here, We are thrust back into the action and this time around we also get to spend a lot more time with Rafe’s extended family, which was fabulous.
We also get to see a much softer side to Dianna, which really helped warm me up to her.
I think I got a bit more of an insight here into what actually makes her tick and why she can come across as a bit cold at times.
I am also very pleased to say that the disconnect I was feeling in “Deep” is no more, I can now feel Dianna and Rafe’s connection, so all’s good on that front too.
what else, well we also get to experience a lot much action in this instalment.
and also whereas in “Deep” I would say there was more sex, less talk, in “Deeper it was, in my opinion, the opposite which really helped me to get more of a feel for our pair’s dynamics.
So I think that about wraps this one up. I found Deeper a great read that kept my interest right till its satisfying conclusion and I would be happy to recommend this well-written duet.
I received an arc of Deeper of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

This is the conclusion to Rafe and Diana’s story. I absolutely love Rafe, have been dying for his story since the very beginning of the Shameless series. But, as much as I love Rafe and his backstory, I so wish he had been given an equally loveable match. Diana is not, in any way, equal or worthy of Rafe. But, because he loves her, she gets a pass from me.
Deeper picks up where Deep left off. Diana has taken off and Rafe is angry, but still loves her so much. She’s gotten new info and just may be rethinking her view on Rafe. Can I just say, DUH!!! I wanted to smack her more than once because it was obvious she either had misinformation or she was just plain stupid. I’d say both. Anyway, she makes her way back to Rafe, who’s still angry at her, but because he loves her, he’s determined to protect her because that’s how he is – he protects those whom he loves, period. If only Diana had been as honorable as Rafe.
Thank you Malones squared for Rafe’s story. It’s like its predecessors – sexy and suspenseful with strong characters who share a passionate bond. Though I wish Diana had been as lovable as Rafe, I can get beyond it because I love Rafe so much. And because the whole crew is along for the ride. I can’t wait for more!!!
I enjoyed the finale of this duet. It was nitty gritty at times and a little over the top at others. Once Rafe knows the story behind Diana, he is balls to the wall determined to make her his. The way he goes about it is the reason to read.
Diana is determined to protect Rafe regardless of what it costs her. Will Rafe stand for it? Read on to find out how their story concludes.
WOW! The Deep Duet is an edgy, beautifully constructed thrill ride. I was hooked with Deep, now Deeper brings us more into the this action packed duet by the duo of Nana and M Malone. Be prepared for a fast paced, edge of your seat thrill ride!!
Make sure you read Deep first cause you definitely need that back story, and Deeper picks up right where Deep ends. Diana has left Rafe, and he’s left chasing her. But boy oh boy to Nana and M know how to throw some HUGE surprises along the way!!!
Secrets and lies are laid bare, can they be overcome?
Gah, could Rafe be any more sexier. He’s everything I LOVE in my alpha males. I ADORE him. Definitely swoon worthy! Plus his love for Diana is beautiful!
Diana is a strong, fierce woman. She has overcome a lot, with a lot more being uncovered here. Just when she thinks she has nowhere to turn, Rafe is once again there for here.
The chemistry, the insta-love, the mystery, and suspense in this duet make it a page turner, that I couldn’t put down. Nana and M know how to construct PERFECTION!!! I can’t wait to see what this duo gives us next!!
Deeper is the conclusion of the Deep Duet and if you haven’t read the first book do so, before reading this one, these books aren’t standalones. The first book ends with a huge cliffhanger and this book starts off at the gate, running at a furious pace, to a very satisfying conclusion. In Deeper we find some really scary secondary characters, and it’s action-packed, so get ready to take a wild ride.
Rafe discovers Diana’s gone. And she took some very dangerous things that belong to him, things that should’ve remained hidden and he really needs them back. It’s a matter of life or death, for Diana, if the wrong people were to find out what was in her possession. Rafe isn’t the only one looking for her, and it’s a question of who finds her first, so she really needs to keep a careful step ahead of everyone. He only wants to keep her safe; Rafe wasn’t kidding when he told Diana she belonged to him. He just wants her back, whoever she is and, despite the lies she told him.
