Hell, yes!! Ever since KING OF CODE, I have been intrigued by the mysterious man that is Keaton Bridge. You don’t know much about him – only that he is a world class hacker working on becoming legit – apparently – and that he’s been a good friend to Taylor Harden for far more than a decade. That’s it. He’s an enigma – even more so for agent Cassie Grinstead, who knows even less about him and just assumes when she brings him in for questioning…
And still, there is this blinding undeniable attraction between them that demands attention. But giving into that pull, that feeling that the other can look right through you and see you for you and not what everyone believes you to be, what you want them to see, is dangerous. It puts everything you know and treasure in jeopardy: your career, your beliefs – even your life. They each pose some form of threat to the other which shouldn’t be disregarded so easily. And yet, they can’t seem to stay away from one another…
Keaton – I loved this complex conundrum of a man, loved to uncover the myriad of details to his personality, to where he comes from, what his intentions are and where his loyalties lie… Loved how he is willing to take high risks, wants to be with Cassie and give her what she wants and / or deserves to be happy, consequences be damned.
And Cassie… Her ambition to uncover ever hidden nook and cranny there is to Keaton was admirable. And still, she herself is hardly relinquishing all about herself.
There is no black and white here. No, it’s much more complicated than that. Enter into a world of illusions, secret codes and mind games. Nothing is ever what it appears to be.
Great attention to detail, more hacker language than I will try to ever understand which still only served to pull me deeper under this story’s spell, smart and witty banter and great multilayered characters paint a vivid world you will find yourself lost in. Ooohh, and not to forget the scorching sexiness happening! Yum!
PRINCE CHARMING might not be able to pull Taylor off his throne for me, but still has all the elements of a true CD Reiss romance – smart and complex and blisteringly hot.
I really hope there will be more of the Silicon Valley series very soon!
I had not read King of Code so I had no clue about Keaton Bridge. However, once I started reading, I instantly fell under the spell of Prince Charming. This book can certainly be enjoyed and understood as a standalone even though I quickly went and 1-clicked King of Code.
This was an exciting, complex and mysterious story of dark web crimes, espionage, layered with devilishly dirty romance!
Similar to completing a beautiful thousand piece puzzle in dim light, you have to really pay attention to get it right, and figure out some clues.
Keaton and Cassie romance was a cat and mouse game that was enjoyable but also frustrating. Cassie was sharp, funny and gave as good as she got and her strong persona was challenged with Keaton. Ahh…Keaton… full of mystery and riddles. I loved and hated him. He was sexy, funny, sweet, full of mystery and twisted mischief!
There was a certain scene where he made Cassie memorize a series of numbers for future reference.
Really Keaton??
You naughty boy!!
All I’m going to say that would have been a deal breaker for me, but you must read and decide for yourself!
Overall, I enjoyed reading this story. I enjoyed the characters’ banter and chemistry. However, there were so many twists in the plot, that for me it lost some of its believability and likability of the characters. I honestly felt like the characters were not as well developed as I hoped.
Prince Charming is another fantastic book that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It is intense, it is sexy, it is everything you could possibly hope for from CD Reiss.
Like always, CD Reiss’ writing has you captivated and on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next. She writes intelligently, making no excuses or explanations to her readers, she knows they’ll understand because they’re smart people. This book will leave you wanting more. Don’t get me wrong, it’s complete but you’ll be so immersed in the story that you won’t want to leave. Keaton and Cassie are a fantastic couple with a brilliant story. I loved them both so much. Neither are as they appear and that works so well. They’ll keep you guessing and wondering. I liked their chemistry and felt like they were a good match. The sexy times were smokin’ and suited their story perfectly. Once I started this book I just didn’t want to put it down.I will say that, for me, I thought Keaton was a little too stereotypical British, but that’s probably because I am British. I think Americans especially will fall head over heels for him.
I love this cover, it’s understated, has a sexy suited guy on the front (always a plus in my book) and having the Union flag in the background gives someone not familiar with the story an idea that the guy is British.
You don’t need to have read King of Code to enjoy this book. If you like things in order, read KoC first, Taylor and Harper (the couple in KoC) make an appearance, but it’ll also work to go back to KoC after Prince Charming and visit them for their story.
