Omg I cannot wait to get to the next book, this one ended on quite a cliffhanger. I thing a lot of answers are to come about Selena. Like the first two books this one didn’t disappoint. The characters are perfect, all very different, very likable, except of course those rotten villains. The villains I think are going to come full force after our heroes. I’m off to start the next book, this one was excellent though just like the first two. So far I’d definitely recommend this series.
Probably my favorite of this series!! Amazing novel that will keep you hooked <3
absolutely amazing!! I am sucked into this world that Ms Peckham has given us,,
I can not get enough of this series
I absolutely love this series! I haven’t enjoyed reading a vampire series like this since A. M. Hudson’s Dark Secrets. The characters are real, and the author does an awesome job making you care about them. The vampires are are bad ass too…no sparkles for them. And the supposed “good guys” are sick and demented. If you think this is just another “Hunger Games” knock off, you are so wrong…..the V Games make the Hunger Games look like child’s play. This second book was even better than the first. Can’t wait for book 3!
Selena Grey won the V Games. She faced death to gain her freedom from the island. She finds herself torn between her head and her heart. The Helsings host a new game on the Isle of Lidelse. Selena’s loyalty is put to the test. Will she decide to go on or will she retreat from a life she never wanted?
Omg I thought the first book was great, this one was even better!!!! Can’t wait to open up and see how this journey ends!!! Selena going back to the island to save a v but not just any v, Varick! A v that Selena has feeling for, but what are this feelings she’s having? Meeting so many great new characters along the way and reading about their stories had me wanting more!
All I can say is WOW! I thought the first in the trilogy was great, but the 2nd is amazing!! I lived all of the action, suspence, and the tiny bits of romance! If you enjoy reading about vampires and werewolves this is a series for you!!
Wow I thought this was going to be like another game but I was wrong ..right from the start it got me and forget putting it down i drank 3 pots of coffee so I could finish this..the charter Selena is written so perfect and Hellsing well he has always been one of my favorite characters but not in this one.. I got to read more
These 3 books are one of my favorite sagas. Favorite since Book 1. Supernatural, evil and good humans. Adventure, challenges, new and old acquaintances, How evil can persons be? More than I was comfortable. Ms. Peckhan mixes courage, despair, and hope. This book made me cry. I had to stop reading a few times, worried about whom she was going to let survive. I couldn’t believe this ending and the new questions that I now have. What exactly were the Hunters? Will there be a cure for vampirism? Would vampire’s really want a cure?
A Wondrous Saga Ending
I liked that in this book and with Selena’s second round in the V Games you get more dynamic with Varick and Selena. This second book kept my interest throughout and I can’t wait to read the conclusion of the V Games part of the story!
for book 2 of V. Games: Fresh From the Grave.. I loved it…
Salena was the winner from the first V. Games.. she lost a few good friends during the first game… Now as she goes back to that dreaded island to rescue a friend… Salena goes back she realizes she must face the dreaded VanHelsings….but she has help. If you are wondering who that help is… you need to read this book… I did and loved it.. it is full of lots of surprises…
Fantastic Second Book in the V Games Series!!!
V Games: Fresh From the Grave is a fantastic second book in the V Games series! Selena is so desperate to save Varick from the Heslings (as he helped her in Book 1), that she goes back to Raskdød and gets stuck participating in another V Games held on a brand new island. Book 2 picks up perfectly where Book 1 ended and takes us on another exciting yet terrifying adventure.
I am totally addicted to these characters! Book 2 ends on the best mostly-wrapped-up cliffhanger I have ever read, meaning, there is a solid happy ending to the book, yet Caroline dangles a fantastic carrot at the end that makes me super excited to read book 3! I usually do not like cliffhangers, but Caroline’s style of cliffhangers has me satisfied yet ready for more!
If you enjoy action packed paranormal stores with a touch of romance, you’ll love this series! This book can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the entire series, in order, for maximum enjoyment.
Oh my, if you thought the island in book 1 was fraught with danger then these second games are gonna have you on the edge of your seat.
The unusual connection between Varick and Selena has her risking her life to try and save him but with the unexpected turn of events it looks like survival may not be on the cards this time !
As for the ending, WHAT !!!!!! How can you drop that bombshell and walk away ? I was NOT expecting that, so hope the next book is out soon. I desperately need answers.
Fantastic read.
Having really enjoyed the previous book you will need to read it first or you will be a bit lost; I was excited to start reading this one and I have to say I loved it. This picks up where the previous book left off.
Selena has escaped from Raskdød however, at the start she’s in the middle of the North Sea, with no fuel, no food and only static when she tries to contact the Coastguard. Unless someone comes by soon she’s going to die.
A boat sails up with a single man on board, this man who knows who she is and while Selena doesn’t know if she can trust him but really has no choice. She takes a chance and leaves with Ulvic on his catamaran. At this point she knows she has to be back to the Island to help Varick so here’s hoping! Meanwhile, back on Raskdød, Varick and Jameson have been reunited and are playing with Ignus; who is also busy making more V’s to replace the ones they lost. Some familiar faces will be present at the next V Games … read it to see who & what happens!
I was so excited to jump into book two in the V Games series. Book 1 left off on a bit of a cliffhanger and I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next.
We jump right back in and in this volume we get not only Varick and Selena’s perspectives, but some other characters as well! I love that about books like this, because it lets you delve into the minds of characters that in other formats you might only get to watch what they do. I really enjoyed the character Jameson. I feel like he is going to be a fantastic addition to the series and I am excited to see more about him in the next book.
There is so much adventure and drama going on that it’s easy to just get lost and not want to put the book down. You find yourself connecting with the characters and rooting for them in spite of all odds. Especially Selena. There are rich backgrounds that you get to see in flashbacks and you learn the inner workings of the main characters, not just what they’re going through in the now, but what has brought them to this point in their lives.
There will be another small cliffhanger, so be prepared for that, but you’ll definitely want to dive right in the day it comes out if you enjoyed book 1. If you haven’t read book 1, what are you waiting for??? It’s a paranormal Hunger Games type story that is sure to suck you in.
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.*