Diana’s regretting the decision of taking everything that was in Rafe’s safe. Obviously the one thing she wanted and had been looking for, that belonged to her, wasn’t in the safe. If he didn’t have it then where could it be, and how could she get it back? When Diana discovers how dangerous the information she stole, and now has in her possession is, she knows she has to return it to Rafe. Diana knows it’s damaging and what it could mean if it landed in the wrong hands. Not to mention she’s been riddled by second thoughts about Rafe, despite what she saw him do to her father, she’s got some very strong feelings for him. She’s afraid she’s ruined any chance she had with him, by lying about who she was, and what she did to him.
“I betrayed him. I lied to him. He introduced me to his family, and they were kind and open. With my running around, they’re in jeopardy. He’s not going to let that go. Believe me, he’s the kind of person that will put his feelings for me aside. If he had any to begin with.”
If only Diana wasn’t so wrong about so many things. The story moves at a fast pace, it kept me glued to my seat, waiting for the other shoe to drop at any moment and without warning. A lot of unexpected secrets are revealed. There’s an amazing and surprising twist added to the story and it will have you cheering for both Rafe and Diana. With a few new characters introduced to the story, the plot thickens; they were some really scary dudes! Not to mention I started second guessing everyone; were they a good guy, bad guy or double agents? Hmmm…you’ll just have to read to find out!
Like the first part of this duet, Deeper is a bit dark, a lot steamy, and emotional. It’s also action packed and there’s even a couple of surprises along the way. Rafe is hard as nails and unyielding except where Diana is concerned. I did have a hard time with how many things he seemed to overlook with her, but there’s a chemistry between them that is undeniable. It took me awhile to warm up to Diana, and while her actions don’t always make sense, the reasons for them do. Some of my favorite parts of this one were the interactions with the many other characters. The camaraderie between these men is obvious and their banter is often quite funny. Love them or hate them, all the characters are certainly interesting and the story is impossible to put down.
Diana has finally discerned the truth about her family and now she knows she’s is in danger but she is also putting in danger Rafe an his friends. Rafe is worried about Diana’s safety, so when she comes back he knows that he can’t let her go. They have to face together their past in order to have a future together. With Noah and his team are they going to be able to fight her family and be finally free from their past? You can’t put the book down until the end.
Rafe is a hardened operative, and Diana is a daughter bent on revenge. After the events at the end of Deep, I did not see any way that this story could have a good outcome. Lies, deceit, and betrayal never end well. However, the feelings the two had for each other were plain to see. The way that Rafe treats Diana, is just beautiful. He’s protective, and loving. And Diana would give anything for Rafe.
Like the other books in this series, this story is full of action, bad guys, spys, and so much more! It’s totally unpredictable, and there are even a few good suprises thrown in there!
This book is definitely not a stand alone, but is the second in a duet. The duet could probably be read on its own, but there are details that are carried over from the other books in the series. It is definitely better to read the Shameless trilogy and the Force duet first. It’s totally worth it!
Malone squared has become adept at setting the stage to leave readers wanting more. The Deep Duet is the latest example in their nailbiter storytelling. Deep left me at the edge of a cliff and Deeper had me diving right in. Diana and Rafe stepped into a maze of dangerous secrets. Rafe is no superhero, but like Batman his secrets run deep and his soul is quite tortured. A thirst for the truth has landed Diana in over her head. Vengeance drove her, now danger haunts her and only a ghost can save her. The tale of the dark warrior and his avenging angel is an enigma that began in lust and ended with love. A thriller from beginning to end.
After reading the prequel and enjoying it a lot. I find that I have jumped right in to Deeper part two of the duet. I love Rafe even more than I did when I read part one. I am still a bit on the fence about Diana. I not sure if I want to be her, choke her, beat her, or just be her friend from a distance. I had no doubts that Rafe was my hero. He was my star for the entire read. There was more in this read it took you to the title of being deeper. This one gave me the connection to the couple as a pair. It allowed for me to see more of them. I still felt more for Rafe but that was to be expected. I loved the secondary characters (aka Rafe’s family). They were a grounding point where Rafe was concerned.
This time around be prepared for more: intensity, sex, action, drama, lies . . . feelings, friends, connection.
