From New York Times Bestselling author, Kristen Proby, comes the first stand-alone in an all-new trilogy in her beloved Big Sky Series!Hannah Malone loves her new town. It’s been a while since I’ve read a book by this author but the story reminded me once again why I love her books and why she’s one of my favorite authors.
I loved Hannah and Brad together and the way they interacted. Can’t wait to read the next one!
Brad has been waiting to be the new Police Chief when his father is retiring and when he meets Hannah, the timing isn’t right and some circumstances get in the way for him to make a move. Now a couple of years later, they meet again and timing seems to be right. Brad makes his way into her heart and even though both have long hours to work, they seem to find a way to make it work. But will Hannah let Brad break down all her walls?..
Hmmm Brad!!!
I loved this book so much. I m a huge fan of this author. When I found out we were getting more from the Big Sky series I was so happy. It’s a great series so I knew this book was goin to be good.
Brad the sexypants police chief and Hannah the gorgeous Doctor were great main characters I loved them. Brad is so sexy and sweet. He has wanted Hannah for a long time the gorgeous red head has been in his sights so a long time. I don’t know how he waited so long cause the sexual chemistry was so hot between them, there connection was so strong they just had to be together. Brad knows what he wants and Hannah is the one. There is a few things that are a lil bit complicated between them. But Brad deals with them so well helping Hannah feel more at ease is just what she needs. They both have crazy lives but work and understand each other so well.
Hannah is a great character she is so funny in parts and she does each Brad on his toes. She has never really thought about a relationship but with Brad they just seem to fit together. Hannah does have a few worries about how Brad will deal with a few of her issues which does help her at times. But she seem to be able to deal with his help. He just makes life seem so much easier.
It’s so good to be back to Cunningham Falls. Seeing some of the other characters from Love Under the Big Sky series was so good. Like I said I really enjoyed that series. I know this series is goin to be just had good. Jenna and Max’s book I just know will be great. I m so happy that the series started with Brad and Hannah. They are such a sweet sexy couple. I really liked them through out this book. I would highly recommend this book I could get enough of it. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. Everything was just great the story the characters. Really looking forward to more.
This is a good book. I will be honest and say it wasn’t my favorite Kristen Proby book, but I will not abandon this new series. Pretty low angst (actually the angst is only from Hannah’s anxiety). Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.
Charming Hannah is a sweet and charming romance that is fairly light on angst. Hannah is an OB/GYN doctor who is a bit of a hypochondriac and also has some anxiety issues. She worries that she is just too “crazy” for anyone to have to deal with.
“You are not broken, sweetheart. You’re not a hot mess. You’re a human being, and sometimes life is just hard.”
Town sheriff Brad Hull is attracted to Hannah from the first time he had seen her, but has kept a distance until their paths really collide, then he can’t deny that she is the one for him.
“Hannah. You asked me before what helps, remember?”
“I do.”
“It’s you.” He cups my face and kisses me softly. “It’s just you.”
The audiobook narration was wonderful and I’m glad I decided to listen. The narrators really brought the characters to life for me! Charming Hannah is a feel good romance that had me swooning.
“Everything I am, and all that I have belongs to you.”
-4.5 Stars!-
One thing you can always count on when reading a Kristen Proby book is that her characters are relatable. Brad and Hannah are no different.
Brad is the hometown boy. Steady, reliable, trustworthy and it doesn’t hurt that he’s smoking hot. Recently promoted to Police Chief he’s busier than ever. He has zero time to start a relationship. That’s until he runs into Hanna.
Hannah had lived in Cunningham Falls for around 5 years. She’s an OBGYN at a very successful local practice. She’s on call all the time and hasn’t met the right person to even tempt her to slow down…even a little bit. The up side of being busy all the time is it takes her mind away from all her anxieties. If she’s hyper focused on her job all the fears are kept at bay. She battles with that little voice that exploits all her greatest fears all the time. Sometimes she beats them and sometimes…..not.
Charming Hannah was a sweet sexy romance with lots of heart. It was the kind of romance that felt like a warm blanket on a cold night…..Like hugging your husband after a long tough day. It just made me happy. That’s the kind of book I want to read.

Ruthie –
4.75 stars of Chief Sexypants in Montana!
I am so happy that this is the start of a new series, as that means lots more Cunningham Falls goodness will be emerging from Ms. Proby’s imagination. There is a goodly amount of world building in this installment which guarantees that there are plenty of people who are ripe for a romance in future books – I cannot wait!
Titles which have a double meaning are always fun and also give the author a challenge to fulfil – well it is certainly true in both senses, although maybe Brad wins in actively charming Hannah. His behaviour is truly dreamy, and the perfect foil to her anxious nature. They make a great couple and learn quickly to be open with each other, or how much better it is when they do. It is natural for Brad, who has a close and caring family, but much more complicated for Hannah.
