This is my first audiobook of Ava’s I listened to and it definitely won’t be the last ( am already on book 3 of this series haha). I remember reading part of this story a long time ago but I am glad I got this subscription so I could devour them all haha. Let me first mention about the narration. I thought Angela did a superb job on the various emotions and inflections, especially with Elizabeth and her family in the beginning. With all the horribleness in the beginning, my heartstrings were definitely be pulled in all different directions! I thought the narration really brought this story to life. I think where improvement could be made was the different accents/changes Angela could have done more with the guys. I don’t know where they all grew up (if it was all in the city that is mentioned later on in the book), but I had a tough time distinguishing between everyone. I would give narration 4/5 stars. Will definitely be adding Angela to my good narrators list
In terms of the story, I thought book 1 laid the backstory well without being too boring. I thought somethings were brushed over too quickly/didnt have enough details or explanation. I really like Elizabeth as a character. She is fierce but also vulnerable. I liked how things were starting to develop between her and some of the guys. I jumped around with who was my favorite, but I will hold judgement until I listen to more of the audiobooks haha. I definitely think this series has a lot of potential, despite it being a rocky in a couple places so far. I honestly had to keep reminding myself these characters were in college, not high school, and I am nervous what will happen with Aaron, to be honest. I think the overall premise is intriguing, especially for those who love PNR RH series. Not sure where its all going to go, but I liked book 1 enough to start right up with book 2, so that must tell you something.
4-4.5 stars from me!
Amazing
Great story and cliffhanger!?! Ugh!?! Exciting and sad at the same time. Can’t wait to see where it goes from here!!! On to the next! #HappyReading
I loved it
Book one in the RH Fated Alpha series. Okay so I am in love after reading this book. We get to meet Elizabeth who has been raised as the alpha heir for her wolf shifter clan. The problem is that she has yet to shift and time is running out for her to do so. This has created a division in the pack ranks which her family pays the ultimate price for and she has to just survive while trying to figure all the craziness out. This book has some incredible world building as the story gets started with more and more being added as we go along yet not so much that the reader gets overloaded. The book starts nice and steamy which gives me hope for the future additions. I am really looking forward to following the adventures that I know this group is about to go on as they all get to know one another while trying to learn their magic at the same time. If you enjoy paranormal reverse harem romance novels then you should really try this book. I loved so it gets 5/5 stars. My only complaint at all is that it was over too soon.
This is a little embarrassing, but I love this series.
A young woman destined to be alpha being forced to leave her pack and seek help from 4 sexy dragons.
DROOL!!!!
It is not a young adult book because of all the sexual tension, so I wouldn’t recommend this to a young girl. But if you enjoy fun adventurous reads with sexy males everywhere… pick this up.
Holy cow this is an excellent series starter for the paranormal shifter readers, and double bonus that it is a RH. This is the first book that I have read from this author but preordered the book because of what the book was about. There are several heartfelt moments in this book that make you feel sorry for Elizabeth, but she lets those moments make her stronger. This is a must read and I can not wait for the next book in the series.
Very good is all I’m going to say about this book. Ava Mason is very good at weaving her stories that I felt like I was there in that reality. So I highly recommend you read it as well as the next ones to follow.
This is Mason’s first book, and she is off to a great start. Elizabeth is an interesting lead. She hasn’t been sble to shift into her wolf form, but she is the Fated Alpha. I like how she is down to earth, and more focused on how her inability to shift could impact her clan. I’m torn on my feeling about her and her wolf boyfriend. I like that he isn’t portrayed as just an evil ex, but at the same time I kind of liked him with Elizabeth. The dragons were all hot, and I liked the different dynamic they each brought. I’m not entirely convinced they all love each other yet, or even feel as connected as I would like, but this is just the start of the series. I’m looking forward to the next book, and finding out what happens with Elizabeth and her guys.
I normally do not read shifter books since they can be a bit corny and too farfetched. However, this one pleasantly surprised me! It is very well written and not too over the top. Grabs your attention and will be making you beg for more! I cannot wait to read the rest!