What a way to start 2018! Holy hotness, Prince Charming is everything and more!
At extreme ends of the law, Keaton, the sexy criminal and Cassie, the FBI agent are not supposed to be attracted to each other. Keaton was smitten with Cassie the moment she started to interrogate him. There was an immediate attraction between the two which they both knew would be wrong to pursue.
The push and pull, the sexual attraction and the danger was simply amazing. The way Keaton protects Cassie without telling her anything had me intrigued as to how their relationship would play out. Cassie was one phenomenal woman who was doing absolutely everything possible to walk the straight and narrow but yet keep Keaton in her life.
I was completely drawn in to Prince Charming. There are so many moments that stood out to me and I was mesmerized by the characters that I started and finished this book in one day! I could not put it down and I’m happy to say that this book left me completely satisfied with how it ended. Kudos to CD Reiss for another amazing story!
I’ve come to expect nothing but shiny, sparkling, brilliant stories from CD Reiss and she NEVER disappoints. Whenever she announces a new book, I’m eagerly awaiting like an eager kid on a Christmas Morning Gift -Opening session.
Is it time yet ?
Is it time yet?
This current book is the story of A Black Hat Hacker trying to establish an honest career and an Artful Dodger, who stole his stereo and his heart
We met Keaton Bridge in King Of Codes and I’ve been so intrigued by his layered personality and what I may discover within when I get my hands on him. I’m all heart-eyed as CD peeled away layers and let his Loving, giving, generous soul shine bright.
“Mr. Casual with a boner the size of a Glock 44. His seven O’clock eyes and smirk still drives me wild, and his dimples are Morse code for happiness. ”
Did I tell you I’m completely in love with him This stoic Brit who’s an enigma wrapped in codes for Cassie to uncover . For that to happen, she has to first resolve the conflict between her heart and her brain.
Add to the fact that they’re so opposite in their personas, lives, worlds they might as well be living on different planets !!!
“He’s as stationary and lethal as a bullet in the chamber. As perfect as a polished barrel shining in the moonlight.”
I am small and vulnerable . I am made of alarms and denials. I’m water being poured into a container shaped like him.
And they ARE on different planets. She’s above ground in the strictest corridors of Law and he’s under the earth, hiding in dark webs, doors to which could only be opened by moderator codes and Cert Kwons.
She can’t access him unless he lets her.
He can’t reach her unless she abandons her ship .
Yet Fate casually shoots a Cupid’s Arrow through their Best Laid plains !
“My relationship with Keaton is impossible to define, but it’s something. It exists. It’s a living thing, growing, changing, becoming a part of my life whether I want it or not.”
Yet there was nothing worse than having the fish on the boat and letting it slip off the deck, unless it was already in the bucket and it tipped and slid back to the sea.
She is left with nothing more than a 17 digit Alphanumeric code and a promise, or several promises in one
“No matter what happens, never, ever believe I abandoned you.
You can forget me.
I can go into the dustbin with every other man who wasn’t worth you. I don’t care.
No matter what happens, I didn’t desert you.”
This story has more to it than meets the eye. Its more of a battle against evils of the society, like Third Psyche (ominous and dangerous doesn’t even begin to cover the group’s mission) and the men and women dedicated to work behind the scenes, under the covers and in their basements to make this world a better place for common folks to live peacefully in an idyllic world with their families, dogs, Nana, have weddings with 769 roses, have babies and be real .
I loved , LOVED , L.O.V.E.D. Keaton
Did I say I LOVE HIM . Not enough perhaps. He’s all searing devouring kisses and goosebumps touches and soul consuming love making .. ** swoooooooooooonThump**
I claim him NOW , since I’ve read him first and he has hacked into my heart *sigh**
He is permanent. Even if I never told him that he was permanent, he changed the shape of my heart forever. He let me trust him, molding my heart into the shape that clicked into his like a puzzle piece. No one else will fit. He custom-made my love to fit his.
This book is THE BEST in Christine’s Hollywood and/or Black Hat Hacker series.