Be prepared to pull out the tissues a few times, and you will definitely find some wonderfully funny moments too. I love that I was so involved that I could not help but react so strongly.
Great read, and now just sitting impatiently waiting for book two!

Brad is your typical good old boy. He has lived his whole life in a small community and even took over his dad’s branch of work. He is sweet and gentle with all of the people he comes in contact with, and his empathy is beyond for those he loves.
Hannah is a workaholic. She loves what she does but knows that it also takes a toll on her personal life. She has made some great friends and has come to love her community. Despite her past, which continues to create anxiety for her, she has found a way to love her life and live it.
Brad has always found Hannah attractive, but thought that she was seeing someone. When they bump into each other again, he knows that he has to take his chance. I loved watching these two figure out themselves in the beginning and then grow together once they were a couple. It was great to see how Brad was able to ground Hannah and how Hannah was able to be an ear for Brad.
These two had a beautiful dynamic and despite having some reservations about Hannah’s maturity – she seemed a little young – I really enjoyed these characters. I can’t wait to see who is getting book #2!

4 to 4.5 stars
Charming Hannah has reminded me why I love Kristen Proby’s books so much! From the relatable characters to the low drama level, from the humor to sweet heat all the way up to the hot sexy times, this book is just a wonderful and heartwarming romance.
When Hannah and Brad first meet, they definitely have chemistry but he believes she is seeing someone else so he doesn’t make a move. Fast forward three years, and he decides to take a chance when he interacts with her again. (I won’t say when he sees her again because it is a small town, but I think you get what I mean!) She can’t deny she likes “Chief Sexypants” so saying yes is a no-brainer.
As a busy OB/ Gyn doctor who is constantly on call, she is one of the few people who can understand his job as police chief. From the horrible things you can see on a daily basis to the demands of being constantly on duty regardless whether you are actually on the clock, they are uniquely suited to understanding the demands of the other’s job in addition to sharing a connection and some serious chemistry. Their biggest challenge lies in working through Hannah’s irrational fears which can be completely debilitating at times.
I love the circle of friends and family they share which happens to include some familiar faces from the Love Under the Big Sky series while introducing a few new ones too. I always have a soft spot for pets who are main characters in their own right, and Brad’s lab/ retired police dog Sadie put a smile on my face more than a few times! All in all, Charming Hannah was a wonderful few hours of reading that made my heart happy and I can’t recommend it enough!
4 Stars
I was so excited to see that Kristen Proby was returning to Cunningham Falls .I’ve previously fallen in love with her writing style, the way in which she interweaves her characters, their families, friendships lives within a series so that their stories don’t really end when you finish that final page, but continue with each additional title. Although this is the first title in the Big Sky series, it’s really a continuation of the Love Under the Big Sky series, set in Montana.
Charming Hannah is a sweet, sexy story packed full of heat, heart and humour, and features OBGYN Hannah Malone, and Chief of Police Brad Hull. This pair are characters are relate-able, realistic and endearing. Their banter is fun and flirtatious, and I loved that we get updates on several favourites who have appeared in previous titles throughout the story line as well as a few new ones.
Brad and Hannah are both incredibly career orientated, the both work in fields that are physically and psychologically demanding. Brad was born and raised in Cunningham Falls, and I was won over by his compassionate, charming, and patient nature. He’s very unassuming, sexy, sweet, loyal and strong.
Hannah on the other hand is kind of quirky, and a tad neurotic and suffers from anxiety. A relatively new transplant to Cunningham Falls with a few personal issues, and being incredibly driven and focussed on her career she doesn’t make much time for socialising.
I really enjoyed the undeniable attraction and chemistry between this pair. They have a strong connection in that they have both been impacted by what they have seen and experienced with their role within the community.
I highly recommend not only this title, but the previous titles in the Love in the Big Sky series. IF you are looking for a quick and easy read full of love, laughter, and family, this is the series for you.
If you like a light, romantic and fun book, all in one package, my first advice to you would be to get any book of Kristen Proby. Her books are romantic and sweet, without too much anguish for when you want to read a good story of a couple falling in love and dealing with divergences of life together.
Charming Hannah is the first book of a new series of it, and has it all to narrating the story of Hannah a doctor dedicated to left the past behind and Brad the dedicated police chief and protector of the city. These two are dedicated to work, but do not deny the attraction they feel and then decide to take a chance and see where their feelings would lead them.
The book is good, has a captivating story, a quick and fluid writing, but for me it was missing a little something more to me to connect with the story. Not my favorite book of this author, But still a sweet and romantic history and I hope that some characters that appeared to have your own history in brief.
