Emotionally thrilling, sexy, engaging and action packed adventure filled with danger, witty banter, exciting charters and heart racing twists….. a great way to spend a few hours in the summer sun relaxing. Great reading
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This book is about the planet Earth and the people on it. Earth was being used from the Dungari for the females. Synika was hiding from the Dungari with her brother and his men in the undergrounds on Earth. Tuvari was on Earth to make sure the Earth people was like them. They have been on Earth for over a hundred years. Now would be the time to get the book and find out what happen to they all. I will be get more from this author. Thank you for writing the book for us to read.
Three and a half stars. Great Story! This is my first book from this author and I am interested in reading more. Amidst the sex and violence there is a story worth reading. There IS a lot of sex and violence. Synika wants to love Tuvari, but he has so many secrets and he has manipulated her. There is also a lot of message in the book but it’s done in such a way as to not be in your face, just enough to make you think. Some of the violence, especially the sexual violence, was over the top for me which is why I gave this three stars.

Tuvari was looking out at what used to be Ohio on Earth. His mission was to learn as much about the humans as possible, to find out their strengths and weaknesses, to assess their anatomy and intelligent – and to stay out of sight for now. He was impressed with the humans’ ability to thrive even after all the devastation their planet had endured when asteroids struck and destroyed land and much of the atmosphere. He admired the curves and rounded hips of the Earth females compared to their own Dungari females who were as muscular and defined as the males. Their technology was way behind. Earth was continually repairing itself, but still very vulnerable to outside attack. The humans survived and adapted – but could their females reproduce with his people? Scanning them now, he smiled. The council would be pleased — the humans were breeders!
The Dungari showed Earth their power without harming anyone. It turns out their real plan was much more devious than death and destruction. They negotiated peace talks, kept Earth’s leaders in power, infiltrated all the governments of Earth, and asked for only one thing in return: The Choosing Ceremony. It sounded reasonable. Their females could not reproduce without birth defects. If chosen, some of the males would marry and treat the woman well, providing a stable home and safety. But others were cruel and the women ended up in the slums to be shared, used and abused! When they had a baby, the child was taken by the orphanages and indoctrinated into Dungari society.
Synika had been hidden away by her brother when she was 8 years old. But she was eventually captured. Tuvari wants to buy her as his mate. But when they reach his planet, Synika becomes a part of the cruel, sadistic Prince’s harem. Where do Tuvari’s loyalties lie? Does he love Synika enough to risk it all to save her?
The story itself has promise, but I really do dislike cruelty and aliens with no compassion for the other species they encounter. Tuvari was a likable character, however. He showed that real love is possible with his true mate and I believe he understands what it is like for the exploited and oppressed humans. With that understanding, there is hope for better treatment perhaps? Grab your copy and see if you can imagine where the course of events will take them.
Great read! Fast paced with lots of action and steam. Tuvari is everything you want in an Alpha
This is a pretty traumatic story so consider yourself warned. Our heroine escapes almost all of the abuse but no other woman in the story does. The hero and heroine do get a happy ending but it is a hard slog to get there. I absolutely love that the main bad guy gets a very fitting punishment and death is’t it (Mwahaha). I think it’s worth the read if you can get passed the trauma so enjoy.
***I decided to review an ARC of this book.***
I did not care for this story. It is just me so maybe you will like it. To me it’s the tone of the story, I can’t explain it any further. Just don’t like it. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review
This is the first book I read by this author so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. If you think this is your typical Alien Romance story, then you are wrong. Yes it has Aliens and romance, but also fighting social injustice and doing what is right. And that means there are hard choices to be made.
I liked Synika and Tuvari. Bought were strong characters, but not perfect. Which is something I always like to read about. There is a lot of action, but also some sweet and romantic moments.