She sums up the entire crux of relationships in the most important of all Six words.
I’m drowning here CD ! Could this story be more perfect
Pefect’s the enemy of Good
So I’ll stick to FLAWLESS….ok Nana
Did I say I Loved Keaton!!!
5 “749-X-22-I-T-6024-L” stars
5 “An ocean cannot separate us” Stars
Warning! Total Gush-Fest Ahead
I’m utterly and completely enamored Prince Charming! This is CD Reiss at her finest! Her writing is flawless. Her characters are larger than life. This book is a masterpiece! I want to marry Keaton and have his babies!
“I want him. I want him now, and I want him in twenty years.”
Let’s start there, Keaton is perfect! From his description (tall, dark, dimples, calculating), to his mannerisms (measured and sure), and beyond, I was swept up in his wave. I knew after reading King of Code that he was the BBF for me. Mysterious, take-charge, and aloof. Those traits are my kryptonite and he has them in spades. I dare say, he’ll be the measuring stick for all my future BBFs. Yes, I love him that much!
“He’s everything. I love him, and more than anything, to the ends of the earth and the end of time.”
The writing is beyond amazing! The storyline and execution are above reproach. I feel that excellent writing and well researched plots have always been this author’s forte, but this book is on an elevated level for me. Those staples coupled with these larger than life characters — equals excellence. Sheer perfection!
I have no intentions of spoiling the plot, hence the warning about my gushy post. I can only say that this one sang to me on basic level. It spoke the hopeless romantic and the practical and pragmatic sides of me. It was an experience that I savored and I hope everyone has an experience similar my own. I was so sad to see this one end.
“My skin misses him. The waters go still again, but they crave the rippling wake of his touch.”
Highly recommended to readers who enjoy a bit of mystery and intrigue, perfect book boyfriends, and the women who love them above all else.
We met the aloof and mysterious Prince Charming in King of Code and I love how this hacker’s net unraveled…I honestly enjoyed the surprise that was Keaton Bridges.
Our two MCs circled each other like caged prize fighters, because, you know, law enforcement and criminal, but don’t assume you have this figured out. Cassie and Keaton are fun and witty and completely convinced they are all wrong, toxic, for each other, until they realize that life without the other is foggy and colorless.
I enjoyed their journey, their laugh out loud moments, the plot twists and of course, the pantry…well, where else would you go when Grandma lives with you!?
Wow, this story left me wanting more. More Keaton, more story. More CD Reiss.
Unlike most of the reviewers here, I don’t have a thing for British accents, I mean, I like them, I appreciate a good one, but being from Scotland, that makes me British and I don’t swoon like the Yanks do. LOL. I’m more into the American accents, so it’s like everything else in life. We’re never happy with what we have, like if your hair is poker straight you want it to be curly, that sort of not happy.
That being said, I freaking loved Keaton Bridge. He’s got it all going on- he’s tall, dark and ridiculously handsome. He’s got the accent, the charisma and the sexy allure, added to that, he’s dangerous and has a ton of secrets that he hides beneath a web of lies. It’s a compelling and seductive combination that rips Cassandra Grinstead from her well structures axis.
But, Keaton is more than the sum of his parts.
He’s a black hat hacker who’s set his mind on going straight. He and best friend Tyler Harden from King of Code are building a factory to produce the first quantum computer when Keaton is brought in for questioning by a couple of FBI agents who include Cassie.
Cassie is troubled by the feelings that being in Keaton’s presence stir up inside it. It’s even more alarming when she finds out he’s interested in her too leaves her floundering and questioning not just her willpower but her job. And Cassie is no angel, she has a troubled background that she wants to keep where it belongs, in the past.
When these two finally come together the chemistry was totally believable. Keaton was so compelling and demanding. He appears to have everything he wants. He’s got the money and power, but no love interest. No relationships. He didn’t want any until Cassie came into his life and now.
He can’t walk away even when he knows he should. He shouldn’t be with her never mind wanting to keep her, protect her.
Can a criminal and an FBI agent really have a HEA? Can Keaton pull one last trick out of the bag and become all Cassie ever wanted. Her Prince Charming?