Kristen Proby is an author I know, when I pick up one of her titles, I am going to enjoy it.
This title was no exception. I enjoyed the development of the relationship between Brad and Hannah, the supporting characters were present, but not overwhelming, which was nice…especially in the first in the series, as these tend to be distractingly heavy with secondary characters. I liked that they were both allowed to be successful and that their careers were respected by both of them.
There’s a strong feminist voice in a lot of Ms. Proby’s writing, and this always appeals to me. I love the idea that a strong, successful woman can also find love with a man who respects her. So often, the drama books in which the woman is successful comes from her work clashing with her personal life. And, yes, it happens in real life…but it is nice to read a title in which this is handled respectfully.
Hannah and Brad had chemistry, and appreciation for the career demands of the other, and respect. It’s hard not to be drawn into a book with all of these, and I was drawn into this one.
I enjoyed this title and I definitely recommend it. I can’t wait for the others in the series!
ARC – I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are hones
Hannah loves living in Cunningham Falls.
She is totally dedicated to her patients
Brad is the newly appointed chief of police
Both of them have jobs can require their attention any any given moment.
How can these two find time to spend with each other ?
If they want to, they will find a way.
This was such a sweet story,
It was so cute when Hannah did not know what to do during her time off.
( Of course Brad came up w/ the perfect solution. )
I loved the storytelling + the characters
The storytelling + the character’s build were awesome!
This is a snuggle book for sure. A comfy chair to sit in all awhile to be lost to the words of Kristin Proby in Charming Hannah. Proby writes wonderful romances, always providing words that capture your mind and steal your heart for the taking. Bringing you light and laughter with a touch of drama to keep the story flowing.
If you are familiar with the Love in the Big Sky books then you’ll recognize some crossover characters. I enjoyed reading about their continued lives and I am eager to experience some other ‘potential’ couples down the way.
Hannah Malone has found a home in Cunningham Falls, Montana. Even though she has been in town for only five years, she is still the ‘new kid’ per se. As a doctor in the community, she is well liked, but keeps to herself due to some struggles related to her past.
Brad Hall, Police Chief, comes from a long lineage of law enforcement and it’s ingrained to protect deep within his blood. Ever since Hannah came into town his eyes have been set on her, however, years have past without asking her out, but now he’s done waiting. He takes his chance.
As their impeccable chemistry escalate, Brad has a earning to protect Hannah from past trauma that he encounters, but can both their hearts take the heat?
A compassionate and exceedingly well tale the capitalizes on one who lives with anxiety. Proby’s words are poetic to the conditions for Hannah’s struggles. I’m impressed with her mature characters; both in professions that are challenging, but Proby pairs them very well. Be ready to be charmed through and through.
4 Stars
Brad and Hannah are both workaholics. Both are dedicated to their jobs. Both also understand the commitment their jobs have on their lives. Their story is an enjoyable, loving, and caring one. Hannah has issues with anxiety and Brad is so supportive for her. She can depend on him and lean on him whenever she needs to. They are each there for the other. They understand that their jobs take them away from each other and their time together is not taken for granted. They make time for each other but also understand when their jobs make it hard to be together. I truly enjoyed their story especially without the usual drama some stories feel they have to have. Their hectic schedules were enough to keep this story going. A great start to a new series. Cannot wait to see what the other characters have in store.
Charming Hannah is a new series starter from the Under the Big Sky Series. I haven’t read any of the other stories, and I feel it can be read as a standalone.
This is a small town romance between Hannah and Brad, two workaholics who don’t make the time to date or have relationships. I really liked Hannah. She is a doctor, she enjoys her work and is good at it, and she does an amazing job coping with anxiety (I think so many of us can relate to this). Brad is the small town hot cop that no one can seem to catch. Not only is he sweet, sexy, and very swoony at times, he is pretty fantastic with Hannah’s anxiety.
I love the setting of this book, the author really puts you in the scenes without too many details. The relationship is not too angsty, mostly sweet and sexy. There are some pretty funny scenes. I think Charming Hannah is a story that will make you feel good.
Charming Hannah is the first in a spin off series from the “Love Under The Big Sky” series. Characters from other books are mentioned, but you don’t need to know their stories to understand Charming Hannah. Me being the OCD book reader I am, I have read the previous 4 and have loved them all. Charming Hannah was no exception. ******REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS***
Hannah is an OB/Gyn in the small town of Cunningham Falls, Montana, where everybody pretty much knows everybody. She is way too busy to have a social life, or so she thinks. She finally makes time for the local police chief Brad (AKA Chief Sexypants). Brad’s schedule is just as erratic, but somehow it works. Brad and Hannah find that their attraction is off the charts and they just can’t stay away from each other.
