I especially liked the intrigue that surrounded the Lord and his relationship to the Queen’s welfare.
I have been enjoying the Jasmine Cottage series.
It has been a joy getting to know the ladies who have lived together in the cottage. After meeting Arabella and Grace I was excited to learn more about Daphne.
Daphne’s story begins with her friendship with the Moore sisters but her true story goes way back before then. Having survived a traumatic childhood Daphne meets and teams up with Jeremy Beckett a spy for the throne. When the two meet sparks ignite and they are drawn together.
Daphne is smart, beautiful, and resourceful which is just what Jeremy needs in order to make the lie work and find out the information he needs to save the Queen.
While on the mission Daphne and Jeremy find themself falling for each other. Can Daphne forest her past to find love and Can Jeremy trust enough to open his?
I truly love finally getting to know these two people. Maureen did a wonderful job not only telling their story but intertwining it with the other ladies. I was also impressed with how well Maureen dealt with the subject of sexual abuse. While respecting the victims she gave a voice to a survivor.
I am truly in love with the ladies of Jasmine Cottage and can not wait to delve into Lily’s story
A little more steamy than I usually like but not really risque. really good story line.
