If you like funny, fast-paced cozies, you’ll love this story. Vedam skillfully weaves romance and humor into a solid mystery plot. The two main female characters switch identities, baffling the police and creating a wonderfully-entertaining sense of suspense and humor, as the mystery of the money laundering unravels.
This was just an OK read for me. The book is more of a romance than a psychic mystery. The romance was very predictable and felt rushed. The situations were very unrealistic and the two main characters made a lot of TSTL moves. The book was short and it felt like more effort was spent on the clothes they wore than the plot. It was a quick read.
Our heroine gets visions of people needing help, but she doesn’t like to advertise that. To help her latest vision, she might possibly be a little creative with the truth, which doesn’t go well with our hero. Can they still work together to protect the innocent?
This is a clever and quirky detective mystery with a bit of the unusual (i.e. psychic) involved. The story is very well written and easy to read, resulting in time flying by and you being late to your next appointment. The characters are well developed and there is humor aplenty, which helps keep things light and entertaining. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and rather addictive read. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.
A shy psychic afraid of admitting her abilities and her best friend whose habit of spinning the truth to protect her friend, cause mayhem trying to save a little girl. A feel good story with threads of humor and romance.

A psychic cozy adventure.
Meet Rose Devlin and her business partner Sage Tanton they are on the case with this new series by Shereen Vedam. It all starts with a skunk, visions, and child in need of help. There is also a little lie to police and you know that is not going to go well. This was a wonderful mix of mystery, romance, and humor that was so entertaining I could not put the book down. I look forward to more adventures from these characters.

Both women want to help but without revealing Sage’s secret which how the lies start. When the hunk known as Nathan finds money in the stuffed skunk he smells a money-laundering scam and now must find dome answers fast. When Nathan and Rose meet again the story picks up in overdrive. Trust is such a small word, but it’s such a hard thing to do and earn if you’ve been betrayed. While this book is a psychic cozy romance, I’d have to say it’s more about trust…and growing as a person. I truly loved it!

Great story. I enjoyed reading it very much. From the beginning to end. I did not get bored as with other books
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Rose was a delightful character that loved and protected deeply. There were times in which I wanted another character to smack Rose in order to bring her to her senses about Nathan. All of the characters were well written and they encouraged to reader to continue reading. The next book promises to be just as enjoyable.

Rose Devlin and her friend and business partner Sage Tanton, whose psychic abilities seem to get the two of them in lots of trouble, are ready to dive in and cause tons of confusion in this start of the Harrington Bay mysteries. Rose first meets Detective Nathan Bryant as he chases down a thief and she is knocked down in the tackle. The thief had stolen a little girl’s stuffed skunk at the bank. But a second thief runs up and snatches the stuffed skunk and runs off! Rose passes the bank and sees the crying girl being rushed out by a man. When Rose returns to the store, Sage has a vision of the same little girl that reveals she is in trouble and needs help.
Nathan and his partner, Officer Tom Frost, show up at the shop looking for the person who called in asking about the missing girl but wouldn’t leave a name. Rose needs them to help her with finding the girl. But Rose has always been protective and tried not to let people know about Sage’s visions so, with the best of intentions, they are willing to lie to cover up some of that information. When Mrs. Wilkinson called Rose’s name, Sage answered each time, so the police had the wrong name for the wrong one. Rose decided to continue the misidentification which starts the confusion off! Lying to the police never turns out well – they always know when you do. And Nathan has had a bad personal experience in the past with a woman’s lies and betrayal. Will the four of them be able to help the little girl? Or will they hopelessly clutter up the investigation and make things worse?
First, I absolutely loved the cover! Then reading the cute story line and meeting the quirky characters made the entire thing a wonderful experience. Humor most especially draws me into a book, and this one has plenty of it! The reader must be willing to not look too closely at police procedure details and just enjoy the interactions and by-play to experience this fun read! If you are a stickler for details, you could go a little crazy…
This was a.good.clean fun mystery. A few lies thrown into the mix caused some strife. I can’t wait to read more of her books!

Sage It Out
a psychic mystery romance
Harrington Bay Mysteries Book 1
Shereen Vedam
This was a good book. It was lighthearted, and fun. I enjoyed the characters, and the storyline. The mystery was entertaining with a good plot twist. I enjoyed it.
sometimes it is nice to have someone other than a cat and a best friend at your side when you need someone.
Ray the taxidermist just is not likely to be that guy.
Rose was afraid to choose anyone to be beside her if her friend Sage suffered more difficult psychic visions from being near them. Touching a handkerchief from Nathan have Sage several visions, but nothing at all from his partner Tom.
A lie to protect her friend leads to a tangled web of lies between Nathan and Rose, who was betrayed by his ex with his previous partner. Although she feels drawn to Nathan, Rose is afraid to take a chance that could cause her friend Sage more pain, or risk the same kind of loss for herself that her mother felt when abandoned by her father.
Rose is a care giver, bound to it since her father disappeared – and the pain of visions for Sage, and the doubt and teasing Sage suffered because of them make her vulnerable.
Can they all learn to take new risks, and be open to love, trust, and a different kind of future?
Sweet and befuddling adventure, mystery, and love story. An awesome KU read.