The story itself is an easy read. Not a lot of romantic angst. My feeling of this whole series is that it is comfort food for the soul. Easy to sink into and just enjoy. One thing this story addresses that I have never come across in a book is severe anxiety disorder. Both of my daughters suffer from different degree of anxiety and neither like to talk about it. Reading about it from the sufferers point of view was a bit eye opening for me. I feel I understand it a little better. For that, I am grateful.
To end, I would definitely recommend Charming Hannah. It definitely warms you from the inside out.
You can always count on Kristen Proby to write a great romance with lots of heat & heart, and Charming Hannah is no exception!
Police chief Brad Hull, a truly good guy, is one of my favorites of her leading men. He’s strong & supportive and nothing shakes his devotion to his family, friends & town. When he reconnects with Hannah Malone, the adorably quirky doctor with anxiety issues, he finds his perfect match. Brad’s unwavering patience & kindness in dealing with Hannah’s idiosyncrasies make him even more of a catch in my eyes. Their romance was truly heartwarming!
This was a great start to the new Big Sky series and fun to reconnect with previous characters. I can’t wait to read the next books!
This was a absolutely charming book that I could not put down. Brad and Hannah are great together. Them trying to fit a relationship in with their crazy schedules. I loved the fact that Hannah had anxiety and dealt with it. The friendships that each of the characters had and relationship that brad had with his family was great. I cannot wait for the next book in this serious. Kristen Proby did not let me down with this book.
4.5 Stars for Charming Hannah, the first in a new trilogy going back to the Big Sky Series, I’m sorry to say I haven’t read that series as yet but after reading this book I will certainly be looking to find the time to read that series.
Hannah Malone moved to Cunningham Falls five years ago but she is still considered a newbie by the locals but she loves her home , the one place she finally feels settled and safe. Newly appointed police officer Brad Hull has the responsibility of keeping Cunningham Falls safe for its residents but the beautiful, funny, sassy Hannah disrupts the order and his focus. The attraction is instant and the chemistry is undeniable but when Hannah’s past catches up with her will Brad be able to not only protect her but can he protect their hearts as well…….
I’m in love with Cunningham Falls and it’s residents and I can assure you that you will love this book even if you haven’t read the series it’s a spin off from. The characters are sweet, funny and strong, this book is an easy read that I didn’t want to end or put down, looking forward to more from the residents of Cunningham Falls Montana.
Received and ARC for an honest review.
This review is on Charming Hannah by Kristen Proby and is the fifth book in the Under the Big Sky series. While it is part of a series, the book could be read as a stand alone and doesn’t have a cliffhanger.
The book starts off with a scene that originated in Falling from Jillian, when Police Officer Brad Hull notices a beautiful red headed OB/GYN- Hannah Malone, at a party hosted by friends Grace and Jacob.
Hannah Malone, OB/GYN, even though she is a work-a-holic , she is very content in her life. Always working to make sure her patients are her priority and has very little down time to date.
Brad Hull, now Chief of Police for Cunningham Falls, MT- (AKA Chief Sexypants), also spends long hours serving and protecting the community he grew up in and still loves.
Dating has been on the back burner for some time, but both Brad and Hannah both secretly wish for something more. Their chemistry together is wonderful, yet the couple faces some real life struggles that can be difficult to overcome or work though. I love that the author gives conflicts that are relatable to their readers. That these characters are strong, compassionate, loyal and loving.
This story was amazing to read. Proby is ingenious with her character development and how they interact together.
Characters from previous books in the series: Cara, Jillian, Grace, Jacob, Lauren also make appearances in this book. We also get to know Max and Jenna more in-depth and are introduced to new sexy character Drake.
If you love other Kristin Proby books, this one doesn’t disappoint. It’s a lovey addition to the series and one I highly suggest reading.
Received an ARC in return for an honest review.

Wow! I didn’t expect this book to be so emotional but as the story progresses I can’t help but be touched by the characters’ vulnerabilities and their struggles and determination to overcome adversities. It is very true what they say about not judging a book by its cover: Hannah, a confident obstetrician, is plagued by anxiety and fears. Brad, the tough police chief is also haunted by a traumatic event from childhood. Brad and Hannah help, support, and love each other through these obstacles and come out stronger and feeling more free.
I love this book so much! The characters and situations are so realistic and believable. The heartbreaking and poignant scenes were written so beautifully, you can feel all the emotions pouring out of these characters. The hospital scene particularly got to me. The romance and chemistry is still off the charts. Getting a glimpse of some of the earlier characters of the series was also a welcome bonus.
I can’t wait to be back in Cunningham Falls! Congrats Kristen for another winner!
